And, right on cue, three excellent new Castle figures pop up. I'm sure that you'll like the new skirt and mace pieces, and maybe you could use the Scary Knight's shield as heraldry for designing a new faction, as suggested earlier.

Maybe not. I wouldn't put it past Lego to put out a simple-one waver during NK's run, similar to Castle 2013 and Lotr. The Satyr is very useful for fantasy settings, and he'll look good locked up in the S13 Goblin's fortress. Digging the Scary Knight. Wish they gave him a new helmet, but without the shield he fits right in with the Kingdoms Dragon Knights. The Queen and S13 King will look nice together and I like how they have matching color schemes. However, with no one to rule they have no power in my Lego Kingdom......

Remember that one Lava Monster with the grill on his face that was in one of the trailers? He's been speculated here to appear in a large vehicle set, and the new mace would would well with him.

I think you just missed the point. Of course it's not for traditional Castle fans. Neither was KK2. However, just like Castle 2013, had there been a "Real" Castle theme coming out next year there would have been endless complaining and disappointment. Literally nothing can totally please a large body of people, and Lego understands that. They are now in a cycle of Fantasy Castle---> Regular Castle--->Big Bang Castle and it's quite effective. After it ends, NK will be considered almost totally by this board to be a Castle theme. Take a look at this poll. A sizable majority voted that KK2 is not a Castle theme and should be treated differently, simply because the poll was made during the theme's run and people then were upset that an "Awful" sub theme could ruin their perfect "Castle" line. Yet here's KK2, in this poll about Castle themes. Funny, isn't it?

Unfortunately poll-making is unlocked at 500 posts. If you start posting right now, in a couple of months you will be able to make that poll. However, if you are dying the poll made, you could always ask someone with 500+ posts to do if for you. Back on topic, I can't wait to see what that new Satyr looks like. In a way Lego has created FE2 through CMFs: Evil Dwarves, Goblins, Elves, and Satyrs. I can wait for FE2 as long as Lego keeps churning out those great Lava Monsters, though.

So in other words, it's an addiction. To the ones who are reading this, keep in mind that there are 280 Castle sets (Before NK, which has 32 so far) and in all likelihood you don't own all of them, and there are several that you would like to buy. Go buy those. Congrats on reaching Citizen!

And? There is no neutral site for the poll. The poll could have gone in Castle or Action, and it's in Action because that's where the NK thread is. Also, there are far more users in Action who care about the sets themselves, as Historic is mainly MOCers, hence GOH having a sub-forum. And one of the "Yes" votes comes from the principal designer of the theme itself.

I think I found another new vehicle. At the end of the Lance character video, there's a small, four-wheeled object rolling towards the Fortrex in the top left corner. Wonder what that is? A+ for you. I think that it's completely ridiculous to judge a theme based on the negative reaction to a five minute mini movie to introduces the characters. We literally have no idea how long the theme is going to last, other than the fact that it won't be a one-year theme.
