  1. Wow, that's a beautiful dump truck. Madoca is very, very skilled. TLG: hire this person already! Can't find photo instructions for it on his G+ account, shame.
  2. I was referring to your first post in this topic I managed to find 2 new (!) red technic pulley wheels at Brickowl! I've also decided to not install the 95 1x7 thin LBG liftarms on the tracks, as I've only got 10 odd or so of those, and they're not exactly cheap, amounting to around 40 EUR in total if I were to buy them. Wasn't planning on field testing the groomer in real snow anyway I will also use 8 black large sprockets in the center of the undercarriage instead of yellow ones, as I've only got 8 of the yellow sprockets, and further ones are also quite expensive to buy from BL. I'm curious to see how this beast performs. Will probably behave similar to the mighty 8275.
  3. Nice lines, I like it. How does it perform? Did you shoot a video? Also, are you able to maintain a steady RC connection if you hide away your IR receivers under the trunk?
  4. Agreed, I was thinking TLG was going to phase it out and rely on L motors/pairs of L motors from now on. XL motors just add a bit more badassness to models I think this set is going to be worth buying just for the motors + new parts alone
  5. True, but a change from M to XL is less radical (at least, you'd need different gear reduction and a bit more space) than replacing/inserting a servo motor. Oh well, the Nürnberg toy fair is here in less than 2 weeks.
  6. True, but I doubt that TLG is going to change the motor configuration between now and release Would require a massive amount of changes. Still, yes, I'm also curious to see the SV control the steering.
  7. Alright, fair enough. Don't be surprised if it turns out that motor configuration is correct, though.
  8. The motor configuration of 2 L, 1 XL, 1 SV has been confirmed twice.
  9. Blakbird bumped a 3 year old topic so I guess I'll follow suit :D I finally got all pieces together to build the epic Leitwolf of Han (minus 2 red technic pulley wheels, grrrr.. impossible to get), will post a shortish review when I'm done.
  10. If you can find 8043 cheap, go get it. Best Technic set of the past decade.
  11. Yep, I've also bought a lot of the new stuff. Especially the new blue technic panels are cheap.
  12. That's easy. Sheepo's Mustang. Hence, I agree with the notion to have a 'upcoming talent' prize or something like that. There's just no competing with the likes of Sheepo for us newbies!
  13. Yes, really. It was a fun build, looks good, and the tilting functionality is very clever. Could have done with a clutch gear though.
  14. Scour eBay or other auction sites for used 8466 sets, that's how I get my four. Cheap, too.
  15. Once is enough I think But yeah, beautiful model. Wish Nathanaël would make more original MOC's, he's a really talented builder.
  16. Well I've had bad experience taking off stickers in the past.. lots of glue residue sticking to the parts, which is almost impossible to get off quickly. Maybe nowadays they use a better glue formula.
  17. Just wondering Sariel, what do you think of the cargo plane without the stickers applied? Won't it look very plain? I detest stickers, and never apply them.
  18. Just finished building 8052 - it's pretty damn good as well! Much better cab design than, say, 42008 and 42024. I also like the container tilting functionality.
  19. Ah yes, I see it now. Very impressive work.
  20. What kind of panel is used for the middle section of the drum?
  21. Just download the supplied Brickstore inventory, and upload that as parts list for a private MOC @ Rebrickable. Then you can check if you have the parts required.
  22. Yep, go get it people :) Note that there is an RC and a manual version, make sure to buy the correct one. I'm only two parts short
  23. I'm actually considering making an ultimate 42025, which I could enter I guess . I first need to find a shop that sells 42025 parts though, I'm not going to buy a second one ...
