Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I find this entire situation entirely hilarious, because it's entirely the Sea Rats's fault. You guys chose to turn the conflict into a big issue, and then held their ships. NPC nations are a force in this game, not simple playthings. Now MAESTRO, the most successful trading company is here to prop things up in Prio's favour. This is totally something @Maxim I can do. I'd do it if I had the funds. But.... have the stats of Prio ever really been defined? No one is ever really done a build revealing the stats of Prio, so they can still be defined. And it turns out you kicked the Hornet's nest. @Bart we cannot define literally every NPC nation on the Brick Seas. No one has that kind of time, not even me. So, good luck guys. Enjoy being the bane of everyone who in the game who even has a slight grudge against the Sea Rats. -
[COR-AMRCA] Mokolei Expedition
Mesabi replied to Lord Buckethead's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Lord Buckethead, @Bregir, and the ETTC In the Underground City: The ancient city must have been massive once, but now many of the passages had collapsed. The traps almost seemed like a later addition, and the designs on them were not the same as the rest of the city. The guelphian scribbles seemed to be written by explorers who long ago visited the complex. It also seemed an Madrician explorer had once entered the city, but had become trapped there. From what they could find on the walls, the city was from the Ancient Halosian empire, and mined Taconite long ago. When the Mok empire swept north as the Halosian empire fell, the miners moved into the underground structure to escape the Mok, and continued to mine iron for almost 100 years before they stopped. Food must have been brought in to these upper levels in exchange for iron, and it seemed that the city had actually prospered without the Halosian empire's control. Then, something had driven them out. The expedition recovered three major areas of interest on the first level. The first was a library, once filled with hundreds of scrolls. Of the few that remained, there were maps of other underground mines/cities of the ancient Halosian empire, maps of the complex, and what appeared to be a partial history of the Halosian empire. The second was a chapel, dedicated to Hades, and containing an ancient relic. The relic was obviously valuable, and 'blessed' to the members of the expedition who believed that superstitious nonsense. Finally, was a sealed door, leading to the lower part of the complex. The seal was thick, and inscribed with every language of the Halosian and Mok language from ancient times. a quick translation read: 'DO NOT ENTER: CURSEDEATH BEHIND' Expedition options: (Optional) Translate the library's scrolls: The library has a wealth of ancient information that will be useful to the expedition, including locations of other underground cities. (1 build required showing the expedition doing the translations: Will yield useful information) Excavate the Chapel: The Chapel is partially collapsed, but the artifact is mostly unscathed. You may excavate the chapel and extract the artifact. (1 build required showing the excavation: Will yield a BoBS land combat card after the object is appraised.) Crack open the Seal: The Seal is very thick, and is probably trapped on the other side. (1 build required showing the seal being breached: This will have severe consequences, and will keep the expedition in the underground city for at least the next turn. If you take this option, you cannot reach Morghun this turn.) If 'Crack open the Seal' is not taken: To Morghun Afterwards, the expedition regrouped, and marched to Morghun. The journey was uneventful, and they soon found themselves at the city gates. Morghun was a storied city, once a part of the Ancient Merlonic Empire, that had been absorbed by the Ancient Halosians a millennia before their fall. Today, the city was governed by Satrap Angeliki, whose family had governed it for almost 500 years. The city was renowned for their large public bathes, and an ancient monument to Poseidon. Most of the city worshiped Ra or Odin's pantheon however. The expedition weighed their options. Explore the city: (optional) Visit the local Satrap: Satrap Angeliki will require a gift to visit, but he can offer you insight into your journey ahead. (minus 100 Dbs, but learn advice on the coming routes. 1 build required) Visit the local sites: This will significantly improve the morale of your men. (1 build required.) After spending some time in Morghun, the expedition will continue. There are two routes you may take. (1 build required) Through the Midlands Mountains: Steep, and rocky, this mountain range is thought to be the highest in the world. Travel will be difficult, but you will not leave Mokolei territory, and you will not be threatened by any military forces. The map also shows that several of the underground cities are located in the mountains, so there will be an option of reaching them as well. Through the Pyros desert. This route will take you to A'Anbaal, the capital of Tellvok, and then south through the great Pyros desert. The journey will be quicker than the one through the mountains, but you may encounter armed gangs of nomads in the desert. You may also risk relations with the Mokolei, though not significantly. This route will also bring you through the ruins of the Pyros empire. You may only take 1 route The Map has also been updated to reflect new routes you may take: -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@LM71Blackbird, great ships, and I'd love to see more work with real bricks. You're already an expert with LDD, so seeing you handle real bricks makes me hope you'll be able to reproduce those with the real thing. -
Very nice boat @Drunknok, it captures the classic Lego Pirate ship look very well. Your exposition of whaling equipment is a nice touch as well, and very period accurate as well. Keep up the great work!
-
Loving your new Ship @Legostone, this one really knocks it out of the park with the detailing. The oars on the side (or rudders, whatever they're called.) are a great addition, and make the boat very unique on the brick Seas. I honestly think this one is your best one yet. Put it on an AMCRA so it can't be sunk!
-
are we still doing the card numbers, or has that been phased out?
-
@Bregir, and @Drunknok. Must you two continue this incessant argument over pointless things? Bregir, Drunknok is not insulting anyone, he's only causing IC trouble. Drunknok, don't always take yourself so seriously in these. Remember Poe's law. Now, are are their to be BoBS cards rewarded this turn? I'm curious.
-
Thanks for helping clear things up @Drunknok. Yes, Ansa Mesabi is not WTC (Yet! ) But we'll see what happens after she fixes the Dock and reports back to admiral authority.

