I am already loving Jebediah's Quest. The Gnome looks very much like Rick Moranis with a big bushy beard, good job! And yes, I am finding the fact that the Quests are having some riddles in very good. Combat is OK but it's nice to come up against puzzles too.

Suburbia - Confirmation/Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I just hope Winston's artifacts are still OK after being manhandled! I have been enjoying this, even though I don't think we are doing very well collectively in our investigations. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle
Rumble Strike replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Sorry, I thought you were going ahead with your mix rather than asking an opinion. I don't mind paying 10 gold if we run out of ingredients, so perhaps we should just use up these in the manner we have indicated? Maybe we will get lucky!" Tarn remembered Tesni's mistrust of alchemy, and her determination not to get involved in this quest. Maybe she was right, he mused. On the other hand, if they had Ellaria with them, Tarn knew she'd figure this out in record time. -

Although highly dubious about the whole affair - this was more like mages work than anything he was used to - after William had jumped in with a second attempt, Tarn decided that he may as well finish up the ingredients left and therefore mixed: Mopagian Pale Root - 1 left Waldruk Pine Nettles - 1 left Crushed Chimera Hoof - 1 left -
Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle
Rumble Strike replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"We could become employees for him, but if the guild is as bad at paying as he's making out, we may never get our reward. Regardless, I would rather make that offer than attempt to steal the essence." Tarn said in a low voice. -
I'm sure I speak for everyone taking part that we really appreciate the time the Quest Masters put into the games to allow us to play in their corners of the world.

The bustling streets of Eubric were quite foreign to Tarn, having grown up in a remote monastary in a small mountain village. He looked more ill-at-ease here than he did in the dark caves of the Porthiar burial chambers. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle
Rumble Strike replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I'm happy to go to the apothecary, even though it's the 4th on the list. We've no idea whether Julian did the list in order or not, and as it's closer, it may have been Julian's idea to go there next too." -
You did just threaten him!

During the scuffle Winston bravely shields Amber, much to his daughter's annoyance.

Tarn shook his head at the offer. He politely said thanks to the sharkling and told him that he had been very helpful. At least they knew Julian had made it this far. He whispered to Gibbin. "Seeing as we are at the southern-most point on our map, North doesn't give us much to go on, but if we also see which shop was next on the list that should help." -

Tarn stepped forward, after dismissing the services offered by the sharklin. He felt that the use of poison was a cowardly act. He spoke softly to Gurnam, close to where he approximated the aquatic being's ears would be. If he actually had ears. "If Julian did not buy the 3 vials of Hippocamp Tears, would you be able to sell them to us?" -
I really like your sets WBD, they are adding a lot to the Quest already!

Tarn was happy to let the Rogue, Gibbin do the talking. He already trusted him more than the rookies on this quest. They seemed almost too eager. Their need to impress was palpable. A sudden thought struck him - was he like that around Tesni? -

Tarn nodded his agreement. "It's the most logical place to start to piece this mystery together." -

"I would suggest we take the ingredients list and go to each shop in order, inquiring as to if the shopkeepers have seen Julian. Let's head to the Fish Market -
Prison Riot! Confirmation and Discussion Thread
Rumble Strike replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Genius link to the Portal song, Flitwick. You must've had a smile on your face as you wrote that line -
My investment banking job meant that I had to be in New York a lot of the time. It's where a lot of the banks and capital managers are situated, as you know. At first it made me feel a little like being Charlie Sheen in "Wall Street", but I did end up resenting my time away from my family. I didn't get a chance to see my baby grow, and, as you now know, it put a huge strain on my marriage. At least now I am retired and living here in Lexington I am able to stay with Amber and watch her become the beautiful woman she deserves to be."

I was sooooo tempted to OOC this in the quest thread but anyway, thanks for the 2 gold, WBD!

Tarn was slightly amazed that the heroes hadn't actually asked what Julian looks like. "Dr Mynatt, what does Julian actually look like, and what was he wearing before he went missing?" -
Winston would like to remember why his ex-wife left.

The Underwater Version Contest Winners!
Rumble Strike replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Two well deserved winners! Well done to everyone who took part and for Pep for organising it -
"Trust me, you never know when you'll meet an Undead foe, but the thing is, normal weapons won't harm them. In my last Quest we had some magic users to attack them but this Quest we'll just have to get by with Kyrferath", said Tarn, patting the gem-enfused battle ax by his side.

I must be the only person not liking the minifigures. They seem very generic to me and certainly not the draw of the sets.

"Even though it happened a long time ago, I still find it difficult to talk about, especially with Amber here." Winston replied sadly. "Are we finished tearing up gardens and rummaging through precious artifacts? I would like to go somewhere else now."
