Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Isundir replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
My intention is for my current sigfig to join Nocturnus and not a new character yes, I have a story idea on that. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I understand, but to be honest I feel like I belong more in Nocturnus, even back when I joined Avalonia. T'is a silly reason but because I was in a Nocturnus variant in another LEGO Fantasy Role Building Forum like Historica a few years back I somehow felt obligated not to join Nocturnus at the time, looking back on it I know don't know why I felt that way though. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Isundir replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Greetings, Some time ago I travelled to these lands of Historica to join up with the Avalonians, I managed to build a few things but due to my ongoing battle with depression I quickly was rendered inactive on all of Eurobricks, although recently (the start of this year) I managed to pick my bricks back up and found new strength to build. After an itch to build new fantasy themed MOC's again, I developed a new story, continueing the tale of my sigfig now on a dark malicious path. For this I would like to ask if there is any possibility to make a one time switch to Nocturnus. And if understandably not possible, if instead at least I would be allowed to be a part of no faction at all and just freely build and post my stories set in the world of Historica. Due to my struggles I regardless can't promise to be active for any given time, although currently things are more or less on the right track. -

Anyone have any luck making a flail?
Isundir replied to Bingo Little's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
To connect the spiked ball with the chain, If you were willing to cut up a bar piece and use a small fragment from that... the only other thing I can think of is a mechanical claw or tap piece but that'd probably not work. -

I prefer the shaping there a bit more but I like the green leaves here better then the light green there.

The grass field is the best I've ever seen in LEGO, or should I say my personal favorite , the cottage looks really nice. The only thing I'm not sure of are the trees. something feels a bit off, I think it's the leaves standing too upward.

Ah, like this perhaps:

Thanks Do you mean on the outside or inside? I agree the transition of the stone to wooden part isn't great. And my sigfig is Reinhard Sternvale not Aurelio Du'Benessia but I guess that may be kind of confusing if you haven't seen my Task, eh I think it was 1, post.

It looks absolutely fantastic The only thing that stands out for me is the 1x2 'striped" brick, just generally I see this used in Castle builds often in stone work and it always looks completely out of place to me. In my honest opinion if those were Mason bricks instead it would've looked even better. My favorite npu has to be the reddish brown technic wheel piece

Thanks everybody Yeah I tried to think about how the construction would work if it was 'real', I thought to myself what if it starts to rain and the water can't escape but I didn't want to add a wooden roof or anything like that on the top of the tower, that's why I added the little statues, they're essentially like gargoyles so the water comes out of their mouths or what have you. I agree, the green currently consists of 2 layers (hard to see because I covered it all up with grass) and then I was out of green I tried to incorperate a road but couldn't find something I like with the parts I had available... I do feel that I should've added some stones or such at the tower entrance.

As others have already said the use of the doors and projectiles is really neat. I also like all your fig combo's.- 14 replies

Finally posted my first real MOC, feedback is appreciated, if I did anything wrong (with posting, catagorizing or whatever) do let me know. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=139473 -
Edelwald, Chapter 1... or something like that. "Men, look there, we've finally arrived in Edelwald. Lorenzo, were we followed?" "No Mysir, it appears not, although we can't be sure. They may have sent a familiar after us." The ragged group of men approached Edelwald's borders, from the outpost a guard rushed to great them. "Greetings Mysires, what's yer business here, don't mind me saying so but yer do not look like merchants, pilgrims or peasants?" The guard gave the men a distrustful glance. The man who appeared in charge spoke up. "My name is Aurelio Du'Benessia, you are familiar with this name are you not. I have come to visit my brother-in-law, Lord Sternvale. Here's my traveling papers, do make sure all's in order." After hearing that the guards face turned pale, he quickly looked over the travelling papers. "Milord forgive me, all appears in order, welcome to Edelwald." The 'Fallen', a former order of Kaliphlin Knights from an old linage of nobles, their house was brought to ruin and their crest all but faded from Historica. However the most recent heir in the Du'Benessia line, Aurelio, turned the knights order into a relatively infamous and sucessful group of wandering sellswords. On his travels he met, fell in love with and married, Ariadne Sternvale, sister to Reinhard Sternvale, Lord of Edelwald. The Stables The main keep, these military outposts can be found all along Edelwald's borders. The interior, aside from the main watchtower the keep also contains a cell to hold unwanted visitors and sleeping quarters for the guards to rest at. Originally I was going to build a large base with a road and a wooden wall all around the border outpost but I found myself lacking the parts to do this. edit* I forgot to mention but the building style has a bit of Mitgardia in it, which was on purpose due to Edelwald lying next to Mitgardia, hence Edelwalds architecture is a bit of a mix of Avalonia and Mitgardia. As far as the story goes, I'm not a native English speaker and writing stories is already hard in Dutch let alone in English, but I hope you'll enjoy the tales of my sigfig Reinhard Sternvale and his companions anyway. Feedback on the MOC(s) is appreciated, I can't currently improve the picture quality though.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Isundir replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I pledge this, today I will finally finish my build (almost done now, just need to make some terrain to put the buildings on), tomorrow unless my camera breaks (wouldn't su... no I will not hex myself lol) I will take pictures. From that point onward, I will only make small vignettes again... in my 1 and a half year since I started MOC'ing whenever I make a big moc (this is my third time attempting something larger then a vignette) it sits around for months because I have neither time, pieces nor the willpower to finish it and with college about to start I won't have time for big projects anyway. After I'm done with this though I'd like to try and make about 2 vignettes per month, if not at least one (whenever I do small moc's I tend to just finish them in a day and at least that way get something done). Also welcome Laesonar -
Nice figs, however I am not sure if Muskets are allowed? (Last I heard they were not.)

Well the first time I saw your build I said it looks great already, and that is still true, keep up the amazing work Narbilu. I've prepared my cast of characters for GoH, got a better idea of the stories I want to build, but am still having trouble picking my bricks up. Both in the sense of finding time to build, as well as motivation (I don't know how to say this, I want to build, but have a lot of stress. Not from LEGO but from other things.). -

I think it should be "Reinhard Sternvale - Isundir - Task 1" lest I'm mistaken.
