Though you'd have the same problem as with Mace Windu, Qui Gon & others: the tan colour is barly visible since most of it is covered by pants & boots. Imagine them doing that with the last Windu figure - than it would have looked like he wore white boots.

I possess the old figure & still think it's a great figure (certainly the best at that time). Just the helmet bothers me, though the face was of an underwhelming design either. - Unfortunately I don't know any face print or piece for her napkin, especially in that purple colour. - painting a purple napkin over another female's mouth shouldn't be that hard to do. - the closest thing that comes near to her helmet could be a silver/crome Samurai helmet. But that would be too bulcy I think. - costume purple cloth pieces for her legs & neck improved my figure. Does anyone of you possess the latest Ben Kenobi figure? The one with the horrible pants. I just put dark brown legs onto the figure, since I couldn't stand the look otherwise. Any tips on how to improve?

Yeah, but why do they not sell well? Because Lego does a horrible job at the sets. Every kid will be extremely underwhelmed by the sets. The main protagonist didn't get an update for S2 (!) & the S3 appearence won't be released until that summer - if it ever will be released. At that time we'll already have seen the outfits & trailer for S4. The clone didn't get their helmets, as did the latest Sabine. Sry for being offtopic with this rant, but the SW strategy - especially with Rebels sets - is sometimes so horrible, it almost seems intentional. Sabine's "sister's" ship, Hondo, Lando, young Leia, Inquisitors, Mandalorians, Maul - there would have been plenty of great material. But instead we got the same pilot figure 4 times, as several other figures that are far less attractive to kids than the mentioned one would be.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I rather recommend using the kitchen part for that purpose. The walkways are very thin. I will put some stairs right after the main entrance, that'll lead up to a second floor connected to the walkways. Unter that floor there should be plenty of space for other stuff. So far there are 3 headpieces which means 6 expressions for Batman. Now I'm trying to plan how to get the head with the "neutral" look - because of the eyes that would look great on the Dark Knight Batman. -

Can you post a link? I see several reviews, but certainly not of the Scuttler. -

I have a theory why Twoface's hair looks so odd. Since he's a Lego figure & made out of plastic instead of flesh - giving his plastic hair a "melted" look, seems like the kind of "Lego humor" we got to see plenty of in TLM or the Lego SW series. Review of Arkham: http://www.hispabrickmagazine.com/en/content/lego®-batman-movie-review-70912-arkham-asylum Is a review of the scuttler out yet? Shame I can't find one, since you can't quite tell features & shapes from the pictures as well as you can with the other sets. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Before the outbreak starts, I compared this wave with the winter waves of the last years: - Yoda's SF contains MORE pieces than those of Obi Wan & Anakin. So you get the same amount of figures & more parts for the same price. - It contains just 10-20 pieces less than the Desert skiff & the Phantom II, which cost 5-10 bucks more. Especially in European countries this makes a difference ($40-45 instead of $30). - Other than the latter two sets & the Landsspeeder, the prices stay the same. - The Landspeeder hasn't even 150 parts but costs $ 25 in the US & $30 in Germany. However you get 4 figures - but this is still one of the worst ppp/ratio I can remember. -

I was wrong about Thrawn after all. I wonder if the pictures I saw included a figure with wrong printing. Now I think the eyes are done incredibly well. - Kanan will have an alternative face with his smile (captured pretty well). - Another picture shows the new Boba Fett with yet another "angry clone" face. - anyway, it seems that we got rid of the sand blue colours. -

Interesting that they rehash these sets after such a short time but give us just one Rebels set in this wave. - Landspeeder seems to be 90 % the same build. Except for the latest X-Wing, Lego hasn't done that for quite some time. - the curved dark red markings are a small but in effect huge improvement. - Great set for getting figures & the desired vessel so cheap, though they still reuse the horrible Obi Wan figure. - the front of the Desert skiff looks so much better. Otherwise it's a bit messy. - they really gave us an EPVI Boba Fett. From what I can see even the helmet looks like it got a new print. - & they went all the way with the A-Wing. Just a shame that they reused the same colour scheme. - finally decent guns -

If I ever get my handy on a cheap batcave, I'd move the prison to the now unused under the computer section. Than you would actually have space for "batgear" - this bothers me most about the batcaves. Why include a prison, where villains can spy on every secret, but nothing for Batmans many gadgets? -
Wow, thanks - I was looking for shape accurate mocs for some time now. Seems like I didn't look long enough. I wonder if the ship is popular/iconic enough, so that we may one day see an UCS version of it.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

It's not a mistake, Thrawn will NOT have red eyes. Can't quite tell if they are clear or even a bit blue or green. But they will not be red. I suggest opening a thread or move this to the "minifig update" thread, since many will be interested (including myself) to bash Lego for this & in DIY solutions - should be easy, since the original Thrawn never had pupils anyway. -
Thanks for the comparison with the other "related" crafts. If you look at "the real thing" though, It comes to my attention that - unlike Tydirium or Krennic's shuttle, which pretty much resemble the shapes of the "real ships" - Kylo Ren's transporter does not.The cockpit was way more flat. I would love to see a complete MOC of the craft, not just a colour change at some point.

