LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Found all sets in a small store in Austria - when I went out with Lloyd's dragon, some shy people were asking me where I got it from (with a glimpse like I just stole their heroin ). Have to say I'm super critical about builds - but after a few minor colour swaps, this is the best Lego set I have ever purchased Ninjago really is such a precious theme. -

I didn't like it at first and just bought it because it was on sale and I wanted to get the Nya fig. Only when I started building it I realized what an incredible set it is: over 1.000 pieces! With Star Wars we'd have gotten 2 walls and 4 repetitve figs. The forge is gorgeous and the dragon can easily be modified to only have one head. There's so much creativity and love for Ninjago in this set! I could go on and on btw: reviews of most sets are online -

Come on, this thread is dead anyway, compared 2 SW or TLBM Some videos about the sets are already up. Temple uses very simple techniques, has a slim interior, but stil looks amazing. 1450 pieces for 100 bucks.. how could we resist?! -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
the info about figures in the Kylo Ren ship has to be wrong now - The set includes: Kylo Ren, evil droid, Stormie, special pilot - could be it, maybe one more fig (I guess Luke cause in what other set should he come?!) - smaller FO walker: Hux, the guy with the horrible printing and a Rebel soldier - maybe another figure, like Phasma or the walker pilot - the smallest set comes with Finn, BB8 and probably Rose - the one in the top right corner could be Phasma with the same set number - BB8 set comes with: BB8! Furthermore I believe there's another bar of 2-3 figures we can't see. I can believe that we won't get a new Phasma or knight or Ren - but for sure we'll get a Luke figure! Tough maybe we'll have to wait for EPIX -
Wouldn't work, her Rebels incarnation is the kind of dark orange which most ressistance pilots flight suits use, while CW Ahsoka has the normal orange, just like the Rebel Alliance pyjamas. Pretty odd, since Hera's pants consist of a much darker orange than Ashoka's skin, while Hera's Lego figure has the normal bright orange pants.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I got the info from a video which was taken down a bit later. If PP would have taken it down himself I'd suspect the rumors were wrong - maybe a complain by TLG was the reason, I don't know the selection would be very very sweet anyway... -
There's no evidence for it - possibly... They could have made the Ninjago CMF's Sushi cook-legs for Thrawn. It's the 5th time we'll get white pants + black boots, but the first time without any annoying printing. To me, feels like "sorry couldn't do it in the SW line, but here you go".

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does anyone here know if the Spider-Man and Thor II sets will release in Europe/Germany? I didn't found them anywhere till now. Since I never found the Batman desert set and the Dr. Strange set last year in any store, I fear for the worst...- 5,808 replies

If you could paint a bit dark lipstick on the mouth, it wouldn't be bad, but I could also get used to how it is now. To increase my female figures (currently my Rebel Army consists of 65% femals, to contrast the Imperials) and to make the faces more diverse I also did use male heads a a lot.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Still talking about the Falcon..? Why doesn't it get it's own thread anyway. I've read that Kylo's shuttle will contain Kylo without any helmet, pilot with red markings, officer, Luke, Rose and Phasma with updated printing and a spear. Don't know if this is legit though, since the minifigure selection would be way better than in any of the other sets. -
Kind of odd that the last Asogian didn't win anything - it had such a phenomenal story and dialouges. But with so many great entries I guess everyone would have deserved a Millennium Falcon

That alien writing? Nobody within the SW galaxy knows what it means I have him wear it when he chills out with Zeb . On missions however, he gets more serious pants. Glad to see that! Though I could costumize 10 different versions of Sabine with parts connected to her torso. I wonder how she'll look with the "Ninjago CMF's freetime Garmadon arms".

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Nope, Snoke is a half eaten chocolate bar, which the Emperor had in his robe-pockets, when Vader tossed him down the reactor (so now it's also half melted and contains Sidious knowledge). - and it contains both dark AND light chocolate. Have a Snoker's bar! Sry 4 off topic - Does anyone know if Kylo Ren will also get a (new) mask/helmet? -
Exactly my thought! - "Now I don't have to get 2 of them" Great to get another chance for boot Thrawn! Now I just need dark tan pants with black boots... Rebels updated: I didn't make the figures more accurate, just wanted to make them a bit more detailed (and Zeb bigger): may've posted this one be4..
-
Though not accurate the build is really nice, but I can't understand why Lego didn't cover the bottom. I covered it, removed the bomb feature and now the "backpart" is almost completely accessible. My goal wasn't to make this more accurate to the Milano, which is an impossible task at this size. So I just put the engine where I though it would look good, instead of forcing the 30 engines of the Milano into it Not easy to take good pictures of the interior. I'd say this is some kind of "engine room". I reduced the seats to 3, since such a small ship doesn't really need 4 (the others can chill in the back).

