  1. Ok guys, here's the designer video and looks like the BWE actually works pretty nice - you just have to use the right setup Here's the TV spot
  2. Earlier today I typed in Lego Technic at Google and first entry that popped up was "Only Today: INTERSPAR great offer - Lego Technic Tractor (Claas Xerion): € 119,00." Absolutely great deal, I just ordered mine a couple minutes ago - I was surprised that there isn't even any additional shipping costs. Not sure if I'll receive it already tomorrow, otherwise I'll have to wait for next weekend to build it. Haven't had to think any further after reading this, thanks Jim PS.: Interspar has the designer video for the Claas online ... I checked both the official LEGO Technic site plus their youtube channel, it seems to be available only at the Interspar product page for the Claas so far. I'm not sure if everyone outside of Austria can see it but if you can it's definitely worth checking out. Nice video!
  3. Jim, once you have published all the 2H 2016 set reviews ... can you give us a quick overview which set in your opinion is the best of the 2nd wave (including the Porsche)? I think of stuff like building experience, authentic/general look of the model, how good is it for display, how good is playability, etc. I believe it would help a lot in their decision - including me - which set to buy this year (especially for those who's LEGO budget is low ).
  4. ^ absolutely stunning picture Jim . (Please save them for the review!) However I can't see much of a difference, should be ok I think.
  5. Doesn't sound too positive . Do you think you will be able to publish the review today?
  6. Jim, I'm simply in with your great and outstanding clear quality pictures. I mean you even make the crane arm look great, even though I don't like its design much . Can't wait for your review, especially all the pictures! Also I'd be interested to know if you can turn the cabin manually - not using the motor at all - or do you risk to damage something by doing so? Also do you think it's easy to mod the cabin to make it less flimsy? It seems like the worst part of the tractor to me, so far I always saw the cabin going left or right when trying to turn the tractor via the HOG knob right behind it? In other news, Huw's (brickset.com) review of the Claas is live: http://brickset.com/...on-5000-trac-vc
  7. brickset.com review is live ... http://brickset.com/article/22846/review-42055-bucket-wheel-excavator
  8. I'm really hoping that next year LEGO has another 'Ultimate' labeled Technic set in the pipeline for us. But hopefully it will be really ultimate this time - for me set 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS was not ultimate at all - it lacked complex features, the price is way too high for what it offers ... it is just a huge display model but that's not the thing I want first from a Technic set. For me one of the most complex, challenging, advanced as well as fun and satisfying builds in recent years was 2015's flagship set - Mercedes Benz Arocs. It offered great looks, had great piece count and new pieces, is rather big, has lots of functions and the chassis is simply perfect ... and it is some sort of a modular build - something I definitely want to see more of! What I'm personally hoping for 2017, especially 2H 2017 is another Ultimate Technic Set - maybe a complex, fully working engine block worth 3000 pieces or a car chassis, a Land Rover would be very great or a big excavator but non of it should use power functions, I'm not a fan of it. There should be 4 2H sets just as this year. I believe the first set leaks for next year will appear properly soon, hopefully we'll see the 2H set names already just as last year.
  9. This makes me want a huge, I mean really huge (approx. 3000+ parts) excavator from LEGO as next years flagship model. speed build + review from AustrianLegoFan is live:
  10. brickset.com review is up ... thanks Huw for a great review! http://brickset.com/...ic-volvo-ew160e
  11. Main tractor doesn't look that much different at first glance ... still it's a shame they changed superb looking crane arm to this shit, honestly!
  12. I don't really get it ... Sariel should have asked the Technic designers why they changed perfect preliminary crane arm to ugly looking clusterfuck crane arm we have now?
  13. This feels like 42009 all over again (but thankfully this time it's "only" the attachment) ... what the heck did LEGO do to this amazing crane arm as seen in the preliminary model!? The final crane arm looks simply HORRIFYING compared to the preliminary one ... it was superb, what did LEGO do there!!!!???
  14. Totally agree with you my friend ... the, "but that way you can use it for MOCs" is the stuff I hear in sticker vs print discussions every single time ... for me that's nothing LEGO should consider ... if you want to use a certain part/brick for MOC reasons, buy it on Bricklink!
  15. Ha, same ... also wanted to order Volvo + Claas at valuebrick.at - we were too late. And pre-order just started yesterday morning I hope the discount prices remain for the next wave. PS.: brickstore.at should have 42055 on stock soon again. Keep an eye on it.
  16. The entire 2H wave, including the Porsche, seems to be doing extremely well ... pre-order at my local LEGO online-(fan)store just opened today and already sold out - every single set. I was too late
  17. Is there instructions and a parts list available for this modification?
  18. a really technical complex car chassis would be amazing!
  19. Ok, the first preliminary 2017 catalogue does its rounds already with first leaks (nothing from Technic so far) ... we should start Technic 2017 Discussion and Speculation thread
  20. Where can I get instructions and parts list for all those amazing modifications. Like the different steering wheel assembly block, the ackermann steering, the improved ground clearance, the improved headlights, better working gearbox with block from 4th to 1st gear, etc. ... Is there instructions available?
  21. Thanks for the short summary. Yeah, that's in line with the other reviews I've read. Seems like an exceptional great set ... best of 2016 easily.
  22. I think Claas looks best without any attachment ... I think I use the parts for the crane arm for something else. And first thing I try to mod is manual cab-turning.
  23. I wish I could read the text but I don't understand polish ... but the pictures are great. I especially love the one where chassis and bodywork is separated.
  24. On another note ... if LEGO wants to do an ultimate Technic theme ... with which they started with the Porsche set this year, they must give us ultimate stuff/building technices next time, not just a big and nice looking car with not much tech inside.
