Conversely, these larger pics have me more excited for the theme. The only thing for me is that I don't think it needs as many 4x4 vehicles in it. There is a jeep or buggy alongside some of the bigger sets as well as several rugged vehicles in the mid range. The Raptor set is a pass for me when I can get a small jeep in the least expensive set and a bigger truck thing in the Triceratops set. Standouts for me so far are the small jeep set, Pteranadon Tower, the Triceratops capture and the large HQ. I think with those 4 you'd get a good selection of dinosaurs, vehicles and environments.

Suburbia - Confirmation/Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
For me, due to the different timezones when I can look at the threads, investigations are already ongoing with multiple people asking questions. It's difficult to come up with solid alternate ideas when that happens. I know it happens in Mafias too, when early discussion means it's difficult to add anything new later on. -
Battle order same as before. Hoke Tesni Tarn Alexis Althior Ellaria Tarn staggers back from the hit he took from the Cultist, and then feels a rush as Ellaria heals him. "let's finish this!" he says, determined to get revenge. Tarn will attack Cultist B from the front row
-
That HQ looks superb! Might have to spring for that one too.
-
Battle order: Hoke Tesni Tarn Alexis Althior Ellaria "Glad to see we have our people who can hurt the undead straight on the case this time. I shall attack c Cultist B from the front row. Alexis, choose Hoke's target, Ellaria, try healing the Undead guy again. We can do this!"
-
"let's go right then!" said Tarn, once a couple of his fellow Adventurers had suggested it.
-
I have to admit, I am intrigued to see how Quest#6 plays out with Nur's decision! Great stuff to go against the grain, be interesting to see what happens.
-
OOC: Thanks for the health clarification. For the inventories Tarn should have a Shovel and Ellaria a Pickaxe from the loot discovered by the guard dogs. **************************** Tarn looked around as the voice boomed out. "Well perhaps the House of Porthiar should not have lined a burial chamber with gold. I'm surprised there was any left!" He looked at his companions. "Looks like we are in trouble. Which way do you think we should go?"
-
Tarn is happy for Althior to keep the 10 gold he found using his shovel. Fair is fair. "The gold will never shine as brightly as the light in your eyes", Tarn replies, but Tesni isn't really listening.
-
OOC: QM, can I get a confirmation on Tarn and Tesni's health before you throw us into the deep end once again. I haven't updated my sig yet. Also I have a very bad feeling that all that glistens is not gold. ************** Tarn looks at the others, gold flashing in his hands. "After what happened with Hoke's sword, I'm loathe to even touch this, but it's too tempting to ignore. I wish to give everyone 64 gold pieces, except for Alexis who will get an additional 16 to make up for the lack of loot so far. I hope this is fair on everyone."
-
OOC again, sorry. K-nut, is the shovel you are using the one we found just now or did you buy it previously? If it's yours that you bought, then you can keep the gold.
-
Tarn looked confused as Ellaria and Alexis talked. "By my calculations we went right initially, and found a dead end, where we fought the Undead Nobleman. Then we went back towards where we came, and saw/heard a passageway open up going straight on. But we kept left and came to where we had heard the dogs barking initially. So we need to go back to the passage that opened up, and see what delights await us there." OOC: so are we now following the revised Barbarian health catch-up, which is that a Barbarian regains health equal to their level after a battle? That would put Tarn (previously on 6/10) on 9/10, regaining 3 health as per his level. As a level 8, Tesni would gain 8 more health to add to her 4, meaning she is 12/15.
-
Winston frowned as the letters were read out. "There's no more powerful an emotion that love, and it can lead you down roads you may not wish to travel. So I think perhaps a vengeful lover is a top suspect. Apart from that, we don't have much else to go on."
-
I do agree that fully regenerating health after each fight might be overpowered for a Barbarian, but I would have been happy to at least test the theory in this quest first :P
-
Tarn looked on in anguish as the sword burnt away in Hoke's hand. He was upset because it had been his decision to take the sword and give it to the Knight. He would have to be more careful in the future.

No such amazing deals in Cirencester Tescos, but there was one interesting item. 5560 - Large Pink Box, down to £12.50. Retails for £25.99 according to Brickset, and about £24 on Amazon. So, it was a bargain. Female minifig, some accessories, white horse, green 16 x 16 baseplate... plus two types of pink bricks and a large pink carrying case for it all So, I found that there was no limit I have to pursue a bargain. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Tarn smiled at Tesni as she hefted the new sword. "It looks perfect in your hand", he said. Turning his attention to the cave, it appeared they had reached another dead end. "It seems as though we need to head back to where the wall opened up", he offered.

"Hmmm, this is tricky. I wish there was something that Ellaria could benefit from here, she's been great so far. OK, this is the way I see it: Ancient Longsword of Flame (WP:11) (Suitable for knights and rogues) - As we don't have a Rogue in the party, this goes to our first line of attack, Hoke Ablesworth. Use it wisely my friend. Great Sword of Darkness (WP: 7) (Suitable for knights and barbarians) - As our Knight has a new weapon, it's between myself and Tesni. Tesni, I give this to you. A strong, striking, beautiful woman such as yourself will suit such a blade. I know Cryf has been through a lot with you but this one is a more powerful weapon. Shovel - I will take this for now, in order to give it to our Quest sponsor Eran Hinckwell who wanted one, once we've cleaned out these caves. Pickaxe - Althior, I know you wanted this, but I'd like to give it to Ellaria as she has received no loot from the Quest so far. She can then use it, or sell it in one of the shops in Heroica's fantastically-realised marketplace. Alexis, I know this leaves you short again, I'm sorry. I hope we find more loot which will aid you specifically." OOC: QM, are we using the new Job Traits for Barbarians now, as Sandy has tweaked it to say that Barbarians fully heal on their own after each battle. I know Pep raised that earlier, I would just like confirmation as a fellow Barbarian.
-
I can only echo everyone else and offer my condolences at this sad time.
-
"That dog really went bezerk at the end there, good work putting it down, Alexis." Tarn saw the shovel in the barrel and took it. "The old guy said he wanted a shovel if we found one." He looked in the other barrels for possible items.
-
Five active quests at once, absolutely amazing and testament to the hard work you've put in getting everything established Sandy. Also a great job being done by the new QMs who are adding to the RPG in fine style. Love it

It's my home town so I will be there. I came out of my Dark Age just after the one last year but was fascinated by the aircraft carrier pics.
-
Sorry to hear about your loss cralegoboy. Our party will be fine until you are in a position to QM again. All the best at this difficult time.

Tarn looked pleased with himself as he'd given the guard dog a particularly fierce whack with his pole-axe, but knew they still had work to do to finish the fight. "Listen to Ellaria guys, she's absolutely right as usual. With the Sentinel protection of Hoke we can all attack from the front row. Same as last time for the battle order. I assume everyone is happy with the order? Battle Order Hoke Tesni Tarn Alexis Althior Ellaria I will attack Guard Dog A from the Front Row