Hear ye! Hear ye! The KPA seeks submissions!
Mesabi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I've really got to hand it to you guys, you really get the KPA fast after the MCRA is submitted. It's really great and helps keep the game moving. Thank you. -
[ESL A-MRCA] Eslandola mission to Terraversa
Mesabi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great builds @Elostirion and @gedren_y. @Capt Wolf, I might have stretched you a bit thin by having you do 3 for your other AMCRA . @Elostirion, are you joining this adventure? You weren't included on the amcra form, so I'm not sure if this is a one off build.- 29 replies

MRCA Deadline July 2 - and a note about port taxes
Mesabi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Bregir Your Amcra, "On a deserted Island" has more than enough builds to continue. If you'd like to continue it as an AMCRA please fill out the paperwork by friday. @Captain Genaro @Dukesc @Bodi @KotZ Your Amcra "Travels to Terraversa" is one build short of continuing this turn. If you can get one last build done by Friday, and submit the paperwork, we'll get you in this turn. If you need more options or don't think you can accomplish that, please pm myself, @Bregir or @Legostone @Professor Thaum As you've expressed that you are ending your amcra, "The Hunt for the Red Oktober" We'd like to know if you'd like to have an "Adventure Outcome" Like what was done for MKJoshA's adventure, "Uncharted Jungles" @ALL Please let us know either by PM or in this thread. -
Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Or everyone could just be like Corrington, and not close ports or raise taxes. Cool idea though, but there's already so much in the game, It might be to much to add. I am looking forward to land combat rules though, but maybe after those come out (soon?) that could be a cool idea. -
Sistershipping the HMS Wentham
Mesabi replied to Flavius Gratian's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice little build Flavius. Good luck not losing this HMS Wentham. -
You've really pumped the vessels out Wolf, but that hasn't caused any issues with quality. The Teeth pieces are a great differentiation between the other ships. Great work!

Bloody Bill and Bluebeard increase their ship levels
Mesabi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks for doing this Wolf, it really shows the effort you put into the game building for NPCs. Funny story as well. -
Excellent little ship @Drunknok, and a great cross between the two ships. You're improving well on your shipbuilding, and I can't wait to see your future ships.

The Icarus Returning aimed her mighty guns towards the ridiculously decorated fortress. "And what exactly does this prove?" Asked Maria Gray "Da Boom." Said Tony From the Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "kay." Said Maria. Meanwhile, Captain Angles looked Big Hat Barry in the eyes. "We have an armada in the bay, all its guns pointed at your little fortress. I am backed up by a capable fighting force with enough firepower to shred any minifig trying to flee over land into pieces. You have two options now. You either surrender your men, ships and wealth to us, become loyal soldiers of the WTC, and live to tell the tale. If you fail to do so, on my order fire will be opened on you - your walls will crumble and fall, your men will be killed, your ships will be burned. Nothing will remain of this place, none of you will see another day. JOIN US OR DIE!" In the Jungle by North White, on Flickr FIN This concludes our adventure. Thanks for viewing everyone, and thanks to the excellent work of our AMCRA GM squad. Thank you to @Drunknok for his excellent work on the AMCRA, and I hope you all look forward to another WTC AMCRA soon!

