  1. Well, you asked for comments and criticisms. It needs a lot of work. I know little to nothing about Top Gear, but I'm sure that this does not look like the show. I would scrap it and start again. I looked through your flickr, and you are a decent builder, but I don't think LDD is your strong suit. My advice would be to take some reference pictures from the show. And to start from there with real bricks. I'm not trying to be mean, but that is my honest opinion. Good Luck, and browse the forums for some inspiration!
  2. So I finally got around to seeing the movie, and I got to say, the critics are being unfair. First off let's face it, it's nowhere as good as the original or the second and third. But it still is a decent movie. The critics claim that it rips off from the other movies, especially with the whole They also claim in rips off from the other movies, which I didn't really see. I mean, it's like any other movie series, they're after a macguffin, it has ships like the other movies, and the characters are predictable. Just like Star Wars, and Marvel. My two main criticisms with the movie are that it under uses some characters, and that it doesn't have the convoluted "Everyone has an opposing agenda" theme. Everyone is after the macguffin/ Jack Sparrow, and so everyone's agenda is the same. But it's a decent movie, I mean it's good entertainment. And if it was a stand alone movie, I think it would have gotten much better reviews.
  3. Since we're on the topic of the prequels, I feel we should talk about the Clone Wars The movie and series. The Clone Wars really help to show Anakin's descent, while showing off awesome Clone Wars battles. Or is this off topic? I'm not really sure whether the Clone Wars counts under the prequel banner.
  4. There are a couple for me. @Bob De Quatre who builds these awesome space builds, he's been on the front page a couple times and is an awesome mod as well. @Ayrlego For his pirate ships along with @Bregir and a couple other guys from BoBS who I can't remember off the top of my head @Dannylonglegs who along with being a fantastic builder is also a fabulous writer and wrote some of the best stories in AG @Henjin_Quilones Mostly does heroica stuff, but I've also seen him in AG. He hit the front page a few weeks back. These are the people I admire the most on Eurobricks. Check them out!
  5. I'll post a picture of my setup when I get a chance, but I've got to ask something to all you people. How on earth do you survive without labeling your drawers? I've scrolled through about half of this thread, and everyone who has some sort of drawer setup hasn't labeled the drawers. I can barely find anything with labels on my drawers. I have no idea how you guys do it.
  6. Sorry Jotta, but this just sounds like a bad idea. I lose enough parts as is at my workbench. And while I assume Portugal has great outdoors weather for building, Midwest America is either hot, or rainy, in the summer, and bugs are everywhere. And don't even get me started about our winters. Maybe in a State where weather is more permissible it could work, but not where I live.
  7. I think you should do something original, something not Star Wars. Creatively, I think it limits you to just make something you saw in Star Wars. And your options are kinda limited. The Death Star is a ball, I can attest to that having Bricklinked one myself, and No matter what you do, you can't really improve on that. Next, there are 100s of different designs for Star destroyers already, from Venetor class to the First Order. So, I guess you would have a lot of examples. But again, it wouldn't be original. Finally, making Jabba's sail barge could be interesting, but it's not the prettiest vehicle. I mean it's a big brown blob, with sails. So this is my suggestion. Make something original. Join one of the games on Eurobricks, like Brethren of the Brick Seas, if you like pirates, or Andromeda's Gates, if you like space ships. (once it starts back up again) Or, if you feel the need to build Star Wars stuff, there's Stars of Nar Eurbrickia. I'm not the best builder myself, but I pride myself on the fact that everything I build is original. I do draw influences from the media, particularly Star Wars, but I want everything I make to be my own. And it's hard sometimes, a LOT of what I do comes out looking like a box. So, my advice would be to make something you call your own, even if it doesn't look the best. And maybe join a Eurobricks game, Corrington and Kawashita could use your help!
  8. Agreed! This would be awesome to build!
  9. This is absolutely beautiful! The detailing on the ship and the colouring is absolutely fantastic. It's a shame they don't make the parts in the colours for this. My only criticism is the stand is a bit basic. I feel like t takes away from the model some.
  10. Maybe you guys could ban new users from posting in the Star Wars forum. Or even everyone below citizen in there. I know there's not a simple answer, and my idea is a little harsh, but the Star Wars forum is a mess. And for the record, you guys do a great job, but even still you can only prevent bad users from posting in the future. And I honestly think the solution is more preventative measures should be taken.
  11. According to wikipedia: So, maybe they might make another one. Hopefully.
  12. Seconded! I like to use vacation as an excuse to buy some new sets. I'm lucky that my vacations spot usually has some discount sets at Target.
  13. Great Build, I loved the movie and this is a pretty accurate representation. Just to be a pretentious nerd here , but the white Aliens in covenant are called neomorphs.
  14. So I've been feeling down lately about my builds lately. No matter what I do I can't seem to make my builds any better. My pirate ships turn out super blocky, my space ships look like flying boxes. I can't make a lab scene for the life of me. And then I see builders like @Bob De Quatre, @Ayrlego, and @Henjin_Quilones who produce absolutely FANTASTIC builds, (sorry to call you out guys, but all of you are great) And I desperately want to be like them. Maybe it's simple envy, but I really admire their work, and wish I could be even half as good as a builder as any of them. So really what I'm asking is how do I become a better builder? Do I order more parts on bricklink so I don't have to scrounge as much? Do I actually learn how to use LDD? Take more time when I build? Use less parts? Any suggestions are welcome
  15. What's the score now between mardier and eslandola? 1 to 2?
  16. Yay! Danny is back! We all missed you for the AG1 finale. I have so many questions, Is Dr. Long still in the vortex thingy? Are you sticking with Octan? What's going on with Odus Dilberg and the listening device? Are you even continuing the story from AG1?
  17. Nice build! The detailing is great, the front of the locomotive is very realistic. I'm just curious, have you been to the train museum in Duluth? Since you built a Duluth and Missabe locomotive, I was wondering if you drew any inspiration from the area.
  18. Hey, is there any chance we could get the rules for AG2? There was talk of doing territory control, where we'd have to build on planets to maintain control, there's the whole Alien thing.... I honestly can't wait to see what you've whipped up for us Bob, though I hope it's not as complicated as BoBS Anyways, I think it would be fun to strategize a little before AG starts, if you'll let us
  19. Great build Sunder. I always like a good microscale build. Have you considered joining AG2? Kawashita could use a builder like you
  20. Great build Bob! I really like the detailing you did all around, but especially the cylinders towards the back, the liquid neon and hydrogen cylinders. I've got a question, what would you recommend for someone who wants to become as a good a builder as you? I've seen all your great creations, that shuttlebay, that bug thing, and I want to be able to do stuff like you. Any suggestions?

    Starglider

Fantastic build! I really like the SNOT technique you used. This is like the third build I've seen today with the "Nexogons" and all of them are great. I need to get some of these...
  22. Great MOC! I agree with the above statement that it resembles the V wing. If I can offer one suggestion, I think it could use some landing gear, just to round it out.
  23. Wow, this is a great build! I like what you did with the hexagon pieces. Can someone link me to them on bricklink? I think I might add them to my next order.
  24. My Ships Icarus Returning, 5T, relicensing as a 5. Suckerfish, 3T relicensing as a 4. Bad Blood 2WR, relicensing as a 3
