[K-F09] - Taking the Q-9d out for a spin Arium Minor
Isundir replied to gurusql's topic in AG1 Archive
That's a neat droid, can't tell were the dishes are from, I feel a bit mixed about the terrain. On one end I do like what you're trying to do like the angles and depth to it but at the same time it somehow feels very chaotic and incohesive. It's hard for me to say how I would improve upon it or what I would change, the only thing I can think of is to leave out the holes which don't work well in brick form as they just end up as squares and maybe to add more cover to the terrain. edit* Actually I do really like the view from the last shots, and the gaps by the curved/sloped pieces actually look good, my criticism is mainly aimed at the first image. -
Nice work on the vig, the interior looks good and in particular I like the yellow lamp details in between the slopes.

Nice work I can always appreciate an interior and I like the nose of the personal carrier but the top turret at first glance I mistook for a spaceship (that had landed on top)

Everybody thanks so much guys. I totally agree with the elbows being too thin Hawk, definitely a point I want to improve upon (I have an idea for an entirely different and appropriate looking arm joint I'll try out in the future)

Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Land Vehicle The Armored Humanoid Mobile Frame 'Guren', extremely versatile and advanced piece of Kawashita engineering work, capable of among many things deal with Giant Alien wildlife, move around large heavy cargo, fight against hostile corp... I mean pirates and mercenaries. Can be outfitted with whatever tools it requires for any given situation and operated by a human pilot (requires extensive training). The Armored Humanoid Mobile Frame Guren The Guren in Action Pose as promotional material to demonstrate full manoeuvrability. The Guren is outfitted with flight/boost pack capable of very short durations of flight, it's main purpose to ascend or descend across varied landscapes or increase movement speed, not intended for flight however. The Guren sports a very comfy cockpit. That's all folks, suggestions are always welcome, one of my personal goals is to become a pro Mech builder so idea's for improvement are welcome and appreciated

Nice space car, for the art gallery I like the Spinner thing with Atlantis thing as well as the Nexo pyramid things.

Cool, I think I'll use one too for my own hoverbike build, the piece looks like it works really well.

Saw it on Flickr already, don't think I commented there, it's a pretty amazing little drone. Especially given how good it looks for such a small scale.

Great looking lovely house

I don't think I ever said this but I really like your sigfig (Fashion Gates), the vig is very minimalistic but I do like it.

That's fantastic, looks like some kind of trippy hypno alien I think because of the eyes

[MOC] [Steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant

Great, I like this so much more then the Chima one -
I do like Steampunk and I do like this!

These are all really neat, but the greeble engine on the second one is smexy
-
I'm going to guess you used an existing motorcycle for the framework but as I have not a lot of knowledge of LEGO bikes and cars that's just a guess, looks fantastic though.

I was surprised to see only one comment here, then I noticed you just posted it hah :) I really almost just want to copy it and put it on my desk for a while I like it so much, really a shame the fig is so pricey and I have none, in general I'm not willing to overpay too much for anything which may be the only remedy against these so called speculators (never heard of that word before as a non English speaker). edit* oeh you were lucky, everywhere I look she's like four times the original price at minimum, in Euro at least.

Yes, I have to agree with this.

Great job on the Mech, definitely in my opinion improved in comparison to the last one. I've been thinking and given that you don't have enough parts to make a more detailed landscape, have you considered making more detailed 'tiles/patches' instead of a base, I've only seen this done a few times but some builders instead of making a huge base for their build make smaller 'tiles' or little patches of ground if you will to showcase minifigs and vehicles and even buildings in a similar vain to miniature war games were the miniature is on a small base. The best example of what I mean is the CHRONO Fantasy Series by The Brick Time Team or something along those lines, if you can find pictures of it they had this huge display in Germany but instead of a massive display base everything was on small patches of land.
