  1. If you picked up your dads decapitated head at that age you might cry too, especially if he's the only person you associate with. We're not comparing adult Cad to child Boba.
  2. Having the '10 version I would say the only glaring weakness is the rear end. It's a little short and the slope is too steep. Other then that it's great, and I do appreciate the head being very close to the movie. If you don't have one the '10 version is good, but if you have the '03 I would still be satisfied with it, not worth getting a replacement.
  3. Boba was the original Man With No Name. In the OT he was known as just "the bounty hunter". Bane is just a very non-subtle copy of Boba, bleh. I'm not sure why getting a team to work with is a positive? Boba doesn't need help, he just gets the job done. Why is sneaking into the temple a positive again? He was used by Sidious...Boba works on his own terms.
  4. Boba didn't have bad aim. He wasn't trying to hit Luke, he was trying to cover himself. Think about it. He knew that Vader wanted to catch Luke and was part of the process to lure Luke to the carbon freezing room. Had he killed Luke there...well, wouldn't Vader be a little pissed? But had he kept walking like normal, he might have been shot by Luke. So he shoots in the general direction of Luke as cover fire to avoid being shot and keeping Vader's prize intact. I'm pretty sure Boba underestimated Luke on Tatooine (who at that time was looking like a pretty poor Jedi) when his gun was cut in half and shots were blocked when he had Luke tied up. He was about to kill Luke though with a missile before Han hit him with a fluke swing. Not his greatest moment, but he recovered from it. Let's not forget that Luke turns out to be one of the greatest Jedi ever. As for IG-88, we have to reference all four to be fair. IG-88A: Destroyed by Lando and Wedge when Death Star II blew up. IG-88B: Destroyed by Boba Fett on Bespin. Boba 1, IG 0. IG-88C: Destroyed by Boba Fett in space. Boba 2, IG 0. IG-88D: Destroyed by Dash Rendar of the Rebel Alliance. While IG-88 was awesome (most people don't know that if the Death Star hadn't been blown up, IG-88's robot revolution would have been much worse then the Empire was for non-droids) he fought Boba twice and lost twice. Therefore, not as good as Boba. Jango was indeed awesome, but Boba had all of Jango's weapons and skill sets, and made improvements on everything. He became better then Jango which is noted in the EU. I understand if people like a certain bounty hunter over another, but the characters in the SW universe acknowledge that Boba is the deadliest and he proves it time and time again. The movies downplay his greatness because most of Boba's lore is established in the EU.
  5. ^And then Boba escaped from the sarlacc pit, one of the few to ever do so. Lucas has since regretted the insulting end he gave to Boba and contemplated shooting a scene of Boba escaping from the pit. I'm sorry, but there is Boba Fett, and then there are other bounty hunters that are not Boba Fett. That's just how it is.
  6. I'm knew to the whole release schedule of SW sets. So a few questions: Is there a set number of release waves for each year? About how soon before a wave should we know what is coming in the wave?
  7. #1: Executor #2: Home One (the ship, not the command center)
  8. I was thinking the Sail Barge just because it's entertaining for kids...a set that would probably sell well. So you're saying the fighters would remain blue in a remake?
  9. Jabba's Palace WITH a Rancor. It's almost an insult that the old set doesn't have one. Cloud City. It sells for so much online (thanks Boba Fett!) that a new one is needed just to be able to buy one. Mos Eisley Cantina. Needs more then one table...I'd like the bar, the band, and at least two tables to sit at.
  10. #1: Leia in Boushh disguise #2: A Bantha #3: A Rancor #4: Printed Jabba I feel like we'll get all these on or before the ROTJ 30th anniversary.
  11. What I wonder is why they went from brown bricks to red bricks in the newest one. I thought each release was supposed to be more accurate then the previous model?
  12. I just recently started collecting OT sets for a display I'm working on with all vehicles and important scenes from the OT (no UCS, it's a little too big). Hope to finish it in the next year or two. What I'm wondering is...what sets do you think have a high probability of being remade in the next 1-2 years? For example, I would be disappointed to spend a lot of money on older sets like Cloud City to just have them remade the next year. I'm also not a big fan of the newest Falcon (2004) but I'd buy it if they won't remake it due to the UCS being made. Sets I'm wavering on buying because I feel they may remake soon: Sandcrawler Sail Barge Millennium Falcon Mos Eisley Cantina Jabba's Palace Hoth Rebel Base Twin Pod Cloud Car TIE Bomber/Fighter (I have the Interceptor but hate the blue theme when compared to Vader's TIE) I'll be buying new things every couple months so I'd want to order purchase order based on how likely something will be remade. Any suggestions?
