I built the hobson by.looking at your video, and after a little bit of playing around, I put a 8 tooth gear on the input shaft then meshed a 40 tooth gear with it driven by a L motor. So now it turns at roughly 850 rpms, and the joint runs smoothly at that speed. No lock ups or skips. I'm still mesmerized by it.

Are you from Kentucky?? -
I've gotten to the point now that I'll buy a set for the parts in it, or what I could moc on it to make it more enjoyable. I bought 42008 a couple months ago after 42043 was released with the intention to make it fully pneumatic, and now it is. I'll most likely pick up the dragster for the assortmemt of panels, and the go kart for the 11*3 curved panels.

I think that there will be a Volvo excavator, featuring all new pneumatics, 1 2x11 cylinder for lifting the arm, 1 2x11 cylinder to bend the arm, and a 1x11 cylinder to curl the bucket. It may even feature a grabber underneath the arm to grab things between the bucket and it. All ran off of 1 pump, and 2 joysticks for independent track control.

I didn't even think about a universal joint, smart. He's probably just talking about Panels in New colors, from looking at the preliminary images, there's no new panels I could notice. There is what looks to be a new panel, the seat of the airport fire truck, and the two side wings on the hydroplane racer.

If you look at the picture of the helicopter, Right above the IM in image, there seems to be a changeover catch indicating a gearbox. Also, if you look closely on the top of the firetruck there is a tan 20-tooth double bevel, I wonder if it controls the firearm or steering. If it controls the arm, I am curious as to how TLG went about routing the two axles for movement, there a joint on top the truck, then the elbow in the arm.

If messing around with the url's is correct, we are also getting a bucket wheel excavtor for 2016, http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Bucket-Wheel-Excavator-42055 2016 will be interesting but exspensive if the 2h sets are all cranked up to what there supposed to be, either the xerion or the bucket wheel excavator will be the star of the show.

i think id have to choose 42043 over 8110, just because of all the automotive parts, gearboxes, and the new pneumatics are a big seller for me. i never liked 8110 to much, i thought it was to bulky and unstable. i havent been able to get and build the arocs just yet, but i really think ill like it.
