That looks great! Colour scheme is amazing and the tusk/claw/pincer things are very well done! Only thing I'd like to add is about its legs, which look a bit short to me. Slightly longer legs will bring the ultralisk closer to its real scale, which is giant in the game.

Welcome to Eurobricks! There are no information on a new Space theme. I'd really love to get a new Space theme in next year, but while Star Wars theme on, I'm afraid we won't see a Space theme anytime soon.

Weapon and technology restrictions makes sense for a medieval fantasy setting, I asked just to be sure about how advanced are they. Haven't thought about your second point before, but you are right. Besides having people look through every single build; having things like the best wizard, fastest horse or strongest army might push other people for the kind of the competition which usually ends up sour for both sides. Anyway, thanks for the explanation!

Well, I'm sure that I saw a character with his/her hammer golem from Nocturnus. Not sure if it was a clockwork golem or magical one though.
-
That sounds interesting. I see that they aren't common, but still, I'd love to at least know about that. Is there a build on that or is it just named in the lore? Thanks for the answer, I'll be sure to remember that.

Very nice build, I love the little details you put here and there. Melting snow and roots sprung out of ground are very well done. I also like how the patches of ice under the trees are thicker and have a light blue colour instead, with the shadow of trees sheltering them from the sunlight.

Thanks a lot for your answers. I was planning to use a few of them for my future builds and I'm glad they exist in the setting. I see. I guess having seawed pieces upside down in that angle is physically a bit hard, as parts of them would've been visible in the back. But photoshop or custom parts makes sense. Thanks. Lastly, I forgot to ask this in my earlier question, but what about compasses? Do they also exist or do sailors navigate their vessels based on their knowledge and experience?

I've been wondering about the technology in Historica lately. Obviously, I don't expect modern or sci-fi stuff in a fantasy setting, but seeing there are dwarves and possibly other tech oriented races, I think the peak of technology is hardly bows and arrows. Are there siege machines like catapults, ballistae and battering rams, is the crafting techniques advanced enough to establish rails for (non-motorized) vagons in mines or fancy glass smithing to make magnifying glasses or telescopes (I do remember a greenhouse in an Avalonian build), did dwarves or an alchemist discover black powder (nothing advanced enough to make modern guns, I mean primitive black powder, like the one invented by Saruman in Lord of the Rings, which can only be filled in a barrel and used as a landmine/explosive)? What is the extent of the technology? By the way, totally unrelated to my first question, what is the hat and hairpiece combination used for the archer lady in the guilds logo? I don't remember seeing it anywhere. The closest it looks like is the hat and hairpiece combination of Red Harrington from The Lone Ranger theme, but it doesn't look like it is the same. I mean this one:

To be honest, it is kind of a disambiguation. Bricklink classified it as a separate theme, while Brickipedia and Brickset both classified it as a Castle subtheme. Then again, none of the three are official Lego sites, so we'll probably never get a solid answer. However, Ninja theme started in 1998 and continued until 2000, previous Castle subthemes have been discontinued for Ninja to start, and no other Castle theme was active until Ninja theme ended. This is what led me to think that Ninja is a subtheme of Castle and not a separate theme. Also, I totally forgot about themes like Aquazone and Adventurers. We might see exclusive sets for them in future as well, but my bet for next year is either City or a Western exclusive set.

I'd love to see a classic ninja or classic samurai as an exclusive set, especially something like a samurai with a special horse armor/barding or a ninja with a glider like in the sets back in 1998-1999, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen. Lego released Ninja as a Castle subtheme, and since they'll make a Classic Castle exclusive set within this year, I don't see them making another Castle exclusive set right after having one this year, that is, if they'll ever make another Castle exclusive set. Only classic Lego themes that didn't get an exclusive sets are Western and City, so I think they'll make exclusive sets for them first. By the way, I'm not sure if they released Vikings as a Castle subtheme or a separate theme, but if it actually is a separate theme, then there is a chance that we might see an exclusive Vikings set in the future.

