Can someone make pictures/instructions of how to place the hoses perfectly??? So that the air flows very well, that the crane moves excellent and that everything fits? Please share pictures, I want to rebuild the crane.

Hmm, I must have made a building mistake - if I use the left light for making the Arocs turn left/right everything works how it should, however if I use the right light everything works the other way round - so I turn the light to the left, the Arocs turns right - if I turn the light to the right, the Arocs turns left. I have no idea what can be made wrong here - the right light can only be connected in one way??? -

I've finished building this model on Sunday, it took me over a day to build it :) I'm not happy with the result - most functions don't work properly. 1. The stabilizers on the left and right don't move fluid, they jiggle a bit whilst moving out. 2, The crane didn't move at all at first - I thought I placed something wrong so I took it apart again and had a look again, I then figured that some of the hoses would block the gear that makes the crane move left/right - I could fix that but doesn't really help - the crane's movement is unacceptable! 3. The shovel doesn't open/close on its own - I have to push it open with my fingers, same for closing again. 4. The crane doesn't seem to have enoug power, if I extend the last part it gets down a bit, after a few seconds it gets pumped up again. 5. When driving straight the front tyres will eventually turn a bit to either the left or right - it doesn't stay straight when pushing the truck forward for me. Also I'm worried that I ruined the stabilizers - I lifted them up (unlike shown in pictures) - I lifted them up to the very end - then on the other side it made a very loud noise and I was unable to do it there. I guess it was too heavy. I'm worried that sth is damaged there now, should I be worried???? All in all nothing moves perfect in this model - the thousand hoses put in such little space is unacceptable! I either have made mistakes in the build or it simply isn't better :( -

I'm from Austria and pre-ordered the Mercedes Benz Arocs for 155 EUR. In the meantime it's 200 EUR again, I was lucky to pre-order early enough :) -
Why do we have to wait another year for the next one ... I'm crying I can't get enough of these cars, hopefully LEGO keeps them coming for a loooooot of years!

I think a rally car for a break would be nice - McLaren F1 seems like a logical car for LEGO to recreate but we just got a supercar, let's wait till 2017 for the next one. I thought some of you might like this ... If someone wants a much bigger version of this, just PM me :)

Most enjoyable build of the three. 1. Ferrari F40 2. VW T1 Camper Van 3. Mini Cooper Which car is the least recognizable being made of LEGO bricks. 1. Mini Cooper - the smooth look of this still amazes me, it is almost not recognizable as a LEGO set 2. Ferrari F40 / VW T1 Camper Van Most advanced and uncommon building technices used. 1. Ferrari F40 2. VW T1 Camper Van 3. Mini Cooper Most hatted model for its extensive use of stickers. 1. Ferrari F40 - there should have been a way to get around using those black stickers (x4) in front of the car :( Wish for next years iconic car recreated with LEGO bricks. Audi Quattro Sport S1 - but with printed only pieces!

Let me just share this ... should make it on top of post #1 of this thread. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52825420/1510616021543885366.jpg

I have to agree with you. But I have no choice, I must buy it to have the entire collection (T1 Camper Van, Mini Cooper, F40) comple - there's no way back now :) Also I've already pre-ordered the Arocs. It's available for 155 € here in Austria (only at one/two shops) instead of 200 €. Great deal!
-
ok, too bad ... But I'll have to buy this set nonetheless - I will post a picture with all three together then :)

Great review Sariel! One question. Could you publish a picture or more with all three cars together, so the VW T1 Camper Van, the Mini Cooper and the F40? That'd be amazing.

Can't wait for your review on the Crawler Crane, any idea when it'll be finished? -
Did someone else notice how in the LEGO 3D catalogue app - in the Technic section - there's a promo picture of the 42043 Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 without the crane arm? Is it a mistake from LEGO or is it on purpose?

Great speed build and impressions, the 42042 Crawler Crane looks fantastic. However I still prefer the 42043 Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 ... in the end I may end up getting all 3 LEGO Technic 2h 2015 sets. LEGO did an amazing job with the Technic line-up this year! -

That's not what I've been asking for ... what I'm waiting for is a proper review from Sariel (video-review) and a proper review from Jim (written review). Make it happen, please! I've seen that, still it's not the quality of a review I want, we already got one for the Fireplane as well as for the Mercedes Benz Arocs from Sariel ... so what's the deal with the Crawler Crane??? -

Sariel, am I missing sth? Where's the Crawler Crane review??? Where are the Crawler Crane reviews at all?????? I don't seem to find them. -
What's the loud sound when e.g. you raise the tipping bed, etc. - it's funny because when it appears everyone tries to turn off the battery box asap - I'm worried that it might destroy some parts inside the built vehicle??? Example: I first recognized this thing with the LEGO Technic Cargo Plane 42025 - it happens there when you open/close the cargo bay area at the rear or at the front - first I thought I had built sth wrong but seems like it's like that? Can someone explain to me what's happening inside when this sound appears and why can't LEGO stop this? I won't even use the features because I fear that when this sound appears sth might get damaged. @Jim Will you also publish a written review like this for the Crawler Crane 42042? I'm waiting for a review on the Crawler Crane for days now.

Incredible work on that review Jim. I appreciate all the effort put into this ... for an unbelievable set. For me the best LEGO Technic set to date. Can't wait for August. Thanks Jim!
