Can someone try to mod the cabin - so it can be moved/turned manually (like the turning at the Volvo EW160E) instead of automatically - also would be nice to have a easy to activate fix that the cabin is fixed in place once you have finished manual turning. Like axles that come in place when finished?

Yes, I somewhat agree with you Bering ... for me this is also the most exciting Technic set of 2016. It's relatively cheap, has a great parts count of over 1100 pieces, is rather big in size compared to the other 2016 line-up and has the best functions too (apart from the three-steering-mode-system from the Claas). I decided that I will buy this and the Claas for 2016. The Porsche is waaaay too expensive and the Bucket Wheel Excavator looks ugly and the main function doesn't even work properly. -
What can I say ... everytime this guy (Jamie Berard) is presenting us a new model in a designers video I know it's gonna be a great model, no exception with this one. Looks very impressive!

Great, absolutely great deal ... only 219€ for such a wonderful set and over 4000 pieces!? Can barely believe it after seeing how expensive D2C sets were lately. Yes, the build will probably be repetitive most the times but that's the nature of the model, in the end it will look amazing on display and that's what counts for me.
-
It's actually the first D2C set this year that surpassed my expectations ... and I have high expectations for all D2C sets!

This looks like it might be the best non Technic set of 2016. The Creator Expert "landmark" sets never disappointed so far ... from the first images, this seems like my favorite so far.
-
Yes ... but most of us are interested in the length ... I cannot make it out of the rather small image ...
-
Wow, this looks waaaay better than expected. I might get this set after all ... also functional clock, how cool is that!? Very impressed, can't wait for the full reveal tomorrow.

I'm from Austria and I always get absolutely great discounts on new sets - I bought last years Arocs for 150€ from my personal brick specialist - I will get the Porsche for 240€ there, but of course I have to wait until August 1. -

I doubt the green one is a prototype for the current model ... it's a completely different type of Porsche ... I could really see it being released as a smaller 1H set, maybe? -

Nice! Red rims, what!? Well it looks like it's pictures from the pre-production phase since he also uses yellow shock absorbers ... Also did you guys see the green Porsche behind him? It looks like a different sort of Porsche ... could it be another, smaller Porsche set for 1H 2017? And I see the 911 GT3 RS in white -

^ I know but when the different sub-asssemblies come together it continues with the last step of each individual assembly... just have a look at the instructions again - makes it a total of 105 steps. -

Yeah, I think so too ... that's almost 2x the size from the massive Arocs building manual ... this is gonna be great! And yeah I know a lot of pages will be information around the real model. -

It still amazes me how huge this is compared to the rest of the 2H 2016 Technic sets ... it even matches the BWE ... no, it does look even bigger! Also I'm so glad it's orange, I mean I have so enough from this camouflage look, I wouldn't want to stare at it for a long time ... a neutral color like orange was definitely the best choice! -

Will it be possible to raise the whole chassis ... so that it isn't so low to the ground? I guess with a few modifications it should be no big thing? -

There's definitely front wheel suspension too - I have seen the shock absorbers on the front too, I'm 100% sure! -
