Really nice! I am a sucker for black tricorns as standard soldiers' hats -
[Esl - Ch II A] : Fort Severus
blackdeathgr replied to Tezclatipoca's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A nice entry! It has a feeling of a hastily built fortification with materials found around the island, which i like. And the colors just ooze Eslandola! The fact that the natives are still around you is what i call "ignorance" on their behalf- 14 replies

Everything from the shore to the ship is excellent. But the water must be one of the best attempts i have ever seen!! Now who is the daring "young" lad that is going to try such thing as build it with real bricks???- 21 replies

Fishing and trade post at Zeus' island - small commerce - license pending -
Situated at the mouth of River of True Faith, just outside Astrapi settlement at Zeus' island and built on a bare rock, this fishing post provides most of the fish sold at the island and the waters around it. Hugo d'Offren spent a day there to evaluate the fish drying process and buy food for the fleet. (I wanted to try a build on a barren rock without greenery and i have yet to find a solid way of making flat builds that aren't somewhat boring. Any feedback given is appreciated) Thanks for watching!

Yay! Elisabeth is back on her feet!!! As always my friend your rock-work never ceases to amaze me. And that foliage is great. And the minifig posing. Just great! My sympathies to your country as well. -

[COR - FB1] Selling the best steeds
blackdeathgr replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Looooool!!!!! Indeed! That was my thought too! But i am quite fond of that house as the outside (and the roof and the street) are to my liking! Regarding the furniture, i like everything but the cupboards that i believe they should either be black as well or even better (wooden) brownish to keep up with the trend of these days, because gray looks a tad too modern for that era. Keep up building and breed some horses for us LEGO animal lovers (i wrote it in a good way)!- 8 replies

[SR-FB2 Mar] Tropical Fruit Decision
blackdeathgr replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent everyday life scene! The attention to detail is really noteworthy (snot, teeth etc) and i too find the palm tree idea rather good although i believe that either the trunk is too thick/symmetrical all the way to the top or it must be taller-bear more leaves. I mean this technique is really great but it isn't quite minifig scaled, unless you make that tree taller with more leaves (e.g. cost a fortune). But then it would really shine and the tree itself could easily be frontpaged -

[SR-FB1 Mar] La Oleon Class 3A
blackdeathgr replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Brick built sails are top notch and i also love the colors. The anchor is a beauty as well! But Oleon shipyards would have never built such a high hull-ed ship that is prone to capsize. It is surely a work of Corries!!!!!!!!!!! -

Sarge this hull is awesome and i too am looking forward of the result! One can never have enough hinges for this technique but doom spiro spero (I hope as long as i live) This is exactly the kind of ship i had in mind when i entered BoBS and one of my favorites. I would like to see more of them (and i cannot bribe Bregir into MOCing one for me, since he has way more money than all of us combined!!) -