Those are great! I like them all except for the Troll. When talking about a troll, I expect something big (like Warcraft style trolls or Elder Scrolls style trolls) or even oversized (like Norse mythology style trolls, LotR style trolls or Lego Fantasy Era trolls), so this looks more like a troll baby to me But the others are awesome! I particularly liked Southern Businessman, and the little robot of Robotics Engineer is so cute Piper is great as well, I'd get a bunch of him, as he has a lot of useful pieces for civillians for Castle MOCs. As for your second wave, or rather, Series B, I should say that I like this one better than Series A. Holiday Elf Gİrl is too cute to be anything other than my favourite, new rabbit doll piece is really well done, and the letter to santa is brilliant! Paranormal Investigator is another great idea, I like how you used minifigures from earlier series on his investigation file. Lake Fisherman and Archer are also great, that big fish and new quiver pieces look useful. I'd probably buy several of them for the same reason as Series A Piper.

This is the leaflet Lego Castle community deserves, but not the one it needs right now. ...well, on a second thought, it might be that we need it right now as well!

Wow, it looks fantastic! The rockwork, buildings, minifigures and the natural arch, all of them look great! I'd also comment on the roofwork, and the balcony, and the pier, but I just can't take my eyes off that perfectly done arch! By the way, it's a bit surprising to see a Mitgardian MOC without snow and ice. Does this part of your story take place in summer, or is the island on the southern parts of Mitgardia?

Lovely scene! Old man teaching the kid about ice fishing, while two dock workers are busy with definitely less enjoyable things. The overturned boat is nicely done and I really like that you used clear parts on the roof besides white ones. Minifigures turned out nicely, I especially liked the old man. Also, is that a fish net or a roll of cloth in the last picture?

Welcome To Our New Pirates Regulator: Kurigan
Sorrelon replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
Three cheers for our new regulator! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! -
Oh right, thanks, my bad. For some reason, I remembered that torso being black with hints of red instead of the other way around.
-
That looks perfect! By the way, is that a custom torso? I dont remember seeing that torso in red before.
-
So we'll get Exo Suit Mk. II in the summer wave? Awesome!

Technology is limited to their vehicles and not evident on their weapons? Haven't you seen any of the Ultimate sets for evil guys? I wouldn't exactly call things like backpack mounted helicopter or a rotating dual fireblade machine non-technological. Given the artwork we've seen so far, I'm guessing their vehicles, weapons, armor and structures will contain a lot less tech, if any. I think they might have more of a traditional fantasy look, or perhaps Lego might try something new and make everything they have organic, including weapons, buildings and even weapons, similar to the Zerg race from Starcraft. There already is a mushroom sword, a giant water behemoth (a portable base like Fortrex perhaps?) and sentient trees (a living watchtower anyone?), so I wouldn't call that idea too far fetched. I wonder if they are allied to Jestro and his lava monsters, or a third faction which is enemies with both of the other factions?

Review: 41180: Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle
Sorrelon replied to Velouria's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great set and outstanding review! Is this the first time we get a Ragana minifigure/minidoll? I hope they'll make an evil dragon for her in the next wave, a black & violet or black & dark pink dragon would be awesome. -
So they are taking a sharper turn towards fantasy then. Thats good. Some of the bad guys have nice equipment, especially the sword of Mate Squiddybeard and the axe of the guy in the 4th pic (?????? de Seaweed) look promising.

Are those spiders in the kitchen? Oh, and a goblin and... umm... a werewolf? I'm calling the Health Department of Historica right away! Great build! Wall is nicely textured and your floor technique is impressive!

"I'm the devil, I love metal..." I don't know whether it is intended or not, the start of your story reminds me of the rock off challenge between Tenacious D and Beelzeboss from the movie Neat build and I really liked the story. We have lots of knights, thieves, wizards, rangers, farmers, assassins, traders and pirates in guilds, but bards are somewhat of a rare sight. It'll be good to see one in the guilds, especially one that is so famous

I used to hate these guys as well, until I've found out that I could start riding his cloud by taking him out with fireball from Mario or Luigi Great build, you perfectly captured the Mario feeling, and using rubber for goggles is just brilliant!

Mine was 6258 Smuggler's Shanty. http://brickset.com/...uggler-s-Shanty Tha was also my first Lego set ever, so not only that set got me into Pirates, but it got me into Lego as well
