OOC: I don't trust our QM either but I figure it can't hurt to play along during the first round. Famous last words though! Tarn will attack Crozen from the back row.
-
Still, a triple digit health Undead foe who can summon Undead reinforcements is not to be sniffed at! This will be tough, but interesting to see how the battle goes especially as not everyone in the party can damage her.
-
"Be careful what you wish for... This will be one hell of a fight!" Tarn exclaimed. He wished he had not been so fair in dishing out the loot to the party as he could have used the Sword of Darkness or the Cultist Hat to attack their undead foe. Instead he was useless, but he trusted his friends to fight hard and be victorious. OOC: Sandy, you said right at the start of the Quest that potions could also damage undead. Do I just use the potion on Crozen? Is there anything else myself and Masked can do to help?
-
Winston spoke up as the group debated where to go next. "I think we should go to Officer Scott's home first, but if everyone thinks the Town Hall is best, then that's fine too."
-
OOC: I would like to wait for Peppermint to have her say, but as far as I can see we have a majority, and I'm pretty sure her character would agree with the rest of us. Tarn spoke out to the voice they had all heard in their heads. "Crozen, we have taken out your minions, ridding this place of evil. We will not stop now."
-
Tarn looked at his companions, stared into their eyes. Ever willing Hoke, powerful Tesni, enigmatic Althior, deadly Alexis and studious yet growing in confidence Ellaria. He had fought alongside these brave men and women in his first Quest. They had shared more frights and risks than he would have thought possible. "We have come this far, bested all who opposed us. I say we finish this. But we need a consensus." .
-
The party would like to retrace their steps to get to the fork, and then take the left hand path.
-
"Did we finish with the computers before?" Winston asked.
-
"As I said before we tried to get the chest open, we need to head back to where the cavern forked and take the left hand path that we didn't go down earlier."
-
For risking all his gold, Hoke can take the ore. The rest will divide up as before: 64 gold pieces each with Alexis getting an additional 16. OOC: As party leader I will not be around over the next 12 hours. Peppermint M can be party leader in my absence if needed.
-
Tarn looks at the others. "A piece of gold, or all the gold we took, er, found? If it's all our gold, we will have to decide if we think it'll be worth it. I'm sure I've seen a tavern game similar to this, where people wager against the chance to get better items." Tarn places a gold piece on the chest. Tarn looks at the others. -
"I agree with Tesni I think we should keep exploring, and come back if we find a key. But it couldn't hurt to have a look around first." Tarn motions for Ellaria to hold the torch close to the bodies of the Cultists. Grimacing as he kneels down clsoe to them, he searches the area for a dropped key, or perhaps in a pocket or something.
-
Tarn thought about this and then frowned, his youthful features creasing up in the gloom of the cavern. "I don't want to sound hesitant, but with the way this place has had traps for us, I really don't think hitting the chest with a pickaxe is a good idea."
-
"OK, I think our best course of action is to go head back to where the cavern forked and take the left hand path that we didn't go down earlier. See what beasties are waiting for us! But first we'll just wait and see if Althior finds anything when he's digging. You never know, the key could be buried. Normally the chest is buried and the key isn't, but these Porthiars might do things differently."
-
"It's certainly suspicious behaviour but it's definitely not a crime. In fact, littering is a crime so at least they made sure it was all put away!"
-
"Any ideas about getting this chest open? I don't really want to use the axe on it in case it damages the contents inside."
-
Tarn waves the battle ax in his hands, getting a feel for the weapon. He thinks back to the Valco monastary in the mountains of Titaan, and of his mentor Rystael. All the wisdom and goodness that the older man had instilled in his young protege. He grips the handle tighter and says one word: Leyferath - 'the Storm of Light' in my native tongue.
-
"We did it! Great stuff team, we showed those Direwolves Undead who was running things! Tesni, you're so strong As for loot, as the Battle Ax is suitable only for Barbarians, and Tesni got her sword, I shall have to take it. Ellaria, I'd like you to have the [b[Phoenix Essence[/b] as it will help you with your healing role. As for the Cultist Hat, I'd like to give that to Hoke, as he didn't end up with the Flamesword. Alexis, I realises this leaves you short again and I apologise. Nothing Ranger-specific has come up yet. I hope this is satisfactory and fair for everyone. Please let me know if you have any comments."
-
I knew that Resurrection Special would bite us in the behind. This is the bloody Direwolves all over again! Except Undead ones :/
-
"Awwww bograts! These guys are slipperier than a Kelvedin swamp eel!" exclaimed Tarn, who looked to see if Cultist A's hat had fallen off when he was struck down. "With these new, er, old guys being Undead, that gives us a big, almost Dire problem. Tesni, Althior and Ellaria should focus on those whilst myself, Hoke and Alexis should make d sure Cultist B goes down hard. Battle order same as before: Hoke Tesni Tarn Alexis Althior Ellaria I will attack Cultist B from the Front row."
-
I agree Sandy, I am loving the interaction between the three. They are all playing up their characters very well.
-
Winston nods sympathetically. "I understand how awful this is for you, however I am just a concerned citizen. I don't know what I'd do if Amber got hurt like that."
-
"I was so excited when I received my latest artifact yesterday evening that I barely got a wink of sleep. But I hope you aren't insinuating I had anything to do with this awful incident?"
-
"Glad you could all turn up. I've been waiting ages!" Winston said. "I agree that going to the Police Staion to finish off our investigation would be the best thing. And perhaps we can find out more about the vandalism of Officer Hutch's bike and Marcus' assault. It's interesting that a Police Chief has been murdered and then an Officer's motorcycle is vandalised. Does the killer have a beef with the Police?

I forgot to add that I think you are doing a great job with the scenery and story pics. Really nice work there.
