Love the closer look at the Headquarters. Seems like a much more substantial base set than most "bases" recently. And that Triceratops is awesome, in fact all the dinosaurs look fantastic. The minifigs are a real letdown though, very generic.

Winston was disappointed. "I was hoping for something better - anything to help jog Firewoman Sue's memory (or was it Carol? My own memory isn't what it once was)"
-
Tarn saw the familiar hubbub around the Quest board as heroes weer selected. He knew that he hadn't signed up for those quests, but was sad that only Althior had been chosen from his friends from Quest#5, He knew the mage would be a big asset to his team. He walked across to Tesni and smiled an encouraging smile despite her fierce demeanour. "Tough luck Tesni, you'd've been great in that quest."

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the minifigs look great, and generally this is a better big set than something like Echo Base, but it's still not overwhelming me. I think if I had the choice between this and the Dino HQ, for example, the Dino HQ would win out. Depends how badly I want Poison Ivy and Bane, I guess! -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to whung's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These look amazing! Some great army building potential with these - female Viking, Aztec Warrior, Space Marine and Black Knight are all standouts for me. -
Winston speaks up: "I think we should definitely go back to teh Fire Station, but I agree with the Deputy Chief, I think the fire was a deliberate attempt to draw out the fire brigade so that the tapes could be wiped or removed."
-
Tarn shook his head. "I am signed up for neither. One goes so far as to bar Barbarians from taking part. What knucklehead made that call? I hope to get picked for Quest 11, it should hopefully be a nice change of pace."
-
Tarn proudly shows off his elemental battle ax. "Hi Alexis! I did what you did and got it enhanced. I will be able to strike a mighty blow with Kyrferath!"
-
Tarn ambled back into the Hall with his new aquamarine-enfused water elemental ax. He had decided to change the name of the weapon from "Leyferath - Storm of Light" to "Kyrferath - "Wave of Light".
-
After his Quest Tarn has 220 gold pieces burning a hole in his pocket. After the discussion in Heroica Hall about elemental-fused weapons he goes to Anwyl Smokebeard and asks him to merge the Aquamarine gem with my battle ax for 50 gold. (220 - 50 = 170) He then asks Anwyl to upgrade the weapon's power from level 8 to level 9 for 90 gold (170 - 90 = 80 gold) Pleased with that, Tarn goes to Portia's and buys a Lightning Bomb for 10 gold, a Potion for 5 gold and a Tonic for 15 gold. (80 - 10 - 5 - 15 = 50)

Tarn had hoped that the Cleric would accompany him to the Market but something in her tone made him hesitate to ask her. "Thanks Ellaria" he said, and left for the Market.
-
Tarn felt the gold pieces he had acquired in his last quest rattling around in his pockets. He remembered Tesni and Alexis talking about fusing an elemental gem into a weapon. He would ask Ellaria about this. She was smart and clever and knew how the whole magic thing worked. Magic left Tarn baffled. He noticed she was talking to some scruffy Norseman. "Hey, Ellaria!" he called, hoping to get her attention.

Do they involve boats at all?

Sounds interesting

Absolutely lovely MOC. The architecture is stunning. I'm glad the Heroica RPG inspired you as well. I made my first MOC in 25 years to introduce my character.

The "love triangle" thing is part of the roleplaying. Tarn really isn't a "playa", you know, or he'd be with Ellaria already

Prison Riot! Confirmation and Discussion Thread
Rumble Strike replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I love the characters, names and concept for this Hinck! It's all very bright, colourful and moody. I do like it when people have something to hang a bit of roleplay on. It's worked in Bloodbrick II and also here. My favourite at the moment is Bate Cos still going on about the 23 cents! -
"Hi Alexis!" Tarn smiled at the Elven Ranger. "I hear you have also put your name down for Quest#11. It'd be great to quest with you again."

Suburbia - Confirmation/Discussion

Love the interaction between the Mayor and the FBI agent. "You're coming across as evil!" Especially as we all hate the FBI agent! -
Tarn took another swig of mead as he watched Tesni leave. "She's so lovely", he murmured to Ellaria, sighing. OOC: Waterbrick, although Tarn spoke about going on Quest#11 he hasn't technically signed up for it yet by putting it in bold. However if you are happy with what I wrote as a submission then I would love him to be considered.
-
"I can imagine you fighting a demon. You are right, it would be a glorious sight!" said Tarn, "But I will still miss you in my quest."
-
"I suggest a new strategy - let the Wookie Ogre win!"
-
I don't think I can make Tarn even more attractive, it wouldn't be fair on anyone else. It'd be like the all over again
-
Pffft, he's just a cleric
-
I have to admit, I thought it was pretty sweet to be in a Quest with such attractive ladies in Ellaria, Alexis and Tesni. If we could've somehow got Jess in there Tarn would've been the luckiest Barbarian in all of Eubric!
