  1. Whether Anakin started off good or not is highly debatable. Just remember that while he was officially still "good", he murdered women and children among other things.
  2. It had that the last time they were online. They aren't here yet...
  3. def, you do realize that multiple small sets adds up to one big set? If you're just getting bills paid I'd have to agree with the missus. Lego's should never take over when it comes to disposable income, you're making it sound like they do.
  4. Please stop peddling your site.
  5. I enlarged the base slightly per everyone's opinions. Both T-47's can rotate 360 degrees (they are both on swivels used in 7666). I think this looks better than before, and I feel it's worth the cost to shrink the battlefield slightly.
  6. I could always remove one of them. I need to represent the snowspeeder though, and outside the base it looks bad if it gets too close to the AT-AT due to their scale differences. I'll see what I can do though.
  7. That's something to consider for sure. I will likely leave it in playset form but I will try to add more tiled pieces where I can. This will never match some of those thousand dollar MOCs, sadly. I agree, definitely needs more piping. I'm not stocked in that so in the future sometime. I think an Echo Base challenge would be fun, see if someone could make something from 7879 that's better than what TLG designed.
  8. If I had to guess why, it's because it would have been somewhat of a useless scene in the movie. The medals being presented were more about Leia's personal connection with the characters involved, the wink from Han and the smiles with Luke. She didn't have much connection with Chewie besides a hug after Luke/Han destroyed some TIE fighters. The height thing is BS; Chewie could have kneeled or bent over. Does it matter if Chewie got a medal? Not really. Han was the one who made the decision to go back and he was piloting the ship. I'm more upset that Wedge didn't get a medal, he kicked megablocks in the Battle of Yavin.
  9. This is incredible, well done.
  10. Pictures put in the first post. No room. I have another shelf for it anyway with other ships from the asteroid scene.
  11. The bridge will be there but the T-65 won't. It's just too big to fit in the base without taking up all the room in the ship bay. I could always take the bridge out if it looks dumb without a T-65 there.
  12. Dissatisfied with the 7879 design, I've decided to try building my own small base. The main goal of this design is to separate important rooms while making an attempt at movie accuracy (unlike 7879). It will never fully be complete until I get 7879, but I should be able to finish 90% of it with the pieces I have lying around. Here's the design I have so far. Note this has to fit on a 4 foot by 1 foot shelf, and there will need to be leftover room for a turret defense and an approaching AT-AT. I think this is as big as I can let it be. This is the design I always hoped TLG would make, either #1 and #2 as separate sets or one big one. Oh well. I'll update late tonight with pictures. EDIT: Here are some pictures, sorry for the quality. Now just waiting for 7879 to finish it up. Hopefully people will get some ideas from this for their own Echo Base designs. EDIT 2: Enlarged base. This will be filled with the medical items from 7879.
  13. They probably had complaints from people trying to find the sets in stores. It was likely a mix up to even put those sets online before you start selling them.
  14. There's over a 20 year gap between the end of the Malevolence and the building of the Executor. They were never together so displaying them like they were is just odd. I'd also argue that few people would appreciate the arrangment as well as a good amount of OT fans do not acknowledge the Cartoon Wars. Just my opinion though, do what you want.
  15. Why would anyone want to showcase two ships right next to each other that are from different eras?
  16. He's not going to deal with anyone individually. If he sells it, which he shouldn't right now, he will make much more money with a public auction. Nice try though.
  17. Yes, the icicles appear to fall when the pin is pulled. This is the one LEGO set I will have to completely redesign in order to be happy with.
  18. The gold content is meaningless compared to the rarity of the figure.
  19. I would never sell it unless hard pressed for money. Gold + collectors item = fortune. This will rise in value exponentially, I kid you not.
  20. You could probably guess by comparing the current UCS prices with other countries. If you're off it won't be by much.
  21. In the EU universe, sure. Everything has a stupid past in the EU.
  22. Very nice R5-N2. Is that all the UCS sets minus Maul? Also, I feel like I've seen your minifig display somewhere else online, I remember those varying colors with two people at a time...
  23. Nice mod, adds something to a pretty simple set. You've got a good collection there...could you take some pics of it and post it in the "Show your Army and Collection Display"?
  24. Next year is your best chance to get an arena set.
  25. Maybe so, but they do give collectors late to the game a chance to own MISB sets. The only people I could see being mad about this is other collectors who have MISB sets and don't want that market to be saturated. It's not like they prevent anyone from buying the set during its normal production run.
