  1. The great builds blend nicely to the story. I don't know why but the hairdresser's room reminded me the one from Sweeny Tod's movie with the white walls and the minimalistic decoration . And ofc your build reminds me that I have to do my hair sooner than later since that quarantine is finally finished.
  2. Amazing beach!!! Note to self: Why every time I am building a beach it looks like ...(well, let's simply say bad) while others make such beautiful ones?!?!?!?! It vividly reminds me of a LEGO meme, loosely saying "what I am building (posing two simple 2x4 bricks) and what others are building (usually posing a great MOC)".
  3. Yeap, I remembered now. You are correct!
  4. Mind that you can only license 3 builds (FB or anything else that generates money) per month as I recall but please correct me if I am wrong.
  5. Welcome aboard @Thomas Waagenaar and what an interesting character/story! Having played a bit of D&D in my younger age (dwarf fighter pew pew), I, too, think that you will find the economic system of the game quite simple/manageable. You can always ask anything at the "inner channel/PM" of our faction where you have been invited already) Still, money is secondary here while the storytelling is definitely something we tend to bring forth as means of shaping up BoBS universe and as a way to spark imagination and great builds.
  6. Aristocracy supporting or sponsoring the war effort of Oleon is generally considered a most noble thing in Oleon society and one of its pillars (something like a raison d'etre). Thus, rich people that practise sponsoring, have their names inscripted in stone slabs or public monuments in squares throughout the country and are admired and loved by many. With all that said, it is not uncommon for a lady such as Madame de Courteville to simply do her duty to the Oleon society (and show-off to her lady friends at the same time). OOC now, the build is nice, especially the staircase and the weapon rack as said by others too.
  7. Excellent stand for the weapon and great idea to use red as attackers. Something that has become a tradition in Oleon since after the "Juniper Wars" Go team OL, go!!
  8. A pic full of feelings. Great job!
  9. I like it! On the other side, I like each and every domed building in LEGO form. They look so cute and Middle Eastern!!! Teach them well Canon! Book-burning?!?!
  10. Great seaside front! I also liked the (gruesome) battle and story. Head collecting? Are we sure BoBS residents have explored the abilities of formaldehyde yet??
  11. Nice starting line and of course your "floating battery" is great (and curvy at the right spots I must add)! Also the "helping" rowboat is a clever idea as the main ship is cumbersome and it needs help in form of smaller, more nimble vessels. Now let's all praise the mighty gray barrel, howitzer, mortar!
  12. @Captain Becker Couldn't agree more. Take your time and enjoy this build thoroughly. Just a spot to pay attention while building. Be careful with the sails when building the island version as they may need some pressure to be properly attached to the masts.
  13. Nice one! If I were you, I would have raised the deck a bit at the stern (where the helm is) for better visibility while sailing
  14. While waiting for your copy of the Pirates of Barracuda Bay... 1) How many bottles are there in total at Pirates of Barracuda Bay LEGO set? 2) How many lanterns light the poor Pirates of Barracuda Bay at nights? 3) How many crabs are there in total? 4) How many coconuts can fall on your heads while fishing underneath its palm trees? 4) How many animals in total can you find in this set (dreaded pirates do not count towards the animal total sum)? 5) How many golden items can one find in total in this set (any grade of gold is counted towards the total sum)?? 6) How many of the new orange-ish 2x2 boxes can you find? 7) In how many colors besides dark tan has LEGO produced those ropes used for climbing up the masts ? 8) How many canonballs will you get in the eyes if you dare attack the dwellers of Barracuda Bay?? 9) Who is Jose after all, besides being the owner of the biggest franchising chain of Inns in the world right now???? 10) Lady Anchor or Robin Loot? and finally the dreaded bonus question : 11) What do we do if we do not carefully place the sails and they get teared in the proccess???
  15. Hehehe, nice use of the carton base (from Extras?) ! And of course I am really eyeing the black "big/Jack" rowboat!
  16. I blame Covid-19, the "stay inside/stay safe" campaign and the Barracuda hype! The theme of this challenge also helped So, good luck gentlemen!
  17. Excellent crew and rows!!! We should tremble before the mighty Corrington little rowboats!? Naaaah... For the boat itself, as others have said, the bow is indeed too sharp so you could smooth it on future vessels of yours (Mark II and onwards). Also the ratio between length and width is a bit off for this one (it would be really cumbersome to sail in real sea - it would be what we call a nut shell in my waters) as the boat should be either narrower or in your case longer (since I understand you want to accomodate its payload of a double row of despicable redcoats plus the gun). And of course all this criticism is because you have a really good potential as a builder so keep experimenting and googling rowboats and stuff (I have found it helps tremendously).
  18. Yay (one more time) for the tent and the overall accessories!
  19. I really like the contrasting colors, the cleverly built vessel and the bustling scene in general. However given that the Tyree'De are the focal point of the story, we could all benefit from a close up so as to see them haggling.
  20. The tree canopy is EPIC!!!!!! Also equipment laying around a camp, is never enough!
  21. Hm, fleshies (and their various shades) ARE nice after all...go figure...
  22. Great fireplace, table and floor! I guess where the native goes, so is his spear, right?
  23. Nice idea and well excecuted!
  24. Really nice text and brilliant part usage such as the stud shooters at the columns which look like sculptured, the (spider) net, the trans clear tile with handle for the swimmer etc. I like it!
