Emmi replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I will get mine for around €240. The only downside is that I have to wait until August 1. -

Hopefully Jim can answer my question this time ... when does the review embargo for this set lift? We are 4 weeks off from release, it must be coming properly soon? -

I think we have a win-win situation here ... both front wheel arches have a print on it ... on the other side both wheel arches on the rear end don't have one. So MOCers can still use them for their cars and there's no stickers to be applied for the official set, as I said ... win-win. EDIT: Let's not forget there are a total of 6 wheel arches in this set of which 2 have prints ... so MOCers be happy, you get enough Also I just noticed that there's a neutral position as well in addition to drive and reverse - so can anyone explain to me what effect each will have, since it's not RC I'm not sure about the effects of each mode. -

I suppose the following are printed pieces: wheel arches (2x) RS emblem (4x) Porsche emblem (steering wheel) unique laser engraved serial number The rest is all stickers, but it won't be many and most importantly it won't be big ones, except for the one in the back ... covering the engine. -

Hm ... now that I have a second look at it, could it really be printed??? I initially thought this would be a sticker because of the press release "Includes a collection of authentic stickers." Maybe LEGO means something completely different with authentic stickers, maybe there's additional stickers inside the box which you can apply if you want ... like race numbers, sponsors, etc.??? -

One thing I noticed ... why did the designer use black instead of orange parts here? Makes absolutely no sense, does it??? Should be an easy fix though ... -

I still think it's a bit of a shame that LEGO didn't made the Porsche lava orange ... would have looked even better. -

It will be available exclusively through the official LEGO Shop and LEGO Stores beginning June 1. You will find this set in regular stores beginning August 1. It's NOT limited to a certain number like 41999! -

I decided not to apply the stickers that come for the wheel arches, I mean in my opinion it looks better without them. Who agrees with me? -
What color, white I guess with pink surfboard? I've just searched on google images for california type VW Beetle, what I see makes me VERY worried ...

So why does the designer in the designers video use the yellow parts as paddles? I guess you are supposed to use the black part beneath the yellow ones with the rubber bands, right? -

Can someone confirm the review embargo date? Is there sets already being shipped to Jim, Sariel and consorts? For the regular 2H Technic sets we always get a review one month ahead of street date, in this case that would be next week. -

The building experience of 42056 will be very special, I'm sure. When is your in depth review coming Jim? -
I can get the Porsche for €240 in August from my personal brick specialist ... that's a great deal, isn't it? July - Creator Expert 10253 Big Ben August - Creator Expert 10252 Volkswagen Beetle August - Technic 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS That's it for my 2016 LEGO budget I always choose the sets I buy wisely, in my opinion these are the best sets of 2016.

Thanks ... any idea yet when we can expect the review - mid May or earlier or later? Also why the heck isn't the Porsche shown in the June store calendar that got released today? I remember someone saying it will be displayed on top and the Village on the bottom ... now the Village is on top and the Porsche nowhere ... makes me sad :( -

I have no idea about you guys ... but for me this is the best looking LEGO Technic set to date, also I believe it has indeed the most complex chassis of any supercar to date. It simply looks beautiful and the build will be very enjoyable. Can't wait for the first reviews, especially looking forward to the one from Jim -

I don't get what you all are complaining about, this is the best supercar LEGO has produced to date and let's not forget it's only the start of the #TechnicUltimate series. I'm sure there's even more amazing stuff to come in the coming years. Can't wait to have this set in my hands. -

The lego version looks a lot like this version of the GT3 RS - the color, the shape of the front end ... -

No, it's been confirmed that it's standard orange ... I mean just watch the Designer Video, it's clearly not lava orange. -

I'm still thinking ... where are the 2.704 pieces in this model??? I mean we can easily compare this to last years Arocs ... from the images we have seen so far I really can't find the 2.704 pieces I believe that's a good thing because there must be A LOT going on deep into the chassis. Also what we forget ... this car is huge, I mean really huge ... it's actually bigger than the Arocs (length 54cm) (Porsche length 57cm)! -

Is it just me or is the body work in lava orange color here? Or is it just the saturation of the image?