I love the Ghost from the show Rebels, but was very unsatisfied with Lego's version. Recreating this ship with under 1500 parts isn't really easy though. My mod is a bit of a compromise - I took out all tan or sand green colours. The actual ship even contains sand blue colours, but in Lego form they just don't look messy enough - biggest change: I covered the back, which is more accurate I think than what we actually got (paired with the Phantom I the back becomes waaaay too tall. The most horrible thing about the original was the messy, uncovered bottom. I tried to cover it up as good as possible. I don't think these pictures show how much grey pieces I had to change into white
-
Update II: I've modified the "wing" a bit and I also rounded up the middle grey section a bit.

There's still a week to go - so depending on how many people this reaches it's quite open. But for now I would bet on #2 or #4 to win 1st & 2nd place.

- running sushi (which works!) - so many recolored (rare) pieces! - a SCARF PIECE!!!! I hope someone creates some asian style town part with this, temple of Airjitzu, and other fitting sets Just awesome to get a more exotic modular build! -
I came close voting for this, so I wanna show my respect here: great someone here read the new novel too. I think it show's a quite different Thrawn, which you have captured very well. I also love to get another (likeable) random imperial.
-
I would bet you win one of the prices with this.

I vote for #2 and #5 This is an amazing contest. It wasn't easy to choose, but in the end I have a good feeling with #2 & #5 since I most considered creativity. But really every entry had something great to it. MKJoshA Will this be posted elsewhere, to receive a higher turnout?

It's actually a shame since I have more pictures with more details and better angles, but I wanted to focus on the essential and cut everything else. Now you can't even see the lake, ships, training area or the civilian life . Once it is allowed, I'll post the other pictures as well! Thanks! I just had to do it

Several imperial outposts in a world far, far away are getting ambushed by Rebel forces! The officer in command has asked for Grand Admiral Thrawn's assistance, since she was not able to detain the Rebel scum from stealing valuable artifacts, wich the Emperor personally ordered to be secured. Captain: Grand Admiral, how can you be so patient? It's just a matter of time until the insurgents somehow slip through our controls and steal another relict! ISB agent enters the room and hands something to Thrawn. Agent: Sir, here is the item you’ve ordered. Thrawn: Ah, thank you Agent Skylor. Curious.. Captain, I trust you are familiar with the population and their culture. Tell me, what do you think this is? Captain: This toy..? This... playcard? It appears to be a ninja card. Ninja are a cult, similar to the Jedi. The card is green, so it could represent the ninja leader - what was his name? Lloyd? But the ninja are just a myth. Legends for the locals. Thrawn: Oh, I assure you the Ninja are as real as we are Captain. The ninja Lloyd's main colour is indeed green, however this particular card’s green is too faint and stands for none other than colleague Cole – in his Ghost form. Captain: I still can’t see the significance of this toy for our problem? Thrawn: My agents reports state this specific card is quite popular within the rebellious regions. And here the significance of this card becomes obvious: Separately the popularity and the particular attack patterns of the Rebels mean nothing, but if put together they make one thing clear to me: The Rebels are lead by none other than our ninja Cole, who possesses cloaking abilities in his current form which – enable him to sneak behind our distracted troops and steal the Emperors artifacts. Captain: So that’s how they were never noticed! Thrawn: This card furthermore indicates that our ninja has mastered the ability of “Airjitzu”. Captain: Airjitzu?! Thrawn: It’s an ability much like the Jedi’s physical enhancements. It makes our conventional tactics useless, since our troopers cannot attack what they can't see. Captain, I want you to store the following artifacts at the highest points in each city. It should be enough of a bait for the Rebels to lour them out. As for the cloacking.. ISB Agent: I will immediately dispatch scout troopers with infrared vision to watch the locations! Good captain.. and don’t forget: never underestimate a Ninja. Meanwhile the Rebels prepare for a diversion in one of the cities... One of them throw's a termal detonator! Scout trooper: Sir, we have spotted the target! He's heading to the tower. Thrawn: Fire when ready - but try not to kill him, I want the leader alive. THE END Note #1: I hope this is somewhat understandable for people who don't follow Ninjago. If you have questions, I'' gladly explain. Originally I used all Ninja's and let Thrawn take them out one by one. But that was just too looong Note #2: Since I ran out of pieces - especially plates - I had to improvise a bit to get enough space for my scenario. If that makes it better you can also just count the "middle section", as visible in the following picture as my 2nd MOC. Anyway, I just hope I didn't bent the rules too much since mine would be the 10th entry.
