  1. I built the hobson by.looking at your video, and after a little bit of playing around, I put a 8 tooth gear on the input shaft then meshed a 40 tooth gear with it driven by a L motor. So now it turns at roughly 850 rpms, and the joint runs smoothly at that speed. No lock ups or skips. I'm still mesmerized by it.
  2. well you can add another one to that list :)
  3. Have we seen the stickers in the wheels before in previous sets?
  4. I've gotten to the point now that I'll buy a set for the parts in it, or what I could moc on it to make it more enjoyable. I bought 42008 a couple months ago after 42043 was released with the intention to make it fully pneumatic, and now it is. I'll most likely pick up the dragster for the assortmemt of panels, and the go kart for the 11*3 curved panels.
  5. the problem I foresee with that bucket is that it wouldn't create a rigid connection. And if the bucket were to touch the floor when spinning they'd just bend backwards.
  6. from the look of it on the website you can order them right now. And it doesn't look like a pre order.
  7. http://m.toysrus.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=3686917&sr=1&origkw=lego%20technic&s=A-ProductAge if your in the USA you can go ahead and purchase the 4 smallest sets from Toys R Us. Plenty of pictures to look at also.
  8. thank you for figuring that out. That will make the future picture hunting so much easier. I went ahead and saved all of them
  9. why hello there. What sets do you plan to pick up this coming year?
  10. Does anyone else think the class xerion will have unimog rims, but proper treads? Or will road treads be used, depicting municipal road ditch clearing.
  11. I think that there will be a Volvo excavator, featuring all new pneumatics, 1 2x11 cylinder for lifting the arm, 1 2x11 cylinder to bend the arm, and a 1x11 cylinder to curl the bucket. It may even feature a grabber underneath the arm to grab things between the bucket and it. All ran off of 1 pump, and 2 joysticks for independent track control.
  12. IMHO panels wonderful in moderation. They look cleaner then 5 1x11 lift arms stacked on top of each other. Its a win win really. Keep the model looking clean, but also keep the build process interesting. They're is no way I would've built 42043 if the bed was all lift arms.
  13. i know exactly how you feel, im gonna ask for the L350F for christmas, then time to save money, or get a job.
  14. The Volvo, Class, IP car, and Bucket Wheel Excavator, if released like past sets, will be released in August/September of 2016
  15. I didn't even think about a universal joint, smart. He's probably just talking about Panels in New colors, from looking at the preliminary images, there's no new panels I could notice. There is what looks to be a new panel, the seat of the airport fire truck, and the two side wings on the hydroplane racer.
  16. I see something beautiful and massive taking shape, I’ve always wanted to add one or two more axles to 42009. However, leave the boom the same length, and make a frame for it to rest on the crane chassis.
  17. Maybe in the Class Xerion they might be green, to represent the brand more, id personally like to see, metallic or chrome pistons, as they would add more realism to our fake little engines that dont turn as fast as they should.
  18. More than likely the steering will be similar to 42009. The helicopter is quite appealing to me for some odd reason, whether it be its size, or functions. Something really draws me to it.
  19. If you look at the picture of the helicopter, Right above the IM in image, there seems to be a changeover catch indicating a gearbox. Also, if you look closely on the top of the firetruck there is a tan 20-tooth double bevel, I wonder if it controls the firearm or steering. If it controls the arm, I am curious as to how TLG went about routing the two axles for movement, there a joint on top the truck, then the elbow in the arm.
  20. most likely. im just itching to see what lego has come up with for them. new gears would be heavenly, theyd make transmissions more interesting, and functions would be easier to build and route.
  21. Hàs anyone heard anything about xerion or bucket wheel excavator?
  22. louisville, or lagrange kentucky. i need one close to me, so i can buy new sets
  23. If messing around with the url's is correct, we are also getting a bucket wheel excavtor for 2016, http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Bucket-Wheel-Excavator-42055 2016 will be interesting but exspensive if the 2h sets are all cranked up to what there supposed to be, either the xerion or the bucket wheel excavator will be the star of the show.
  24. i think id have to choose 42043 over 8110, just because of all the automotive parts, gearboxes, and the new pneumatics are a big seller for me. i never liked 8110 to much, i thought it was to bulky and unstable. i havent been able to get and build the arocs just yet, but i really think ill like it.
