Well if todays price rumor has any credibility to it (and I think it has) and if we take a look at the recent NZD/EUR relation for the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ (which will come out in 2016 and includes additional license costs) it should become clear that - again solely based on credibility of todays rumor of $699 NZD price - 1. this set is gonna be massive in piece count, scale, looks, functions, etc. and 2. it's the start of LEGO Technic UCS. I still hope for a Technic/Creator Expert crossover with this 'Ultimate IP Car'. Also at that price point - NO stickers allowed!!!

Well this looks ugly - just my opinion - the only good thing about this set are the tumbler tires it seems. Back the the 'Ultimate IP Car' - at a price point of EUR 450 this set has to be massive, both in size and piece count. I had a thought, maybe a crazy one but surely a great one. What if LEGO did a Technic/Creator Expert crossover with this ultimate IP car? The chassis, including engine, suspension, steering, RC functions, etc. is the Technic part, bodywork and accurate looks of the car are the Creator Expert section (see Ferrari F40, Mini Cooper, T1 Camper Van). I think that would be amazing, who agrees?

Ok, judging by the LEGO 75827 Firehouse Headquarters - $599 NZD equals EUR 349 - let's not forget this includes license costs already. That would mean the 'Ultimate IP Car' costs around EUR 450? and the BWE around EUR 250? Wow, the 'Ultimate IP Car' sure seems like THE ultimate UCS set, I like it :) Now the big question remains ... the manufacturer and the piece count. Off topic - judging by those prices the 10253 LEGO Creator Expert Big Ben landmark set will cost EUR 250. 2016 is probably going to be the most expensive year in LEGO history for me. Let's not forget there's still a lot more/yet announced D2C sets coming all throughout 2016.

Of course it's bigger than minifig scale - it's a Creator Expert landmark set just like the Sydney Opera House or the Tower Bridge ... I'm very excited for it and as you said, the bigger the better! At a price tag of EUR 300 it must offer a looot of pieces!

New 2016 set rumors appeared on thebrickfan.com today, this includes Technic. LEGO TECHNIC fans also get in on the fun with a Bucket Wheel Excavator (42055) that goes for $499 NZD. There’s also another TECHNIC set named “Ultimate Vehicle” which goes for $699 NZD. I’m not sure if that’s the final name of it or not but that’s what I was told. That would mean the 'Ultimate IP Car' costs around EUR 400 - AMAZING, I see Technic UCS coming :)

The 2H flagship will be the Ultimate IP Car and this will cost € 300.

I just hope that this doesn't open like the LEGO Simpsons House does - it would ruin the set for me. I want it to open like this The thing is, if it opens like the Simpsons House it would ruin playability for me as well as display value - I still hate the Simpsons House for the way it opens and therefore destroys the entire set. Hopefully it opens as in the video above.

I have no idea how to afford all the great LEGO sets anymore ... there are so many on my to-buy list at the moment. I better start saving now - but at the same time I don't really know where I have the place to display all these sets combined with the ones I already own.

So when can we expect the official press release, including a designer video?

This will be the 3rd biggest LEGO set to date! Can't wait to see the interior, will the official press release and maybe the designer video come today?

The go-kart is my favorite of 1H 2016 followed by the dragster and the display team jet.
