Isn't that obvious? There are 2 pumps, a manual one sticking out, and a small one intended for motor in the back. You can see more details about the manual pump in this pic: http://images.bricks.../42053_alt3.jpg I really love the B-model, because it has a lot of realistic details and closely resemble the real L30G. However, the stickers on the panels in B-models are different from those on ones in A-model. That means I'll have peel off the A-model ones to use the B-model ones, which I really don't like. And I just discover another shortcoming of the B-model. As you can see in the picture, the front section are connected to the rear ones only through 2 liftarms on the top of the turntable. This connection will be very flimsy. -

When a BWE talks about a BWE in a BWE thread, we have BWE-ception! -

Why won't you review the BWE Jim? I really love your high-res photos with grey backgrounds. -

Oh thanks Jim for the offer! I've always wondered: - How many push does it take for the crane arm to raise. - How long can the crane arm stays erected after the hand pump has been pushed. I mean, there's no air tank to maintain the internal pressure, so at some point the crane arm will fall. - Does the set come with extra part for the B-model-only stickers? The Volvo loader set has 2 stickers for the 5x11 black panel in both models, but only provides one 5x11 black panel. So if I want to use the B-model sticker I'll have to peel off the A-model one on the panel, which I don't want to. So I wanna see if TLG does something about that this time. Not related to this post, but are you going to review the BWE also, or is it gonna be someone else? -
Thanks a lot! The Porsche completely dwarfs the 42039, and makes 42000 looks boney like a tree branch.

Lovely! I've been waiting for this picture. Can you provide some shot from another angles, like from the front, side, or above? Also, in case you also have a 8070, I'd love to see 8070 compared with those 3.

Since when were clutch gears produced in yellow? -

The undercarriage alone already has 12 frames. The upper belt has 26 frames. The lower body of the turret has 10 frames. So at least 48 frames already. -
You know, at first I have no interest in the Porsche, and various reviews discourage me further. But this topic now makes me wanna own this set and apply all the mods to upgrade the set myself. Most of the time I just build models right according to the instructions, but this one really makes me wanna mod. Maybe that is what TLG is after? I mean the feeling of fiddling and finding out and upgrading by yourself.

I think another way to solve this without removing the two red clutch gears is to attach them to the grey frictionless 2L pins. I'm afraid that's not accurate. For one red clutch gear next to the changeover catch, even if it's not engaged, it still rotates, and with different speed from its axle, because movement from the engaged clutch gear is transferred back. Check the video, it's Sariel's review when he plugged the motor in.

I have been quite reluctant on spending my money on Lego recently because I've already had quite a number of big Technic sets, but if yours were on sale I'll buy with no hesitation! -

I assume that you intend to put your gearbox in the same place at the model's one. You can take a look at the picture below; there are only spaces for 3 yellow axles going down from the upper arm. Your gearbox has 6 different output axles. So I can't really imagine how you'll route all 6 of them down. -

Holy molly, that's a lot. How do you intend to pass all 6 axles down the superstructure? -

Why don't you make 4 and 5 control 2 tracks separately, like in 8043? -
I have some idea to put a gear indicator near the steering wheel. In the building instruction: - Step 137: Replace the 4L axle with a 8L axle or longer. - Step 159: Turn the orange connector with axle hole up. - Step 162: Replace the 12L axle with a 10L axle, or just don't push the 12L axle past the 12-tooth black bevel gear. Now the gear changing axle is extended on top of the steering wheel. Now the speedometers have to be compromised in some ways, which I haven't figured out yet. I'd like to see someone develop more from this.
