  1. Actually, after taking a closer look at Rogue, I've noticed that his entire torso isn't dark green. While the center of his torso is dark green and there isn't much that can be done about it, replacing his dark green arms with dark bluish grey or black ones and giving him a cape to cover the back of his torso in case it is also dark green might make him look more like classic Wolfpack bandits.
  2. Unlike the crest on Aaron's armor, I think the crest on Danju's armor is just a design similar to Wolfpack, but not the same. As for S16 Rogue, I'd say it'd be better to wait for his character bio. Maybe they'll describe him as ex-Wolfpack bandit who joined Forestmen, which might explain the shift of colour scheme on his armor.
  3. Oh no you didn't Well, look at those swords. She is pretty much an ice warior herself
  4. Nice build, I'd love to see it in flesh(or rather, in bricks ). As others have said before, it perfectly fills the Undead Faction role for Nexo Knights. Since he goes by the name Mechromancer, I imagine of someone who uses the knight robots who have fallen in battle or discarded by the Kingdom of Knighton, reconstructing his robot soldiers from their remains like a necromancer creates his undead army from the dead. Besides his undead-robot knights, perhaps he might even construct bigger ones that can go toe to toe with bigger guys like The King's Mech and Infernox. Also, I'm interested to hear whether he is allied to any one of the current factions or is independent and creates his own faction?
  5. That beard piece was first released as a part of Vitruvius from TLM sets, so you can get it before they even release The Book Of Knights While he definitely looks like he would, I'm not sure about him fitting to Castle. To be honest, I'm still expecting him to have a jetpack under his cape and a plasma caster as a wizards staff
  6. While the roof technique is impressive and the build itself is awesome all around, bird cage next to the banana crate is the star of the show for me
  7. Exactly! Chima has really nicely printed legs, but they are ruined by claws and talons, which completely takes them out of the picture for lots of characters. I had the same thing when I first heard about a pirate faction for Ninjago. At first I was excited for new minifigures and parts which can be used in Pirates and Castle builds, then I found out that there are faction symbols on ALL of them. Quite the shame, since those minifigures had a great potential to be used in several different builds, had they not had their weird jolly roger with a asian hat printed on them. True, it works for a small number of characters, but the same couldn't be said for a wider use. Sure, one can give a proper backstory for a wizard/mage/priest who has a big gem on his robes/armor, one can create an assassins guild or a mercenary group who has taken up snakes as their symbol. But using torsos and legs with same/similar property that actually stands out(such as giant gems or faction symbols) for everyone in the kingdom, in a town or even in a small village? No, that'd never work.
  8. Power Functions in a Castle MOC? That's not something we see everyday. The windmill itself is lovely and I really like the scenery as well. Not much I could say about changing it, but windmills require quite a bit of power to work and I think the fan looks a bit small to be able collect enough wind to do that. I think slightly larger wings (2 studs longer and 1 stud wider wings) would look better, while not colliding with the rest of the building. Also, supported on Lego Ideas, best of luck!
  9. Thank you Thanks a lot! I've always wanted to buy this set, but sadly, I haven't even see it anywhere other than on catalogues. So when I was planning about rebuilding an old set, I felt kind of obliged to do that for Forestmen's Crossing
  10. While the building was in a good condition in the original set (6071), I took the liberty to build it as a ruined tower. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks! Actually, building the tower with vines on it was much easier than placing the vines on the wall in LDD This is the first time I've built a body of water with 1x1 trans clear round plates. Even though it is a small area, it took much more 1x1 round plates than I thought it'd be Thanks a lot! Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it! I was a bit worried about the vegetation, since I only have the standard green limb pieces at the moment. It might've turned out a bit differently if I put dark green limb pieces here and there.
  11. Nice build, I like how you used the gargoyle and the CMF janitors scrub. I pity the treasure hunter who will try to break into this tomb!
  12. Wow, this is a great build, it depicts the scene perfectly! The cacti, dried desert plants, the desert slowly taking over the cobblestone road and of course, the mercenaries look very good. I also like how you made the pack camel. Is the guy in golden armor mercenary leader? If so, then maybe making him ride a dark tan camel (while the rest of them are riding tan camels) would make him stand out better as the leader. But it is already a great build as it is now, best of luck in the mini-challenge! (even though I don't support the Desert King )
  13. Thanks a lot for the positive feedback from all of you. I'm really glad that you liked it!
  14. Beautiful scenery! I really like how you put some plants on the water and the colour changes between those plants and the plants on the cliff. And your tree techinque is mind blowing!
