I couldn't resist the urge so I pressed the button... but on amazon.de! For a luxury set like this I'd rather not buy from ebay because I could get a Lepin or sth. 219.99 EUR + shipping won't be much different from 240 EUR anyway. But Jim, don't you already have one from TLG

Milan revealed the prototypes for the Fire Plane and the Heavy Lift Helicopter: I feel fortunate that the prototype for the Heavy Lift Helicopter didn't make way to the official set. It looks horrifying... -

The picture is available in this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhMSp0RLijI 0:03, in the right margin of the left column. It looks like a minifig in the underwater vessel. -
I didn't expect to see Jim in the Bionicle forum

Official video from CLAAS about this set: It's really strange that Michael Jeppesen appears in the Lego designer video for this set, and has his name on the set plate, but the designer appearing in this video is Olav. I don't know who's the main designer anymore...

Technic 2017 Set Discussion

I've just noticed that there's a minifig in the deep-sea vessel in the Searching Ship set. It's been a while for a Technic set to officially include a minifig. -
It used about 95% of the parts, especially all the liftarms, even those with stickers. The remaining parts are small connectors, some axles, and a half of the clamshell bucket. For me the B model is a fun build, but the final result is disappointing, lack playability, and doesn't look as good as the A model. - The truck looks disproportionate because the big cabin stays the same, but the body is shortened. From side angle it looks bad, with the gap between the front mudguards and the wheels. It can only look good when it's in 3/4 angle. - The outriggers are flimsy and can't really support the crane. That leads to the problem that after a while the base of the crane tend to bend downwards. - The crane rotation is really slow, and can't be done manually, because it uses a worm gear. Since I bought the set I have only built the B-model about 2-3 times. The rest of the time the set stays at the A model.

Does anyone notice that since 2015 the background for Technic sets no longer have that light burst and only feature realistic scenes -

It is used to secure the lighting wire in case you motorize the set. You can see that in the instruction, page 233. -
What I meant to ask was that, why using 1 clutch gear makes no function work at all, but using 2 clutch gears does?
-
Okay, so after 2 months of building and disassembling the BWE, I finally got it to work properly. In the previous attempts I only use 1 clutch gear, because I thought doing so would reduce the sensitivity. But none of the function worked. Today I used 2 clutch gears, and guess what, it worked Can anyone enlighten me why this happen

Another idea for 42062 B model is a truck with trailer. The trailer has a crane at the bottom that can pick up the two containers. Similar to 42043 B model. The basic idea is that TLG tends to make B model that uses the same specialized parts of the A model. Since the A model has 10 wheels and the telescoping gear rack, I think of that way. -
Designer challenge for the BWE is up: http://www.lego.com/en-us/technic/videos/bucket-wheel-excavator-challenge-56edc0cc0bff42179493e93eacaae5f3 Highlights: - The amount of 2x2 bricks needed to make a heap for the BWE to scoop is 120 litres - 8 hungry BWE feeding on a pile of bricks

I have a feeling that, for that Container Transport set with a stacker and a truck, its B model will be a 10-wheel mobile crane Does that sound familiar to you -

Probably just another RC vehicle with tracks, but has a different name. 9398 B-model, remember?
