Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
ninjago - since a few years - apparently is sometimes very available and sometimes almost not. Like hairpieces and bandanas we get this year. Some torsos - but no legs. But yeah, this is the worst wave in terms of getting pieces seperately. -

I think the Lego is the worst company of all time because they never made Dogu, Bida and Godzilla as figures. Also, there never was a "Padmes childbirth-death (due to love) set with the "buba-opa" droid. Those characters were essential to the story and every Lego emplee proves that they hate the fans by not making a "younglings against Anakin" battlepack. [do not promote knock-off brands] -

feels weird - in Germany, sets come out in a few days but there still aren't many (propper) reviews online. I would actually like to build the Bounty and water + fire dragon (to complete my Nya collection ; ) without knowing everything already from online pictures/videos. -

I would like to agree but actually: DC CMF's and some others - like those made of TLG movie properties were super weird (Batman, Lego Movie, Ninjago movie). I think CMF's about these shows also give Lego the chance to avoid clashing with the normal sets themselves (like I think they do with Harry Potter - why would I purchase any set with those horrible figures, when we get decent ones in the CMF line). I find even the idea of an Obi Wan or Andor show ridiculous (not saying it cannt be well executed). -

I get that its 450 parts - but sad anyway that recent promos are no longer for free. They did also some bigger sets with minifigure prints I think for free. I think Lloyd doesnt work; especially without all gold parts. Like the Thanos gauntlet - looks horrible when looking at all that dark tan and nougat. Nya and first bourne I think look great (I mean how much better can a huge dragon be as a chibi-boxhead?". I wonder though if Nyas scabard/armor piece is somehow done as well. -

Like the simple use of a Katana - this would make sense. But again; Lego has weird rules concerning these things. I like to remind people that many figures - among them Obi Wan; still use the oldest hairpiece instead of the 15 better alternatives (of which a few are already produced in the right colour). -

If it's stable Im also fine. Just I have bad experience with any kind of rubber Lego. So I prefer the standard plastic. And as you say; extra belt pieces would have been welcome ;) the Batman-ones have the issue that one usually cant put most neck pieces anymore (like armor, jetpack, quiver) due to the beltpiece. I hoped for a piece without anything "behind". But no complaint - if it's stable and also holds the katana, Im fine. I just wonder why they even did a piece like this. A neck attatchement would have been stable enough already I think. Anyway.. As there are still no reviews of the Bounty out: I think the cargo boxes must store under the cockpit somehow, next to the pods. Because there's just no other space. I will try to remove the whole mechanism and put some kind of sleeping quarter under the cockpit (though likely it's to tight. -

Where can you see those pictures? I was looking at this persons IG but didnt see closer pictures. About scuba gear: I feared so. Both belt and tubes seemed to look like the same rubber material - and also they don't have to do extra molds. Sad though; I think it could have been much more useful if the belt for example would have had just a connection with the tank. Also I never saw a rubber piece that can contain a Katana too well. -

We don't know both official and inofficial rules within Lego as well as how it works when they have to go through the owner of the licence (which designers have stated many times, they have to, for random things like changing colour from dark blue to light blue because they think it fits better). the end product at least looks often weird. In this case I wouldnt be surprised if we just get again a black bar. But as the darksaber is much more significant now; I would certainly hope they take some effort, allthough SW was never too good with specialized pieces for weapons. Worst case: you can just take a silver or black Katana from ninjago - paint hilt or blade and they look not too bad. On another note: next months SW magazine comes with the rise of Skywalker Ray figure + BB8. -

I think there's little trust to make Nya focussed sets (unfortunately). Though in this instance there'd maybe a Kai cycle as well. I think with Samurai X mech there might be a chance due to its uniqueness. And I do think her current focus sets also have something more unique to them which makes TLG trust these more (it's like the coolest figure ever for Nya here). As for elemental dragons; I also think they fall under "too weird"/abstract. They'd rather do the old elemental dragons for anyone I guess. Lloyd and Kai are already served. As for the Sky pirates: I'd love some sets based on the villains; who knows if we could get a flying boat again as ninjago likes their boats. -

You are right! You are right! And: you are right! All of the Lego fandom was seeing this piece and only looking out for recolours and then saying: we finally got our Maul light saber hilt! ...but we talk about TLG. Im not saying they are bad or whatever but just: there are always weird choices about these kind of parts. It's like asking the question why they still use the oldest hairpieces for Kenobi's, Luke etc. - when there are like 15 more fitting pieces on the market, some already in the right colour. So to me and you it seems logic but for some reason there seems to be some rules applied to changing something about designs of one licence. -

That would be so great. I never caught the old CW Ashoka figures myself. And I am still not satisfied with the Shaak Ti piece for Rebels. And that's a perfect Maul. I might just buy the 4th SW set in years (old Luke hut, Mando speeder + Razor Crest) I doubt. But those pieces are easy to get though. -
Hey - I've read the comments here and I find it just sweet how anyone is having a nice conversation and giving information about themselves, how nice they write what wording they feel more comfortable with and so on. You don't have to agree with it but if you comment here your opinion, people will comment theirs. It's called a conversation and I am glad you are part of it. And we can talk about capitalism, the background for such sets and many other things. But I think this is the most beautiful way to make such a set. It's inviting anyone - though of course I know some will feel uncomfortable with it. Can you imagine how a gay person feels if we always just see sets about a bride+groom? Now I didn't say that such sets cannt be done anymore or are offensive. But how could it hurt you if - for a change - Lego did a set of two women marrying? You wouldn't need to buy it, you wouldn't need to look at it. It would simply exist amongst many conventional sets. It would simply be a depiction of two minifigures in love with each other. And as others have mentioned: we already have gay characters and figures depicting gay actors and actresses. We already have feminist theory in the ninjago TV show (Nya), Rebels vs. Empire, Marvel's Avengers aka products of movies (like them or not) financed partly by the pentagon. As I said - it's always been political.

