Thank you all! As always, indeed I pay lots of attention to minifigs, seems like it pays off. Who might this mysterious master be? -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Exetrius replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hello Lazer, glad to see you back! I'd also like to know when to expect the results of Challenge V, as well as I'd like to point out once more that we haven't heard anything about the Pumkin Pie mini-Challenge either. @ZCerberus @Ecclesiastes, could one of you give us some info on this, please? Anyway, the holidays are approaching, so I can almost start doing bigger builds again! I uploaded episode 15 of my saga this weekend and I have a Nocty build ready to be photographed as well (I only need to figure out when...). -

LEGO Educational & Dacta Discussion Thread
Exetrius replied to Exetrius's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So, I just found out that this is actually labeled an educational set: Bricklink lists it simply as "william-1". Release in 2016, limited to 400 copies. (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=william-1#T=P) In other news, I recently got the braided pony tail piece in white, exclusive to 45023, from Bricks & Pieces. -
First build for the Guilds: (Almost) my latest build: My favorite big, all-out build: The greatest appeal for me: being able making a name for myself as a builder and as a character, in a world that we all share and acknowledge. That is also what moved me to join GoH, of course I was inspired by the hugely talented people who had already achieved just that. Good luck with the presentation!

I know (2016) Bionicle parts used to be available. I'm only familiar with euro pricing, but I think I've never seen a head, yellow or flesh, below €0.23 Cool, should check that out! -

I saw them in the Fun at the beach set and there's two in the Ideas Old fishing store, so I bet we will see them available for purchase somewhere this year. Newly introduced parts tend to not be available for purchase right away, only after a few months.

Exetrius Saga 1: Fallen leaf 2: Message in Kyrrath 3: Equipment upgrade 4: Subjection of a legend 5: Family Dinner 6: Attack of the Hunters 7: Taking the Runestone 8: Supplies Arrive! 9: Festival of the Ranks (part 1) 10: Festival of the Ranks (part 2) 11: Festival of the Ranks (part 3) 12: The ranks are out! 13: Taking a stand, for Nocturnus! 14: Ride through Nocturnus Episode 15: Refreshment at the lavoir Somewhere in the southwest of the Desert lands, sometime in between the Kaliphlinian Civil war and the recent Civil war of Nocturnus... It felt like he was carrying half of the deserts that they had been exploring for lord know how many days. It was everywhere; on his back, between his toes, in his neck, in his nose... Sand, dust! Especially the last week, which they had spent crossing yet another sea of dunes, it was annoying Stenran to no end. Being a military scout, he was always looking for adventure in the landscape; an unusual rock formation, a hidden cave entrance, ruins of buildings lost to time, but they hadn't found anything of the sort for days straight. Bored and boiled, he headed to the top of the next dune. After so long, it seemed like his eyes had to adjust to the collection of square shapes, but there it lay in front of him: a village! With more joy than energy to express it, he reported to the others, then rolled down towards salvation. There was quite a bit of life in the streets. Women were chatting, children and older folk were sitting in the shade, playing some games. In the distance, Stenran spotted a lavoir. The thought of running water alone... As he walked down the narrow street, the carefree chatter made place for a slightly uneasy calm. He could feel the curious, yet somewhat hostile stares from all around him. He had almost forgotten about the sheathed katana on his side and the armour he was wearing. He was confronted by the guard of the lavoir. "Foreign traveller! By order of the Major, you are only allowed to refill your water flask! This town's public water sources are limited." Aside from the strict tone, the guard kindly inquired what brought Stenran to this village. He replied that his master was searching for looking for the most unusual places of the Desert lands, which wasn't far from the truth, honestly. One of his companions joined him. The lively street noises muffled once again. Like in many other places they had visited, his aura left a deep impression. The master, the man he had accompanied, guided and admired for more than a year now, entered the square. All attention was focussed on this graceful, auspicious and charismatic figure. He walked up to the lavoir and quietly started washing his face, hands and feet. Then, he turned to the woman who had been sitting on the bench. "M'lady, would mind telling me where we may find a navigator for this region?" To be continued.... in the next episode: I found something! Hello! I hope you are excited to learn more about this mysterious person, I've been waiting to indroduce him since November last year. Stay tuned! It was fun to do another Kali build, also using a load of newly acquired, much-needed, round tiles. Of course, I'd be glad to receive your comments & criticism!

Oh wow, that's pretty nice actually! Now I'm curious: does the stud connect to other bricks properly?

More news! Given how Cole with hair only appears in the big temple set, I really appreciate his inclusion here! Also, now that we have seen Lloyd in the Juniors set and Cole here, it's safe to assume these are apprentice robes. Neat! Nice Jellyfish saucer set! Frankly, I can't think of anything that I don't like about this. The gondola is a great and original side build, plus: another civilian! -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Exetrius replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think most people go to B&P to get cheap rare minifig parts, newly introduced parts (new design/colour), or printed parts. Most of these are quite specific and subject to a lot of change in availability over time, so that may be a reason why there aren't any lists (not that I know of, at least). -

Another Gargoyle, but this one has the short legs: I think you are right, interesting. Now that I look at the image again, I notice those lightning rods on the back, which add an extra load of fun to its already playful appearance. The only thing still missing is a pair of silly, excited googly eye 1x1's. -

There is none, legs and hands have unique element ID's as well as design ID's. Would be nice to browse them all at once... The black head with yellow eyes is from a Rogul: https://brickset.com/minifigs/nex077 -
Challenge: "A safe haven"- Celebrating five years of GoH!
Exetrius replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
How on earth did I miss this!? Some quick questions for: Do all 18 figs need to be unique from one another? Or would it be okay to have "soldier 1, soldier 2" cases? Do all figures have to be new, as in: never published anywhere until the start of this contest? Or can we add (a few) older, published, figures as well? To be honest, I think 18 completely unique and never-seen-before minifigs is tough to reach, so that's why I'm asking. However, I understand that the focus is to come up with something new and inspiring, and that it's definitely not an army building contest. Having said that, I would like to include some of my proudest figure creations from throughout the years (this is a celebration after all). Two more things: I assume one entry per catagory, and no digital entries? Questions aside, this is a great contest, cool concept! Even with Historica's current diversity, it should be possible to come up with some inspiring new areas! A nice choice of categories, a great selection of prizes, and a royal deadline! I may need to revise my building plans for the summer holidays...
