  1. Hmmm, from the sounds of it, I'll have to buy 2 sets, one to build, and one to add to my collection, but on second thought that would require a ton of sorting, and I'm very limited on space right now.
  2. The dots on the map would by anonymous, be users could opt to share they're username.
  3. If your correct, and I think you are, it'll be interesting to see how much strain the belt can take of running the bucket and it's self, I plan on some hard core testing of this feature.
  4. Well the 42048 go kart has a functional steering wheel, although it's mounted in the center.
  5. not being able everyday to work on the model, and see it in person by one another is the hardest part of collaboration, I cant think of any other people that live in Kentucky here in the US that are avid technic fans, and if there are they're probably a couple hours away, it would kinda be nice to have a map, thats anonyomus, of the entire world, each user could put up a pin on the map of they're location, just to see how were spread across the world.
  6. if you look in the cab of 42043, it has the steering wheel mount on both left and right side, not sure if it was intentional, or just simplified building, but its there.
  7. your correct, almost like a cvt transmission you can choose any ratio of steering in between the 2 endstops, it works better with the 3 selector positions as they hold the steering in place. you would have to use a small LA in order to fine tune the positioning of the selector and hold it in place. if you have the pieces to build it, i would, as its a really good base for building vehicles or tractor.Barman, wonderful recreation, now were just waiting on dokludi to recreate the whole machine:)
  8. If I'm able to purchase this set in October, I've got a dashboard project going for this year, I will keep the clutch for bucket and belt drive, but separate it from movement and slewing, because you might need to back out and turn through of a rockface all at one, just for quicker transitions.
  9. That is amazing work, to be able to make the balls always go forward, but it's also so simple.
  10. Oh the chassis pieces in 42055, God I'll be in heaven. I love to build frames with tons of chassis.
  11. My first ever lego set was 42009, I had a bucket for random standard bricks when I was little, but that whole bucket disappeared. I saw 42009 in Google images while doing research for class. I fell in love with technic and never looked back.
  12. Maybe it has parts for an different attachments? Maybe a metal grab? That's not shown and kept secret.
  13. I wonder how many unimogs will be redesigned to handle these new tires. New crawler mocs:)
  14. I'm gonna moc a C18 CAT for my Claas when I get it. Turn some serious power from it:) the battery box will replace the front weight.
  15. Well for anyone that's gonna invest a lot of time and money into technic, I suggest building mechanisms similar to akiyuki's liftarm sorter and axle sorter. I'm pretty sure there's not instructions on them. But they would work wonders for sorting a collection. On the actual topic, I would purchase 42043 as a starter set, as it provides a great base for modifications, learning, and incorporate's alot of useful parts for building. I'd also say to get 42009 if you can before prices go up on it now, its amazing to me the amount of gear that went into the crane. The outriggers are a neat use of the red 8 tooth gear, and it steers like a charm.
  16. I tell you what a 6L pump with double outputs would be cool, every stroke would be generating pressure. Oh dear lego gods please make this part come true. And I don't think that would be to hard to accomplish either, a check valve on output.
  17. I'll use the little brother to get to the top of 42055 when I releases. Wonderful build, the arm extension is cool.
  18. i personally think the silage plow looks better then the crane does.
  19. I ordered pump model kpm27h, I think yours was kpm27c. Shouldn't be any major difference.
  20. The pump only requires .3 amps. So I'm pretty sure it'll run off of the PF BB.
  21. Small ones would be more appropriate, a new turntable is wider then 7 studs, so there by teeth sticking out on both sides. so your probably right.
  22. what on earth is happening there?? On a different note, what does the superstructure use as a pivot point? I think a simple pin would shear of after a while, ifs its as heavy as it looks, and an axle doesn't seem like an efficient attachment method. What if the new style turntables are used for pivots, the mounting points fit nicely into a frame piece, and would provide great strength. I hope it's designed this way now that I'm thinking of it.
  23. thank you for this image, i forgot about philohome.
