LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm shocked. No Rebels sets? Will we ever get the Mandalorian ships in black or red (Maul's), Ketsus awesome ship, "the outrider", Malachorplayet? No S3 updated outfits, helmet for Sabine & Rex, Hondo, Pryce, Seventh sister, Maul!? Even if the hovertank would be from Rebels, it would include probably just 2 desired characters. It's even bad strategy, kids will want to have S3 Ezra. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Why are they so repressive? The debates here are a huge promotion for free. Why repress that? I'd understand as long as the "older products" are new on the shelf & should be the focus of costumers. But at this point? I'm really curious what's the strategy behind this move supposed to be? -
Her haircut (not just the colour) has changed too much for that hairpiece. Not that her original hair mold (as cool as it is) ever matched the show appearence Though I don't really care about that - it's Sabine, you can use pretty much every "colourful" & interesting hairpiece for her. For accuracy though the blue "Cyborg" hairpiece, from the latest CMF series should match her show appearence best. & for the latest episode the black version, available in the same CMF series (Emo boy). I would upload pictures of my many Sabine's, but without another medium that's not possible.

Though noone asked: I think the blone Mr. Incredible hairpiece would be the most appropriate for the former Death Watch leader.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
There are simple ways to mod the interior of Arkham : Put some stairs after the entrance door, extend the walkway to which the stairs would lead: voila, you now have an additional floor. On that floor you can put security stuff, a "check in" (which the old Arkham had), safe room for the staff (if the Joker should do his thing) etc. I would also put brown stairpieces on each side, leading to the prison cells, kitchen, gym. Put stuff (similar to the old Arkham) into the floor beneath & Harley could treat her patients, hide her stuff or whatever. Oh & if you make two walls next to the nearest prison cell "loose", the prisoner could escape through his/her cell; the empty space with the conncetion technic piece; to the ground floor in the middle section. I belive I'll buy this set just to mod it -

The former Arkham's design, with it's complexity fit much better into the "modular series". Even the interior had more depth & personality. However I'm happy about the different design: the old one was perfect so they tried out something new. For what it's trying to be (different design with more play value) the set does an excellent job in my opinion. The exterior design is a subjective matter while the interior is less for display & more suitable for younger costumers. I just wish the entrance room wasn't so plain.. -
Yet again another imperial masterpiece. If the force ever pulls me to possess an AT-ST, I'll try to build this instead of buying the recent model for sure.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Probably 80 % of the debate around here is about nitpicking. From a certain point of view you may find some minor differences (not) disturbing, while other's wouldn't even notice. -

Can't remember any wave of any other theme that was so hilarious I never bothered too much about the DC Superhero sets since there were too many "bat" & "fun" vehicles. The figures often lacked detail as well. Now we get so much racial & gender diversion, interessting new molds (til now I count at least 11). Some molds in interesting colours (batcowl in gold!) & tons of detailed printing. To my wallet this will be very unfortunate . If that Arkham Asylum also has good interior.... - -
I guess that's another reason. We'll never know for sure I bet if the designers wouldn't just have used delivered concept arts, but also a bit of research many flaws could have been corrected before the designs were finished. Can't say for sure if this was the case for Kylo Ren's shuttle or many others, but for some sets I bet it was. For example: Rebel combat frigate & the figures. Or pretty much every Rebels figure. Other example: look how poor the interior or the "decoration" on many ground based sets is. Some studs to hold blasters, some meaningless stickers & it's done. Compare the latest ISD's interior with the former version.

Over the last years I got the strong impression that the SW line has very capable designers, who managed to give us both great sets & figures, based on concept arts, but lack deeper knowledge for SW. I know we are not the main target costumers. But Lego is also Lego since it "gives" us AFOL's attention - unlike typical toy brands. Within the Superhero or even the Ninjago line there are so many easter eggs & details which target costumers like us. The responsible designers probably have much more backround information than just "concept arts". Still there are very bad design choices that even the standard costumers will (have) notice(d). Even are not motivated to buy a set including; a Sabine Wren who looks nothing like the "real one", or a Rex who doesn't have his helmet. Why do random wookies get arm printing but important characters like Sabine (wrong colours, plain arms, no helmet), Ahsoka, Ezra (face update, wrong colours), or Rex don't? Even from a profit-orientated standpoint: that does not make any sense

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Now I'm thinking about grabbing Kanan's speeder bike.. Pretty sure it will be molded together - hopefully they updated his face, including the typical Jedi beard. I fear for every Rebels design - nearly every figure or set was wrong in colour/shape etc. Even the Ezras last version still used the wrong colours (dark tan) & didn't receive a new faceprint. For Emmet they gave us multiple facial expressions to collect oO -
[MOC][WIP][LDD] Minifig Scale Rebels Ghost Build
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to IcarusBuilds's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My only critizism is that I will never be able to have such a build as a set. No seriously: I still think the colour's are problematic, since the "real thing's" white, sand green & blue look very dirty. However, there's nothing to do about that other than imitating dirt & the bigger the model gets the less this is a problem I guess. I'd probably change the tan colour on both the airlocks. So are you really gonna bricklink the necessary pieces?! Would be epic! As a huge fan of Rebels & the Ghost in particular; my thanks that we can enjoy this project due to your labours!! -
LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Looks like Ninjago goes a bit more classic. Not so much my thing, so I'll gladly save money. Though I'll be really pissed if they don't release propper dragons for Nya, Kai & Cole before the series retires Except for the brick built heads this dragon looks as bad as the older ones to me. The "new" bounty however should look great to my ghost-wave bounty, though the exposed studs on the backside of the kanu-pieces will probably look odd. -

