  1. What's wrong with the colors, they are wonderful ... bright, modern, I love it!
  2. You're welcome ... May 13-31: VIPs get Early Access to a new Exclusive LEGO set!
  3. If a LEGO set is not something I'd put on display and enjoy staring at it for hours, then it's definitely not something I'm willing to buy. I mainly buy LEGO Creator Expert sets, including the recent car series (VW T1 Camper Van, Mini Cooper, this years Ferrari F40, etc.), some Technic sets and that's it. Sets like the VW T1 Camper Van, the Mini Cooper, the new Ferris Wheel, the Sopwith Camel, the upcoming (I can't wait for that!) Ferrari F40, etc. are definitely sets for grown-ups and adults like me. It's something I want and it's something I'll buy, no matter what. Keep up the amazing work LEGO, keep up the amazing work LEGO Creator Expert department!
  4. Now the one thing that I'm really missing with this set is the use of glow-in-the-dark pieces like they did with the Fairground Mixer.
  5. Actually I loved the color scheme of this set from the very first time I saw it. It has a very nice, modern look and I love the transparent parts!
  6. I've edited the piece count. It's from 1150 to 1500. I didn't know the VW camper only had over 1300 pieces and that the Mini Cooper had only a bit over 1000 pieces. Given that we should expect the Ferrari F40 to have around 1150 to 1500 pieces. It will be scaled to fit with the VW camper and the Mini Cooper ... so don't expect much more pieces than this. I'm sure this will be an amazing set, I can't wait for it. minifigure??? no, that's not gonna happen.
  7. I'm afraid we'll have to wait until the end of May, so around the time when the July LEGO store calendar will be available - for our first glimpse on this amazing set, the 10248 Ferrari F40. This has to feature pop-up headlights, the iconic red from Ferrari, preferably no stickers (hopefully it's all printed parts, especially when it comes to the Ferrari logo) and I'd suggest a piece count of approximately 1150-1500.
  8. Let's compare it to the 4957 Creator Ferris Wheel from 2007 The new one looks so much better and clean.
  9. This set is amazing ... also happy that it's 'only' 179.99 € which makes my decision of buying it even more easy. Also could someone please rename the topic with an appropriate title that actually makes sense? I'm suggesting 10247 Ferris Wheel
  10. From the high resolution pictures over at brickset.com it looks to me that the KWIK and MART is printed pieces as well as the rest apart from where Bart is located. So all the items inside the Kwik-E-Mart seem to be printed pieces as well, am I right with that? That would definitely justify the price of 200 € and make up for missing 2x2 tiles on the floor.
  11. This set is amazing but one thing really annoys me. Why couldn't TLG use 2x2 colorful tiles for the floor instead of this ugly looking dark-grey plates? It destroys the whole look of the interior of the Kwik-E-Mart, at least for me. I think if this set really costs 200 € TLG must have made the floor out of 2x2 tiles. I mean the Simpsons House had over 2500 pcs while this has over 2100, so roughly 400 less for the same price? 2x2 tiles would easily make the pcs count bigger and justify the price of 200 €. Also is the Kwik and Mart printed pieces or just stickers?
  12. We'll have to wait till the end of April or even longer for the Ferrari F40 to appear on the LEGO store calendar. The Ferrari is scheduled for June (VIP release) I think.
  13. Is there something I need to know?
  14. The Kwik and Mart portions could also be printed pieces. I so hope it's printed pieces, would be really annoyed to see TLG using stickers for important stuff like that. Other than that an absolutely amazing set. I like this more than the Simpsons House. I somehow think that the Simpsons House would've been better if they didn't make the desicion that you can open it up in the middle. Why not removing the floors instead like with the Modular buildings? That's the reason why the Simpsons House has so many walls (which makes the entire house look small from the inside), to make the roof pieces fit on every room. If they did removable floors there'd be way more room inside. Just my opinion but thank god the Kwik-E-Mart has an accessable roof instead!
  15. That's definitely the Kwik-E-Mart! Over at The Brick Fan they said the following: So the official reveal is only a few weeks away from us, VIP members can purchase it beginning with April 15th and for the rest it becomes available May 1st. I can't wait for it, this is going to be a great set and will look great next to the Simpsons House.
  16. I'm not too sure about that, TLG might go with the VW T1 Camper Van and the Mini Cooper scale for the Ferrari F40. I just hope it turns out to be an amazing build with the same effort as it was done with the previous Creator Expert cars. Hoping for some functions too, like pop-up headlights for example :)
  17. This, please TLG make it happen!
  18. The B model looks solid but in the end I would never build it over the A model. For me the B model of the Crawler Crane is way more interesting. I wonder what the B model of the Fire Plane will be, any suggestions?
  19. If everything goes as planned - I'm sure it will - we should have our very first "leaked" picture of the Kwik-E-Mart at the end of next week or the first week of March at the very latest. I can't wait, this is a must have for me, just as it was the Simpsons House last year. However I skip the CMF series because it's simply too expensive for me. Update: Hm, I think I messed up with the information above. Normally we get a leaked picture of the monthly LEGO store calendar at the end of every month. So we got to see the February 2015 calendar on December 30, the March 2015 calendar on January 31. Now we should get to see the April 2015 calendar on February 28. I thought that we'd see our first picture of the Kwik-E-Mart on that calendar but I just remembered that the UCS Helicarrier was not seen on the February calendar but on the March calendar where it's available for everyone, not just for the VIP members. So I guess we'll have to wait until the end of March to see our first picture of the Kwik-E-Mart :(
  20. The Mercedes Benz Arocs and the Crawler Crane aren't on display at the New York Toy Fair. Isn't that a bit strange? From brickset.com
  21. Great video, this confirms everything we've been asking for. doors can be opened 6 cylinders pneumatic system v2 works very smooth he finally showed all functions of the crane arm All in all best LEGO Technic set in years! Great job.
  22. Hm, why does it say 999 pcs here? Wasn't it just over 500 originally? The box is obviously not finalized since it's missing the stickers, etc. but why is the piece count different this time?