  15. Thanks for suggestions! I agree that more leaves would look better, but I couldn't keep the limbs stable, they kept dropping as soon as I touched them, so I had to remove them. Perhaps I can try fixing them into each other with green carrot top pieces(33183), like the vines on the towers wall. I'm looking forward to try it out as soon as I get green 33183 parts! Also, I like the idea of a taller tree, a bridge that goes into a hollowed-out tree might look more interesting! Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it! By the way, this is my first MOC(well, more of a modification) in GoH, so I'm not sure if I have to register this in the free build topic. Also, sorry if I went against any rules, since I've opened a topic before creating my sigfig(I'm still waiting for my parts to arrive to do that ).
  16. There once was a tower near a river in the woods of Avalonia, an outpost of soldiers. The outpost is constantly ravaged by nature and bandit raids, so after many years, the commander finally decided that it is not worth the effort or resources and ordered his troops to another location, abandoning the nearly ruined outpost to its fate. Due to its strategic position nearby a busy road, Forestmen wasted no time to take over the abandoned tower. As skilled in stealth and marksmenship as Forestmen are, they aren't expert carpenters or builders, so the tower never reached to its former glory, but after a few repairs and extensions the place became livable enough, as well as allowing its new occupants to flee into the safety of the forest through the bridge if needed. 17. Great build! I always thought that hair piece is perfect for a witcher, I'm glad that I'm not alone in this Is this a drowner or just a random water monster? I guess Kayran is out of question since you've already done a water monster, but I'd love to see a Draug or a Bullvore in the same style.
  18. I like how they march through the Great Carpet Plains Seriously, it's a brillant photography idea, it looks so natural and fits perfectly!
  19. Amazing work! As for the bigger arch, while it isnt a whole lot bigger, this might be a bit better than using two 76768 arch pieces: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=14707&name=Brick,%20Arch%201%20x%2012%20x%203%20Raised%20Arch&category=%5BBrick,%20Arch%5D#T=C
  20. I'm dissapointed that there aren't any shields in those battlepacks, but I'll be sure to get a few of the lava monsters battlepack anyway. Although, I do hope they won't be made of Chinese plastic, like Pirates and Castle battlepacks and City minifigurepacks(?). Some of the helmets didn't even stay on the heads of soldiers from the 2013 Castle battlepacks, and one of the police minifigurepack from City had a broken suitcase piece and a dog with only 3 feet Oh please not! To be honest, those scurriers are the only designs I couldn't bring myself to like. So, since I'm planning to use lava monsters in fantasy mocs, that evil guys battlepack is a must have! By the way, did they confirm the mushroom monsters from the sticker book as the next evil faction? I wonder if they'll have a connection with Jestro. If not, I think a battle between 3 different factions might be much more interesting than having new evil guys teaming up with old evil guys. Besides, I don't think lava and plants/mushrooms really suit each other anyway
  21. Those books aren't cool at all... ...because they are in a lava castle! *ba dum tss* Sorry, I couldn't resist
  22. Your signature, sir, is made of pure awesomeness!
  23. Well, that all depends on what you like. Medieval Market Village is one of the few civilian Castle sets. If you like the military aspect of the Castle, then you'll be better off not buying it, since MMV has only 2 soldiers and doesn't offer anything else on that aspect. But, if you'd like to make a village or a town besides castles, keeps and barracks, then MMV is a must have. It might be a bit more expensive than it once was, but unless it is triple the original price, it is still well worth the money. Also, while you are at it, I'd also recommend 6918 Blacksmith Attack and 7189 Mill Village Raid, as these 3 sets perfectly fit together. I remember finding MMV, MVR, Blacksmith Attack, Court Jester(7953) and Wizard(7955) in the same store. It was a bit pricey, but still one of the best deal I've ever had. Also, Kingdoms Joust is a great set as well. While it also is a retired set, with a bit of luck, you can still find it in a store.
  24. A great and fun build, I love this! You captured the goblin structures perfectly, looking like it'll fall apart with a single touch, yet powerful enough to level a whole village alone. By the way, is that bright green Heroica figure a voodoo doll? Also, is the war drum near that a custom piece? From what I can tell, Lego usually doesn't like the idea of using custom pieces, so replacing that small bit might give you a better chance in Lego Ideas.
  25. That's a great landscaping you did there! Also, I never thought Fortrex is that small, especially when compared to videos on Lego website. Clay's Rumble Blade actually gets out of gates of Fortrex in one video, but when comparing the sets, CRB is almost as big as the Fortrex itself Also, I'd like to see other pictures, but I'm afraid that link doesn't work.
