Needa might make the most sense as far as the bounty hunter's scene goes. Needa failed, so the bounty hunters are told to start looking. It's just that his choking took place off-screen. He wouldn't be a difficult fig to make face-wise, no mustache needed. Audio of his choking death. http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/0/0f/ImperialManagementTechniques-ESBRadio.ogg

I hope it's Ozzel, when I originally suggested the idea back when the SSD picture came out almost everyone shot me down. Plus it'd be a unique fig we'll likely never see again. Glad to see that the Hoth rumor is true. Waiting on a set picture now...TLG is doing a good job hiding this one so far.

Amazing! How much does it tip the scales at? It always bothers me, such an iconic vehicle and it's the only one where the manufacturer doesn't have a company logo for a custom UCS card (Corellia Mining Corporation).
-
It's just a horrible speeder altogether, Lego or not. It'll sell though because of the minifigs.

The second video is in English.

If you just want a STAP in general wait till this winter's sets, it's likely going to be Episode 1 dominated.

It looks like the new MF will be a tougher mod regarding the mandibles. The circular part of the Falcon looks to have a larger diameter, which means the mandibles will need to be widened as well as shortened. This will only make the 2x2 circular tiles look that much worse. Cockpit shouldnt be too difficult to move back though. Problems with the mandibles and cockpit are just laziness, they could make it accurate without altering piece count or playability. I'd love to ask the designers why they design sets the way they do sometimes.

I need every ship from the OT at the System scale. If given a mod similar to the one done for 4504, it can look decent. This ship will never look great at System scale because of the cockpit size, but decent is acceptable.

Ugh, I cringe everytime I see that Falcon. Since I have to buy the stupid overpriced thing, I'll wait for both a sale and for a decent MOD to come out for it. To the person who broke the Echo Base story, are the missiles inside the base or is part of the base supposed to be outside?
-
I've seen him. There are 6 droids in the base that have official names. Other than R2 and Threepio, K-3P0, R-3P0, 2-1B, and FX-7. I'm hoping FX-7 is included.

Have a feeling I'll be taking this apart to build a more accurate base...I can't see how a folding structure will resemble anything from the movie.

Makes perfect since that theres no T-47. You can get that in the Wampa set. Makes perfect since that there's no Rebel Troopers since there's a battlepack; there are some Stormtroopers only because you need some enemies. So there's no wall door then? Looks I can combine the older set...

The other one could hardly be called a cantina. I'm thinking well get a big cantina set with the 3D release of ANH.

I'm here everyday hoping for some information on it. I want to see if it will merge with 7666.

AFOL's spend a lot of money on sets and they get NO SAY on the sets TLG chooses to make and how they're built, even when they're targeted for AFOL's like the UCS line. We just show up with cash and buy whatever overpriced ship they throw out there...and you say we have to do it smiling?

Huh? The problem is one of the two when displaying it. A: Leave the top off of the ship to show the bridge scene, but the ship itself will look awful being open. People who don't know Star Wars will think the ship is very small thinking the figures are to scale with the ship. As fallenangel showed earlier, you would never display the Tantive IV with the top off, it looks awful. or B: Leave the ship with the top on, but now you're paying for extra pieces that won't be shown. The overall outside design suffers because of wasted pieces being used on the inside. To make matters worse, this ends any chance of getting a cheaper bridge playset with bounty hunter minifigs that may never be made now. It will likely come with a plaque, but if not, whatever. That's just a sticker that can be recreated. My hope is that the scene is a box that will lift out of the ship not affecting the look of the ship when removed. That way the scene can be placed next to the ship instead of inside it. Still a waste of pieces but better than the alternative.
-
I'll eventually own it, but cost is definitely important. It bothers me I'm paying more for a feature I will not be displaying. Children likely won't be enjoying this feature either, this ship is too big for kids to be running around the room with and too expensive for any parent to justify buying as a one room playset. As far as the minifigs go, they didn't even bother to put in the other bounty hunters (4-LOM and Zuckess) that were exclusive to that scene. I'm buying it because it's the only Executor TLG will ever make at this scale. I'll be waiting for a sale though.
-
It's a UCS model that's not supposed to be played with, so an interior is almost pointless. It's just supposed to be accurate, that's what were paying for. Some people like myself will be placing this on a high shelf due to its size and the space it would take up. The bottom half will likely be visible, more so than the top.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
StoutFiles replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The correct answer is that Lucas didn't consider cauterizing until after those scenes were filmed. The "official" answer is the angle of the cut, lightsaber energy levels, alien species being cut, etc. Whatever can be made up to have it all make sense, basically. However, there are other instances of blood. If you watch Maul get stabbed, there is a mist of blood. It's better to not think about things like that, it'll drive you crazy. -
If the set is overpriced because of them, I get a little annoyed.
-
Even if there isn't a new character fig, the fig itself has been updated to make it "new". Just good business sense to be able to slap a "New Minifig" label on the box.
-
I can understand people showing their ships over here that they built for the FBTB contest, but it's bad form to create a topic that sends users to a competing site.
-
Sorry, but this comes across as terribly lazy. You just replaced the cockpit, one change doesn't make for a good conversion.
-
Just curious, are you saving these scenes after you build them? It'd be impressive to line them all up at some point.
-
Ugh. Yes, this has been on here for months now. People, please make at least 1 minute of effort to check the news thread before you post a picture to see if it's something we already have.
