  1. It looks so cute! So simple but yet so well built. It reminds me of the first 'Railway Series' books. (Predecessor of Thomas and Friends)
  2. The Chinese RM class does have really big deflectors. And it surprisingly looks really cool!
  3. Again a new beauty build by you! Always impressive to see how you get all those details in the locomotives. And this one is no different. Those pipes, megaphones and robotic arms look great! And now you finished the Baureihe, are there any new plans for locomotives?
  4. The deflectors indeed look like well, crap... About pipes, Tony Sava built a cool locomotive using flex axles. ( )
  5. the condensing tenders were used to recover water. The steam from the funnel is transferred back to the tender where giant radiators cool the steam down. (the steam becomes water when cold), the water then gets back into the water tank and the locomotive now has more water. The main purpose for this was to extend the range the locomotive could drive.
  6. What an awesome diorama! Great job with the 'SUPER SPEEDWAY' sign on the ground!
  7. Nice! The details for the bogies are awesome!
  8. Awesome!! But really, did you have to make my sister a barge?...
  9. Do we have to make a separate WIP topic? I've seen that with the technic contests and I wonder if it is oke to do.
  10. Awesome!!
  11. Yes. The forklift is nice and it comes with nice accessories like the engine. Also the forklift is nice and obviously capable of well, everything you need a forklift for and can be used with almost every other forklift set. And the small industrial size is also something I'm a fan of.
  12. Nice concept. the wheels seem oversized but that isn't a big problem. But why does Thomas have the face from James? also, I think Annie & Clarabel's colour should be more of an orange color and i don't really like that their faces stick out.
  13. After a quick look on the web I also think a 4-8-4 would look better as it gives the locomotive a more robust and gigantic look. Just google 4-8-4 and also 4-8-2 and I think it is clear that a 4-8-4 with a doubled amount of trailing wheels looks stronger and heavier and that it really needs those wheels to support the giant firebox. So I'd say 4-8-4.
  14. POWER FUNCTIONS When and how are new power functions parts created? Why don't we have micromotors? Has there been sets that were cancelled because of the Power Functions limitations?
  15. Stunning! Great to see it nearly finished.
  16. Yeeeh, thank God I can update my mac to El Capitan now. Made my day completely awesome. Now back to math:(
  17. it looks cool! But I think the double chimney is kinda weird. It would be better just to have one or to build a sleek housing around it like the how LNER did with the Flying Scotsman.
  18. Yep, light yellowish green/bright yellow. Brighter lightning helps a lot.
  19. Well, the embassy are AFOLS who speak towards TLG 'in name of the community.' So if their are problems with LEGO or suggestions from AFOL perspective the embassy are the people who inform TLG. Or at least, that is what I think it is when I read this topic (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19100). So I suppose that future wishes for themes are sent to TLG by the ambassadors. The easiest way to see influence would be scrolling through the topic and see what sets came after they were suggested.
  20. It looks really nice! How did you make the front grille? Im pretty sure the bottem plates are smaller than the top ones.
  21. Probably the coolest building I've seen.
  22. For power functions you need this: Battery Box for power: 88000 (using 6 regular AAA batteries, does the job for 'normal' use, also in red) 8878 (rechargeable and the strongest battery box, allowing the most motors. Great for train building because you don't need to remove the box to swap batteries, only a small opening for the charge port) 8881 (stronger than 88000 and uses 6 AA batteries but also bigger and uses technic holes instead of studs) Receiver for the control: V1 (the normal receiver, gets the job easily done) V2 (heavy duty version used in the technic crawler, only available through third parties like Bricklink or in a complete set) Motors for movement: Train motor (the standerd motor for trains. Suitable for fast trains where you don't need much torque but only allows 2 axles) M motor (the compact technic motor, frequently used geared down for shunters, or for triple axle bogies, also the only one with studs) L motor (combines the speed of a M motor with the torque of the XL) XL motor (slow but powerful, loves to destroy gears) Remote: always use the speed remote. It allows speed control (duh) for trains while the other remote only allows forward and backward movement. I'd say start with 88000, a receiver, train motor and a speed remote. With that you have all the things you need to start.
  23. What. I have a new title?! I probably missed it or I got it yesterday or so.
