I wonder when LEGO will venture into making prequel or sequel trilogy ucs sets. Last prequel ucs we got was obi wan's jedi starfighter, I believe.
-
I certainly hope it's something at minifigure scale. I'm not really a fan of UCS sets that are much bigger than fig scale. TIE-Fighter and Snowspeeder were uninteresting to me, but sets like the Slave I, Imperial Shuttle and Millenium Falcon are great. I might welcome a new ISD, if it's done properly and with plenty of detail. As for playsets, well, there's always the Cloud City dream...

[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
Terrasher replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Darn, I think I just found two more stickers. Look at those two dark red triangles at the top corners of the 1x6 arches on the turret window. Those don't look like bricks to me... -
REVIEW: 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V
Terrasher replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hollowed out? Sanded? Blasphemy! In all seriousness, I don't know if that would work out, since, in order to fit the white cone on top of the grey one, the white one should be bigger than the grey, and they are both the same size. Even after sanding the interior of the white piece to make it thinner, I think it would look odd if it were able to fit, which I'm not sure it could. -
[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
Terrasher replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Went to the LEGO Store yesterday and, like everyone is saying, it's huge. Like, way bigger than anything else you've seen for sale at the store. The thing about it is that it's quite flat, so that allows for a much larger shape width and length wise. I also asked one of the employees how many they expected to have in stock for the 14th, he said he had no idea. Oh well, if it's out of stock in that store, I still have another one that's not too far from where I live and that is kind of ghost town-ish. -
As far as the pics look, I dont think the feet retract. Either way, if they could, I think TLG would have showed it in the designer video or in the pics. As far as them being able to be removed: probably quite easily. Just pull em off and thats all, unless theres some more complicated technic building techniques connecting them to the ship.

I know I'll be able to design my own stand. But if I'm about to spend 1k $ on this set, I might aswell hope for most of everything. You do you, I do I. Still can't wait for september 14th! On a more "on-topic" note, anyone know if the set will be on display at LEGO stores tomorrow? I called both stores near me and they're still playing the game of "new millenium falcon? What are you talking about?"
-
Partial(?) interior looks awesome, but I still see no indication of a display stand (I dont know what to think of the black foot under tge falcon on yesterday's leak). Looking at the grey outline on the side of the box, the under side of the MF might be very bare. Yup, no display stand. Just saw another pic and the UCS plaque is by itself like in 10179. Might there still be a shred of hope?
-
Whats that little black foot umderneath the falcon? Is it part of the landing gear or part of the stand?
-
How sure can we be about the new MF being sold out for the first few weeks? If we're comparing the Saturn V with the MF, I think we're comparing apples with oranges. The Saturn V was a lot cheaper and could attract a much larger audience, while the MF might only appeal to Star Wars fans and... well... it is almost 1k $. Sure, LEGO probably won't produce as many MFs as Saturn Vs but I just want it to be in stock for the time I get to the Store boy I'm so excited just get to friday pleeeeease.
-
Anyone able to translate whats in the red circle? Might it be 10 minifigures?
-
I would be incredibly surprised if it were just another fake. I mean, the quality of the ad, the side pods matching what we saw in last week's teaser and the overall new design (it doesn't look like any MF MOC we've seen) indicate it very probably being the real thing!
-
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Head over to the lego reddit page!
-
That's just 10179, not the new MF, obviously.

[MOC] Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II (Update 1 added)
Terrasher replied to Terrasher's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Since the detailing is pretty much done, I'll be looking into making alternate versions for future updates. I'll see about the possiblity of making suicide doors, just to see how it would look, and for fun. I have plans for another update to add the option of changing the color scheme from all black to black bottom and grey top. All suggestions are welcome, thank you for your feedback! Accessories is something I'll be adding in the next update. I don't know if I'll manage a holder for an umbrella but I'll see what I can do. EDIT: Just added an umbrella holder. I don't believe the real Silver Cloud II has this feature but I'll keep it for this model since it's quite an iconic thing in other Rolls Royces (plus, it's pretty neat). -
[MOC] Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II (Update 1 added)
Terrasher replied to Terrasher's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Every image I've seen of the Silver Cloud II on Google doesn't seem to have suicide doors. I admit it would have been interesting but, to stay true to the real car, I had the front and back doors open the same way. -
[MOC] Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II (Update 1 added)
Terrasher replied to Terrasher's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Update 1: Functionality! Changes: Changed the design of the hood The doors, the trunk and the hood now open Added: detail on the interior side of the doors; engine; slightly improved wheels Though there may be a few hollow spots here and there, compared to the first version, the Silver Cloud II has now all the functionality a LEGO car should have. [MOC] Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II (Update 1 added)
Terrasher replied to Terrasher's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I've been improving the model ever since I posted it here and I've changed the hood quite a bit! It's now a lot smoother and built in a more interesting fashion than just plates on top of plates with the studs looking straight up. Plus, I've managed to make the hood open up. Let me just finish the motor inside and I'll post an update very soon! -
I love building cars. They're diverse, beautiful, and small enough to be built from spare pieces and scratch. So I went ahead and built a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II. It's fancy, it's sleek, it's a bit of a challenge (just the right amount) and it looks fantastic on display. I love this model. I've built a Chevrolet Bel Air from 1957~ (I'll post it at a later date) and I'm working on a Plymouth Special Deluxe, but that one's stalled due to a lack of brown pieces. So far the Rolls has no functionality. Nothing opens, there's no motor and nothing in the trunk. But I'm working on it and you can expect a few updates soon! :) Luckily, LEGO doesn't yet own the Rolls Royce license, so I managed to put it on LEGO Ideas. Here's the link if you'd like to support the project (every supporter is greatly appreciated (obviously)): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/af1f1fe1-1bc2-41a8-b782-ba12e16a1d71 That's it for now, I'll get back to you all when I'm done adding some functionality to the car.

Anyone know how often TLG released the little teasers for the Saturn V? Cuz it'll be a week since the (MF?) box teaser and I hope we'll get something else soon.

An even more x-rayed picture has been posted by a user over at brickset. Details are still barely visible but I think it's slightly better than the other x-rays. That black bar at the top of the box is weird. Its as if it were the box art used in regular sets. Yet I doubt what we're looking at is the back of the box, due to the size of the main Falcon picture and the amount of action going on (I'd assume the back would show the ship in a hangar). Maybe it's just deep space over a planet's surface? EDIT: Here's what I see: http://imgur.com/gbiJwTi Is that a TIE at the top - middle-ish?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Terrasher replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Wasn't there a sort of "housing & retail, government, business" rotation for modulars? If such thing is true, then perhaps next modular would supposedly be government-related. -
Man, wasn't expecting a leak of the Snowspeeder today. It looks quite cool and, for whatever reason, every time I'm looking at this set, it reminds me of the UCS Slave I. Probably because it looks so spot-on. Although, the price tag of what will probably be 250CAD is a bit rough . It's a beautiful set but it feels a bit too small for that price. Whatever, I'll still end up purchasing it on the first week after release.

Lego themes that we would like to happen
Terrasher replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know if this could be its own theme but I'd love something between the Architecture and the Landmark series. Like, make 150$ - 200$ priced buildings like the Emprie State, the Chrysler, the One World Trade Center, etc. Something that'll come out more often than Landmarks but that will be more eye-catching, more detailed and bigger than the Architecture sets.- 451 replies

I was really hoping to see the imperial spy in the A New Hope poll. Still, I really like this idea of a Star Wars CMF poll. It's fun to see which characters are more wanted by the community. I think the episode in which I voted for the most minifigures is episode V, what with all the bounty hunters and cloud city-related figs.
