LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Richpepperell replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Not yet, but I picked it up early at SWCE for £12. Nice build and some fun ideas in the book. Most recent pilot minifig but same old Dak helmet... Again! Those legs would be great for Geonosians too! -
Is there a general licenced B&P thread somewhere? I can find the Star Wars only one, but would love to see all licenced pieces. Does anyone have a link (I don't find it super easy to find stuff on here).

After seeing the dual molds and arm/side leg printing on the new Batman set minifigues today, I can't think of a good reason we shouldn't get them for Star Wars... Other than the fact they know we'll keep on spending regardless... -

It could be we see something interesting this weekend after all when this display gets unwrapped http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/07/20/lego-for-kids-and-grown-ups-at-san-diego-comic-con-is-that-star-wars-rogue-one-hiding/#.V5DiJ3JL7TQ.twitter -
You're right, but I think the chain print spoils it for me. This CMF series looks like it contains quite a few useful pieces - especially the clear 'web shooter' pieces with the ice queen.

Having just re-read 'son of Dathomir', I'm keen to see a Morher Talzin!

Shadows of the Empire - Great potential?

I was at the rebels panel and Filoni discussed how the same person who original designed the Outrider for SOTE is now working on Rebels, hence the inclusion of this model YT freighter. He was also quite clear that Dash Rendar would not be showing up in Rebels at any point. One inclusion I'd love to see would be a Xizor mini figure - using the hair piece from the ninjago Nadakhan figure and a printed 'wedding dress-style' piece would be great. The Falleen featured a lot in the clone wars so he could become canon again. -

It's an easy miss for me. The thing is, I don't feel the set itself is too bad, it's the timing of the release. This time of year used to be slim pickings for new sets and if welcome something like this. Now however, it's only 8 weeks later that we'll get some far superior-looking RO sets followed almost immediately (fingers crossed by the Death Star. Then only another three months until the first 2017 wave. I for one am going to have to start getting more selective rather than just picking up entire waves. -

After attending the rebels panel at swce today, I'd say that Lego has some serious updating of the entire core team to do next year. Kanan, Ezra, Sabine and Zeb are all radically different. Loads of other important new characters too - Thrawn, Wedge, Price, Maul, Mandalorians, the list goes on. What with some really major characters in the comics (Dr Aphra) and books (the entire aftermath cast) it's going to be hard for Lego (and my wallet) to keep up with all the new Star Wars content soon! -
First clip for Rebels season 3 sees a make over for Ezra I know it's not a rumour, but surely we'll see a new minifigure for him next year - I'd love a Hondo too! I'm off to see what I can put together for a v2 Ezra!

This is from the blurb for the Lego panel on Saturday: "Take a look back on the first 17 years of LEGO Star Wars, the increasing number of copies, and get a brief glimpse into what the future of LEGO Star Wars holds." Sounds promising - I've really got my fingers crossed on this one! -

Ghost Kenobi will be the absolute icing on the cake! Surely there aren't any other options minifigure wise? Yoda and R2 are a given - if we get a Bespin Luke too it would be a dream set! -

Good grief- that is by far and away the worst build yet to come with that magazine. Nobody would even know what it was supposed to be if it wasn't labelled. Good news (if true) about the system scale Yoda set though. Where did this intel come from? -

Captain Rex's AT-TE currently £76 at Tesco direct. Is this the right place to post this sort of thing or is there a more appropriate thread? Seems like something people would be interested in.- 217 replies

Speaking of the new game, I saw this display stand for it in Tesco today, featuring a really weird cannon build for the resistance X-wings. The cannons look way over-sized to me but I do quite like them! Also, free mini Poe's X-wing if you buy the game in Tesco. -

I know this isn't a rumour, but I just wanted to say I love all the discussion in the run up to the new set releases on force Friday. It gets my excited levels right up, then peaks with just enough time for the excitement to build up again for the film release. -

the castle is due in September right? Does that mean we might not see the Death Star as part of this years Force Friday? I really hope we do - it's going to be my 40th birthday present, and I've been 40 for 6 months now! -

Got the chance to pick up the UCS Hoth set for £90 - no minifures or big figs - but all builds. Does anyone who actually bought this think it's worth iot at this price. The only minifigs I'd actually be sad about are the droid as I have tons of Hoth rebels, all the main cast as well as a couple of Taun tauns and a wampa already. I know the set is over-priced and under-whelming, but matbe for this price it's worth it - what do people think? -

Sold! Are the more photos to see anywhere so I can work out my brick link order? The red plates through the middle really pop too - did it make much difference to the structural build? -

After spotting some Super Heroes Lego Junior sets in the supermarket today it got me thinking... Do you think we'll ever see Lego Star Wats Juniors or even duplo sets? There are already licensed Juniors sets and Star Wars certainly appeals to children in the right ages range (for example the (Playskool Galactic Heroes range). It might me a great way to get a few minfigures at a reasonable price as they usually come with 2 or 3 figures per set.