[COR-AMRCA] Mokolei Expedition
Mesabi replied to Lord Buckethead's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent Build Lord Buckethead, and great continuation of the story. Glad to see you pick up the project some more, as this was one of the AMCRAs I was most excited for. I can't wait to see Bregir's builds as well. -
Chapter 5: Pieces fall in Place "I'm sorry for the delay" Said Agnes, as the two Namerens stood in her office. Agnes's Office by North White, on Flickr "Right, so... should we introduce ourselves or-" Agnes cut off Captain Luca. Agnes's Office by North White, on Flickr "There will be a time for that, but I need you to go take care of something for us." Agnes's Office by North White, on Flickr "Oh?" Asked Maria "Take Tony and go help take care of the pirate situation. After that business is concluded, we can do introductions." ***************************************************************************************************************** A FEW DAYS LATER ***************************************************************************************************************** Captain Angles and Pvt. Milton walked through the Jungle towards the location that Columbo had given them. In the Jungle by North White, on Flickr "Man, I hate this plan." Said Captain Angles. In the Jungle by North White, on Flickr "An' woy is tha'?" Asked Big Hat Barry, as his men surrounded the two WTC marines. In the Jungle by North White, on Flickr "So yews foun' us. Looksee like we's have to kills yews." Not letting Captain Angles Respond. In the Jungle by North White, on Flickr The WTC Marines emerged from the bushes surrounding the Red Rascals "Because, I don't get to be the one who shells your ridiculously detailed hideout from a distance if you don't surrender now." ***************************************************************************************************************** MEANWHILE ***************************************************************************************************************** Over to @Drunknok!

Before Everyone starts yelling, let me just clarify a few things. As I have not KILLED, only ATTEMPTED to KILL Sinbad, I have not violated the first rule. Consider also: As @MKJoshA has lethally threatened characters of Corrington, I claim the right to lethally threaten characters of his. Additionally, there are built in exceptions for MCRA Results. This is an MCRA Result, as it is titled. Therefore exceptions apply.
-
Glad to hear you're spending time with your family, and Sorry if I came off as rude. I'll continue the story. *************************************************************************************************************** Sinbad didn't respond with the toast. "5,000 Dbs Each for your ships to be released. It's only fair, and I can't let you leave with me being empty handed." He said. Dinner by North White, on Flickr Ansa sipped her wine. "You know, I've always preferred wine from Namere. They always had the best vineyards." She said with a smile. Dinner by North White, on Flickr "But let's get back to business. I have a better idea." "Oh?" Asked Sinbad. Dinner by North White, on Flickr A series of Black Powder charges exploded down the center of the deck, knocking Sinbad's guards into the water. Dinner by North White, on Flickr Ansa knocked the table clear and drew a miniature crossbow. Dinner by North White, on Flickr Before Sinbad could react, she shot a small dart into him. "I just shot you with a dart of Strychnine. Maybe you haven't heard of it. I'll spare the details, but you have about 10 minutes before you go into agonizing seizures that will kill you. There's an antidote on my ship, but that would require, a gesture of goodwill from you Sinbad." Dinner by North White, on Flickr Sinbad drew his pistol. "Are you not people of honour?" He asked, groaning in pain. "No. No Mesabi has ever had a speck of honour." Said Ansa with a smile." So what will it be?" **************************************************************************************************************** Don't mind me, I'm just pouring Gasoline on a fire.

@MKJoshA As this is probably going to take longer than the July 2nd deadline for MCRAs, Our ships will not leave port this MCRA unless something dramatic happens. Considering however, you waited till 5 days before the deadline, and are now giving me radio silence I consider this extremely poor form. I do know Brickworld happened recently, so I am understanding, and I know life can get in the way. However, it takes 30 seconds to say, "Sorry I'm busy, lol" (lol is optional)

Fantastic build @Drunknok, the field is well built, and very clean. And I love the ending.
