  1. Really nice indeed! I am not sure which one I like more, the one with the deer or the one with the knight!!!
  2. Bah, I prefer the "no mouth" explanation for my king Kahuna!
  3. Also add the "Tarzan" guy with the black monkey from the minifig series, the vintage weightlifting guy with the animal hide as clothes (again from past minifig series), some older ninjago "enemies" from their jungle adventures (the ones the bad guys wore skeletal snake heads used as helmets) etc etc. Just browse through the past minifig series and you will certainly find interesting parts for your islanders! I can't help but state though that the original islanders trample the new versions anytime!!!
  4. An excellently built ship for its size and great presentation too (both writing and rendering pose)!!! Safe journeys and stay away from our mighty Oleander fleet!
  5. The symmetry of the towers leaving nearly no gap at the wall connecting points is impeccable! And so is the door with the more than clever use of the black HP wand sprues! The wooden floor (with the minor gaps) also is really great (and part intensive)!
  6. Thanks for your concern @Khorne. Fortunately we relocated 6 months ago from the place where the Athens fire was and we are OK. I had many relatives though that were affected at the other, way bigger fire in Evia island where the villages of my grandfathers were almost burned and the fire reached within 5 km from our village . All that remains around the villages where they hunted, cutting wood, produced resin and sheep grazed, is now but a sore sight that really blackens your heart. These places had been burned again 40 years ago but somehow they recovered within 20-30 years. Now we must again patiently wait 20-30 more years... And ofc after each fire, floods immediately follow. In any case, climate change is a real thing and I suppose we must all adapt accordingly, so stay safe everybody!
  7. What a charming little house with some slippery slippy stairs Mr B! You fall, you die, but c' est la vie I guess! The rockwork and water effect are great and so is the... thickness of the rope you used (no, seriously, I find it perfect!)
  8. On topic but I think I am not excited anymore about those country specific VIP giveaways the way they got handled...
  9. Alternatively I think we have somewhere around here the vectors of sails (and I believe) flags as well, that you can download and then go to a printing shop to discuss printing stickers (of various qualities and their prices)
  10. Taking the brick to a whole new dimension!!! Ahahahahahahahahaha
  11. I really love the whole scene! There are so many things going on and so many details that you can look at it for quite some time and still find new things and cleverly used bricks!
  12. Oh so they DO come apart!!! Now I am scared of little ones not eating stones, dust, leaves AND Duplo "minifig" parts (system/"regular" Lego bricks are tucked away for now)! Nice "part" choices you've got there btw!! All I am building with my little ones using Duplos are ships, submarines, trucks that help animals, robots, skyscrapers and fences for dinosaur/animal parks!!
  13. Thirded! (?) This thing is huge, detailed and pure beauty! The various parts are a perfect mach to each other! And that's where our mighty fleet comes from, gentlemen!
  14. Excellent terrain, ladder, rock-work and semi-derelict shack! Overall a really nice MOC!
  15. Excellent build, fit for a Lord Pirate!!! Regarding its width, I find "chubby" ships more pleasing to the eye and "playable" of some sort as their ample space make for easier positioning of props like minifigs, cannons etc. Plus they resemble my childhood Styrofoam ships
  16. Just lovely! One can never use enough foliage!!! And I wish I could take such photos myself! You make it look so easy!!!
  17. No need to use technic extravaganza stuff if you can avoid them. One could try this (or this part) and their cannon wheels in a single line or in "W" formation. I believe they are more in scale with minifigs. Then use a rope with those studs attached on their end and try to see if you could achieve a semblance of movement (or something similar). Aaaah, I so wish I could try this myself and come up with some results! Hopefully you don't mean this freak of nature...!
  18. OMG! Such a beauty! Congratulations on this wonder!
  19. I imagined something like this two-plate-thick background but with the latest addition of Dots and your experience, I guess you could do wonders. @Ross Fisher Baby crocodiles! Cute bunnies! Lion cubs! Mischievous monkeys... Can LEGO animals be any more cuter these days?????
  20. WoW! Excellent! We definitely need more cultural (insert theatrical) builds like that as theater was sort of like the TV of that era. I really like the fact that there is action and props behind the scene (the tail-less crocodile-"costume" is surely an awesome idea by the way) !!! An idea for future reference, would be to add a one-or-two-plate-thick colored background that changes via pulleys (aka Lego ropes(?) or something (and put it at Lego Ideas for voting because it is a unique idea/build).
  21. Nice foliage and definitely great use of custom and not minifigs! Who knew one could find a browncoat that isn't stickered these days...! One could argue that he is over-printed but it blends so well here (along with the English officer(?) torso) that makes the whole build pop!
  22. That thing is a beauty! A treatise on rock-work and solemn graves Great inspiration on the Hargrid-minifig combo.
  23. @AyrlegoSomehow I knew it would be you the first on those elephants! Although I know they are African ones due to ears, tusks etc, their size seems more appropriate for Asian ones (assuming they are all male adults that is). Now I am torn between those cute beauties (also insert sturdier) and the bigger but a bit uglier "older" (also insert way less sturdier) ones ... Perfect as always and great subcontinental vibe regarding those awesome minifigs (especially those HP ones with the pink dresses or with the grand mustaches etc)! Also off topic but one could argue that buying the bigger African savanna set could net you the full range of those beasties but nooo, they had to make that male lion white, well, just because...! And PaB or Bricks and Pieces don't work on our turf. Pfff!!! Try using a Playmobil 1-2-3 one . Studless but blends in better (trust me, from my experience!!!). They can be frequently found in the wild (aka my carpet), being ridden by ninjago blue minifigures
  24. What a fine establishment! And the river looks great too! If I had to change anything, it would be to add one or two bigger/higher trees to better compliment the awesome building of yours. But you know, posing with so many deer is a baaaad bad thing!!!