Garmadon: good guy in many seasons snake: "good" in later seasons nindroids - depending on program (white nindroids are good for example) stone warriors - depending on if Dareth has the helmet Phytor: helps heroes in S4 elemental masters in s4 were treated a bit like villains but are allies in s4 and later Morro: redeems himself and helps out in DotD sky pirates: help out in the last episodes and are mostly pretty nice fellas Zane: not really villain as ice emperor Unagami: redeems himself master of mountains: the goblins and mirks or murks or whatever were never villains in the first place. Even spiders are "good guys" in the end. + keepers. Also I think for the last/current season they planned on doing more with the villains. Like explanations for the water snakes or a purpose for the Benthomar character. Maybe that he would have convinced the snake warriors to go against the main bad guy. I would also mention that Nardakhaan may be a dick but he had really good intentions for what he was doing. Except for the last episode, you could almost say he was a good guy with questionable means for a different side. Most villains weren't purely "bad" I think or at least cartoony. irredemable villains I would only say are: Overlord, Oni, Kalmaar. -
Psst - I tell you a secret: everything is political. Always. As people mentioned: Indy or Harry Potter sets were political - Marvel sets are highly political. Even Star Wars with all it's Empire/Nazi aestetic, against the Rebels is political. Ewoks are political. All of these things are big topics. But having a rainbow set can simply be about having a cool looking set with cool pieces. I bought the women of NASA set mainly because I thought it was a really cool set. And if people of any age and origin or orientation feel strengthened in their confidence - then what's the problem with that? So according to your arguments no Marvel sets should be sold ever because some people in some countries have issues with Marvels slightly propagandistic content?

Prime empire: Scott or what the name of the dude with cap/hood combo was. As I wrote in the comment above yours: 2012 we got a crazy amount of molds! For almost any snake there was a unique headpiece or attatchement. I think it's even unnecessary to produce that many molds. But it would be cool anyway to get a larger amount of different face prints and hairpieces. For the SoG or the dragon hunters there was so much diversity in the show. And the actual (less diverse) figures were still quite divers, compared to the two current waves. -

I procrastinated again by working on the statistic of new molds for each ninjago season: 2012 they brought out 28(!) new molds. Some pieces we still use now (katana, the 2 mech blades, "new" Samurai helmet) and some I didn't even think are based on ninjago (several claw pieces or so). Interestingly they brought out a lot of snake-accessory pieces, that I always thought belonged to "pharaoes quest" - but they only appeared in ninjago. -

I don't know how many of you people are working in companies. It's easy to say from the outside "They are doing this soo bad!!". Yes, sometimes the result is not satisfying for some group but even if we are egocentrical enough here: do you know the inner workings of this company? If I could guess, I would say figures like Dondanna are a gift to hardcore SW fans because I cannot imagine any kids or cooperate hags wanting wasting ressources for such some old background character. This is also just my unfounded interpretation but I think this was just a gift unlike weird inclusions in let's say a Candina - because this is made for hardcore fans who want specific background characters. An explanation for weird molds (monkey henchmen from Solo movie) would be that they have a certain (big) budget for new SW movies - and if they don't know really what to do and what will be important in the movie, they just throw ressources out, where they can. So we get useless monkey head molds, never to be seen again - like knights of Ren - but we don't get Mando helmet, because there was no budget plan for this. So how can adult people here keep saying Lego doesnt care about, Lego does or does not.? Lego is a company: there are probably idealistic designers and less idealistic marketing people and who knows how many divisions or descision makers/interfierers. Who know's what Disney is telling them - from other toys we know disney wanted less Luke Skywalker sequel toys because the actor was not very PR in interviews. Maybe theres many stipulations like this that we never know about. -

it's so nice how civil discussions are here, compared to other subs Still no clarity about the function of the belt piece - so the scabard + oxygen tank and breathing mask are somehow connected to belt and neck. I still wonder how exactly the piece or pieces work.. -

Let's see about Nadakahn. Ninjago's point was always to throw a lot of stuff at the screen and use some of it later on with many or no plans. To their benefit mostly things made sense or were explained quite well. So they always put a ton or references but it doesn't mean it's going to be used and even if they want to things can change. Months before Prime empire or season 11 there were tweets about getting explainations for Zane or Jays powers but as far as we know all of this was cut out from the respective seasons. -

It's the same as with the UCS Falcon. The goal was a proper exterior and as bonus there is some small greebeling section to sit/stand a figure within. It's just done for display that's all. almost 2000 pieces for 150 bucks seems like the best deal for a marvel set ever. Even the minifigures are slightly less insulting than usually. -

sets are pretty much what I expected. This fits in with the last waves - its certainly a big step forward but still many steps behind let's say ninjago or other Lego original products. It was insane to believe this wave will be a dramatic game changer. But hey, quite a few improvements and some builds are quite good - like the shuri-copter. And the avengers police station comes without helicopter, quadbike or this kind of stuff. A turret doesn't take too many parts - overall this is the best they could give us I guess. Of course its sad for the missing leg prints, skirt pieces and general updates. But that was to be expected. -

Just came here to take a look at the Thanos figure (and comment on it). I don't know - I still think some fake-Lego ones look much better. But let's see how it'll look in reviews. And for sure much more detailed and advanced, compared to former big-figs!
