  1. I guess they saw Lucio Switch's model and just gave up ;-) But on a serious note. Not now or not ever?
  2. Well it looks pretty smooth at least. If you make the content a bit more exciting, you might have something.
  3. A bit of a lazy video to be honest. Just this list, which we can all find on brickset, or wherever, with one picture per set.
  4. Maybe it would be good to make explicit whether custom stickers are allowed.
  5. Wow, I had a second when I thought this was a completely different topic. But the name change makes sense!
  6. They certainly look orange, but it does not make a whole lot of sense to have both 2L red and orange axles in the same set. Also, the red 2L axles are already a different color from other axles, so they don't need to be recolored. Maybe the orange axles are 2L with stop or something like that? edit: or maybe the color difference is just a result of some photoshopping.
  7. I love it! With some editing it could be straight out of a sci-fi movie.
  8. Looks like this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=61800&in=S
  9. Wow, that looks so good! How about one of these in the middle? edit: and a couple of these on the other side ;-)
  10. Good question. I don't really know. I think some people here print them on clear foil.
  11. Great model! It looks huge and strong and still quite elegant. I usually dislike stickers, but in this case I think it could improve the model further.
  12. 1: 10 6: 6 10: 4 16: 3 8: 2 9: 1 Great contest. I enjoyed the WIP topics of milan and efferman most (edit: I voted based on the end results though not WIP). Apparently I also really like harbour cranes, didn't know that. I was also inspired to build my own mobile crane, but that will have to wait until I have a bit more time.
  13. I wish more builders would go "back to basics" ;-)
  14. Looks great. I'm especially curious to see the outriggers move.
  15. So will you shorten the chassis again? ;-) Looks great. I really like the scale and have been looking at something similar myself since these tyres became available.
  16. I hope so, that would be a great alternative for:
  17. As efferman says. It is not due to being a new member. If you look at other posts, you will see that the pictures are never hosted at eurobricks. Just put them at e.g. brickshelf and add them in your post with the Image button using the brickshelf url.
  18. I have built this model a while ago. Great model, poor pictures I'm afraid. In my opinion the use of panels in this model is better than in the A model. The functions are also really clever. The model looks much better in real life, and I can advise anyone who has the set to build it. Just don't use the build instructions function in LDD, just use the build view and the hide tool. In this picture the shuttle was apparently deploying the satellite while preparing for landing (facepalm).
  19. White has become quite a popular technic colour again. Is there any reason to think that these new white parts will age better than e.g. the 8880 wheels? Or will e.g. the cargo plane and arocs cab become just as yellow/tan in 10-20 years? (How long did it actually take for the 8880 wheels to discolour so much?)
  20. 10: 10 16: 6 14: 4 11: 3 18: 2 9: 1 The competition started off a bit slow, but great final stretch!
  21. I can only answer Q3, but that is a well known 'problem'. Yes, it sounds horrible, and I think TLG should change the LA design if only for this reason, but functionally it is fine. This is how it is supposed to work and sound.
  22. Well, you're of to a good start at least :-) I like the model a lot. It also seems quite realistic as a LEGO set, not a 20k-piece MOC. The only thing that I think could be better is the movie. P.S. there are lots of MOCs on rebrickable with only a 3D file no instructions.
  23. I was actually considering 42038 as a parts pack . I may have to reconsider... Thanks for the review. Real shame about those #3 connectors.
  24. Hi jblackwe, I don't know what age the kids are and whether they still might try to eat smaller lego parts, but otherwise a few basic technic pieces might do the trick. post #172 and #180 in this thread provide some examples (thanks guy), but most anything will do. The round bricks are very handy because they fit on duplo studs and have an axle hole, but other than that no special pieces are needed.