Just wanna thank you all for spoiling season 3 Please also post pictures of: "...the new commander, after Sato gets killed by Thrawn. I also wonder if we will get an extra mold for one half of Maul's body since Bendu and Kanan ate the other halt. That would be so cool, a half torso." There are different kinds of separatist shuttles. I rather wonder why they took this design anyway, since it is very inpractical with the Ghost's upper turret. Also wonder how good it'll look with so little parts. Though I would just pay $50 for Thrawn -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

This is the right place - so that the companies can see how absurd this censorship is. Besides, there's nothing else we can discuss here anyway. The "legal debate" hast just been reduced to "only post pictures when Lego.com released them, probably 2 months after the pictures got published on many other sites. No seriously, the problem is that there are not enough mediums for Lego. 90 % of TFA's plot plus many other things were accessible to everyone who can use google for 2 minutes (they were even on makingSW, without getting deleted). Leaks about Lego are around the internet too, but they lack a medium for the range to potentiate. So knowledge is limited to the folks how know the right sites & those who get PM's from them. Ever since TFA the autocratic censorship has been a 85 % success. I's not my place to blame EB, you guys probably have to do everything they say. Like brickset, this is a vital place for AFOL's. But if there's a high enough demand for information on future sets, fans will simply create alternative mediums with thread's that fulfull their purpose. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Even another rebel trooper/pilot would have been great, but I don't bother getting another imperial Agent with this awesome helmet mold I even used the helmet for one of my many costume inquisitors. For rebels fans it's rather a screw up that we didn't get an updated Ezra (scar, skin, general colour, name it). I also think - like the Gonzati cruiser from last year - the set is nice for people who prefer "unaesthetic" freighter like ship's that appeared quite often in the background. a few hints: You can easily modify the interior & increase it a lot, if you want. & if you want it to be more screen accurate, the fron canons can also be modified very easy. I tried to upload pictures of my mod, but unfortunately I don't have any medium for the pictures yet. On topic: Aren't there any other RO review's out? I just saw the T-Striker review. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It wasn't spotted with the other prelim pictures. Could be exclusive, could be a seperate release, like BoT. Meeh. I still think the first Maul face is the best. All other versions had oversized eyes. & the face pain in general with the horn piece makes his facial features look broad instead of slender. A special molded head would be interesting for Maul. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So to me it becomes clear that Yoda's ship will probably be a bit oversized, but therefore at least detailed (something TLG usually delivers with SW). A missed opportunity, since the size is what makes Yoda's Interceptor unique. I still don't get how this one could cost as much as the previous two, "normal length" Interceptors... About the uncertainty around here: Some people look closer for details. For some an interceptor & a JSF are not that different, while other's don't care if the imperial troopers get their orders by their Lego crewman (light grey, different uniform), or their Lego imperial officer. So if one says the sets look all the same - that may be true, froma certain point of view. -
I rather thought the last pirate wave was supposed to be "classic". Except for some new parts & little improvement for figs there was just nothing creative about it. As a child I would have also wanted something more intense & creative. The Possibilities are endless: Mermaids, seamonsters, treasure islands, exotic islands... & What did they design? Red themed pirates vs. blue themed soldiers. The forts were were smaller than the ones from the last waves. Figs were just slightly better compared to the ones before. Wow. I also liked the mid-sized ship's, they were a good compromise to the small boats & the $100+ sets. If you look at the price per part ratio, amount of figures, new molds or the creativity from the Ninjago line, the latest Castle & Pirates themes were just horrible. Another thought: a pirate wave could profit from "normal skin" figures & therefore more diversity with the skin colours.

[MOC] Coruscant speeder (with instructions)
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to hachiroku's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Exept for the windows I think it's accurate. Checked out ur channel - probably the best Akira MOC I also love the Enterprise.. Hope I can at least build one of them.. -
Now that's an interessting question - though the many difficulties can be read above. I think the last Rebels A-Wing, Y-Wing & X-Wings were pretty close. Not including TFA X-Wing's since the one from the movie was actually pretty "small" & the Lego set was more of an upgradet EP IV X-Wing. - the last EP IV Escape pod - some of the Jedi Star Fighters - some speeders, for example the last Landspeeder - the RO AT-ST - UCS Slave I I guess if you are not that strict you could use most 1-2 pilot crafts + many of the small & mid sized ground vehicles.
