Galley, La Capitana, Chapmann plate LVIII no.18
blackdeathgr replied to Anders T's topic in Pirate MOCs
Coincidentally, as I was reading about piracy in the Mediterranean during 16-17th century these days, this is a ship I would like to see moc-ed from you, since it played a huge role this period. Thanks for your great work! -
Excellent!

[Mystery Island 9] In the Laboratory
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice laboratory (and funny above all)! Some monkeybusiness is definitely brewing over there! That "alembic-oid" trans light blue thing is well built and kudos on the old black armless torso (or at least I think it is exactly that ) ! -
Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
blackdeathgr replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A great era-appropriate book (not sure where to post it so I think it would benefit more people if it stayed here - feel free to move it though) "Discurso de mi vida" by Alonso de Contreras A true gem and one of the finest books of the so called Golden Age of Sail, along with the "The True History of the Conquest of New Spain". Hopefully it inspires you! Cheers! -

blackdeathgr replied to Legonaut's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice one! Great beach, foliage and wall! NPU on the lbg ingot you used at the wall! As I wrote at Flickr as well, the cannons doesn't look intimidating enough, (We Oleanders have waaaaay bigger cannons -> ) -
[Mystery Island 7] Examination subjects
blackdeathgr replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aren't you sure this isn't another far fetched story a drunken sailor narrates between drinks????? -
Now I know why you take your time with builds. They always look so fantastic! I especially love how the fence, buildings etc, blend so well into the landscape. Thanks for adding to our BoBS lore and our Oleander territories! I believe this is what us Oleanders call "The last Frontier" of the New World (at least until we send some of our explorers further north - idea for an interrim challenge)!!!

Hmmmm... an interesting technique for small sized boats. Add (sea-water) salted popcorn to the things they sell and in no time, you will become an event-seller tycoon! P.S: Don't you love some of the ninjago minifigs???

Nice one Bodi! Late or not, our loyal subjects will cheer for them!

blackdeathgr replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice vignette and really cute and cleverly built banana-monster If our two compatriots come alive out of all these stuff, it is sure that they are going to spread some serious stories about those "bananombies" (tm) that hunted them! -