There are picures of the backside of some boxes. Don't know if it's ok to post them. - Thrawn definitely does NOT have red eyes. - Even on his alternative facial expression - which is a standard angry scream. I'm gonna spare a comment on how the designers came to the conclusion Thrawn needs such an expression. - He has a bit of gold printing "on" his shoulders. - The Phantom has decent space, accessible from a ramp at the back. Depending on how far it will go in, you could squeze in 1-2 figures. - no interessting features visible on the other sets, that weren't visible anyway, except for the already reviewed RO sets. -

The Catwoman cycle chase is just perfect. The bike contains many interesting new/rare pieces, the "diamond shop" is also a very nice edition (which one can put in his or her city, unlike many other useless part bumper builds). A year ago we were happy to get one figure with such details in a cheap set. This time there are three - Batgirl & Robin are probably among the top 5 most detailed figures. Btw: Robin in the movie will be a guy. But the for me the figure is definately Clark Kelly. The diversion in the sets is above & beyond. There have never been so many females or darker skin tones. I really wonder if this is a strategic move by Lego or if they just use the creative freedom they have now - which they haven't when producing products based of a movie run by white guys. -

Yesterday - the rest of the creator sets. Today Junior sets. Besides to SW I think just the Elves & Marvel pictures haven't been revealed yet. Just wanna look at the Thrawn figure With TLG's lacking love for Rebels it's 50:50 that Thrawn could be a horrible figure or not... -
Fake. No number & the wrong logo. But what does it matter - I bought me quite a few non Lego brick sets (Kre-O). Though all other brick brands make you appreciate the high quality & reliability of Lego products, other brands can be 5 times cheaper & normaly include interesting new pieces/molds. The klingon heads serve well as orc heads with helmets, the shotguns look great in the hands of clone troopers. & not to speak of coats, silver or hairpieces..

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I didn't talked about putting a popular figure from a $ 100 set into a $ 10 set. I talked about putting S2 or S3 Ezra - both never released, probably won't be released next year, protagonist of a popular kids show in a set, instead of an "AT-DP driver". Sure as a collector, I love to get 10 different Tie Pilots. But from a strategic standpoint of a toy company, that's a very odd choice. As with Sabine, they could have included her in a cheap set & with the helmet + arm printing in an expensive set. All we got was Sabine without helmet & without armprinting in a $ 100 set. -
If these count: - back in the "old days" of SW I remember they sometimes even wrote about features in the descriptions that just didn't exist. Which was just a mean trick Like teasing the Rancor in the old Jabba's palace. & since there were just catalouges for information back then, with a kids imagination I looked into the empty box after the palace was done but no Rancor in sight They pulled this trick on many sets, as far as I remember - especially with not included minifigures (in some set they teased an army I think & then you just got a few figures). - Since Lego puts much more effort into sturdiness nowdays, I am very often surprised of how little (storage) space is available. Space that could be used serves the structure or has nothing going on at all. - ... which was the case with the latest Rebel combat frigatte. The complete back half of the ship is covered, but could have (in my mod does) includ(ed) a hyperdrive, storage room, a walkway + door. - The latest DS had so little features visible, I thought there just gotta be more functions (like the akward big round black thing that just held 2 blasters for stormies).

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Same thing with the others. Until now we only got 2 "individual characters" with the microfighters - Han & Hera Syndulla (who is also the only female..). I don't get that, since kids couldn't care less about the dozends of different grey, white, black, different markings, pilots, officers etc. I'm sure a S2 or S3 updated Ezra/Sabine would have been much more popular (Blockade Runner, A-Wing, painted Tie?). As for now, the microfighters rather seem to target collectors. Again, I don't understand the SW set policy. Though it still makes sence since the imperials who pilot such transporters (Imperial shuttle) look very much like the "black officers". Jyn Erso will be in the ground set & not in the Y-Wing set. I have no idea who the black figure is - hopefully it was a placeholder for Saw Guerrera (which is unlikely since the placeholder doesn't indicate his outfit & robotic legs. -

That's why I wrote it the way I wrote. We may already have the helmet or we just bricklink it. But a child that started collect Lego 2 years ago may not. Sry 4 being so offtopic Arm printing itself may even not be that important for kids. I rather think it's important that the character is recognizable & at least similar to the "real one". In the case of Rex or Sabine that wasn't the case I think. But more of this would also serve better in a different thread. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

As far as I know Rebels pays off for Disney & even grows in its popularity. My biggest concern would be that Disney somehow wants yet another show for a different timeline (pre TFA) but not to sponsor both shows. However, they investet so much into Rebelsso there should be 5 seasons to make it worth. I consider the show to be the best thing in the SW Universe - next to the OT (though the S2 Finale was an uncatchable masterpiece). I expected Ezra to be annoying but he has a surprising complex character. His also complex relationshop with Kanan is what the Anakin/Obi Wan relationshop never was (EP II felt like they already hate each other, there was no love at all). & Lego does invest into Rebels. They are just doing a bad job: Giving random Wookies arm printing but not Sabine, no helmet for Rex in a 100+ set (would have really pissed me of as a child), no updated figures etc. -

There will not be a new mold for a microfighter. They'll just reuse the U-Wing pilot & probably the Y-Wing pilot. Hopefully with at least a different facial expression.. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
My historical & GoT builds/figures are recruted from LotR, Ninjago & CMF. I prefere these designs to yet another bad line of "classic castle" sets with very childish builds, little details for printing & almost no creativity. The figures from a new theme would have to be very detailed & creative to compete with those of the CMF line. Just think about the "green knight": Dual molded legs with printing (if Aragorn would ever have gotten such a coat?), arm printing, back printing, a new mace mold, dark metal mini short staff piece... -
[MOD] Wing and landing gear for Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Master Chief's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To be honest I didn't like any of these otherwise very creative ideas, since the techniques always meant putting pieces off that were critical to me for the ship's look (like the 6x4 "cockpit" plates at the bottom on each side). I came up with a very simple way that is just a bit less stable, doesn't need special parts (like 8 of the huge clip pieces) or visible modifications and it can transform into 3 positions (that are stable, as long as you don't turn the ship upside down ; ). The only disadvantaves: - the transformation process takes about 20-30 seconds - once folded out the wings are a bit low - this could be fixed by putting studs off from the underside of each wingside (wings & structure), as many did.
