  1. Just got back from the store in Watford, UK. Really pleased with the selection. Especially the 1x3 light blue grey bricks, grabbed 2 cups of just those alone.
  2. Brilliant Vincent. I saw the LDD images on Flickr, looks really good in real bricks.
  3. I am not sure if Skylights would have been included in such a building given the aim of keeping costs low. I added them to shed some light on the interior. It was definitely fun to build.
  4. I actually built his MOC towards the end of the summer, but I have only just found the time to document it. It is a small building built to the Usonian Style. The Usonian Style House was first designed in mid thirties by American Architect Frank Llloyd Wright. They were designed to control costs during the economic depression, Wrights Usonian houses had no attics, no basements, little ornamentation and utilised open plan living. I hope you like my attempt, more images on my Flickr. 5. Sainvurys have reduced Simpsons Minifugures further. It's now £5 for 5! Bought 20, still missing 4. Typical.
  6. Brilliant, love the alleyway and the build, especially that staircase. I think I like non 16/32 wide modular more as they add variety. I am just working on a 22 wide, that leaves 10 studs on the baseplate for a smaller building.
  7. The issue I have found is the same as you mentioned, the non existent colours. In light of this, I am making some subs, which is a shame as i liked the colour scheme. I am also using thr builings from the video game as my subject matter, as they are slightly different to those shown in the movie. I am impressed with how quickly you seem to turn these out, I have spent about 12hours in LDD so far and i'd say its 1/2 complete.
  8. I started on a Bricksburg Apartment building yesterday. It's till in LDD but I will be building it. I couldn't find anyone else that had undertaking the task, until now. Lovely images.
  9. Sainsburys have 2 for £3 on Simpsons Minifigures. Just bought £30 worth in Sainsburys Farnborough. That's 71009
  10. OUTSTANDING! I love the farm vehicles, amazing. Followed!
  11. Hmm about 1500 I think. I am away working at the moment but when I am home I'll check the LDD file I made.
  12. I am one of the happy few. Missed out on the first. Looking forward to picking it up.
  13. Yup it's the build from the Pet Shop as above.
  14. Having recently taken inspiration from SearchFunction's 'Living Small' builds, I have finally gotten around to finishing this MOC. It has been rebuilt a few times, reducing the size to try and get the scale right. I would be more happy with more detail on the interior but I am signing this off as finished, so I can move on to my next project. I present to you a Bungalow with Dormer. Currently resided in by Dave the Flower Cart seller. This building comprises of an enterance hall with stairs to the first floor. On the gorund floor, a spacious and well equipt kitchen leads you to the light and very large 'lounge diner', complete with french doors to the garden, bay window to the front, fireplace and an inviting bay window seat. Upstairs we have the large master suite, which has its own sizeable ensuite bathroom. It took me ages to get the roof to sit correctly. It is largely based on SearchFunctions plate design, however i have added some 2x2 tiles to try and get that slate roof effect. I did have skylights in one version of the second floor but it didnt give me much room to work with so I went with the dormers instead. Planning out the top floor was very tricky due to where the stairs came up and not eating into the bedroom too much with unnessecary walls and corridors. With regards to the large amount of Tan... this is what happens when you buy the Tower Bridge as your first set for building mocs with. Hey ho, it doesnt look too bad, Struggled with detailing the exterior, hopefully the next one will be better right? There are more pictures on my Flickr account. C&C always welcome and thats again to SearchFunction for the inspiration. 15. LEGO Store in Watford, UK was stocking 2x2 tan and light grey tiles the other week. I got a lot of those!
  16. Brilliant idea and the cars look good. Thanks for the ldd file, I'll download and have a play.
  17. Actually SearchFunction I love your Living Small buildings and I have taken much inspiration from them, especially the scale - So thank you for that! Here is the current build of the roof on the Chalet Bungalow I am building, it been rebuilt so many times even my wife is asking why I haven't finished it yet. :) Apologies its a phone picture. 18. I have a question. I really enjoying building minifigure scale houses, however I always hit a bit of a brick wall (boom boom) when I get to the roof. I have tried with plates and tiles - looks good, but corners etc can be complicated. I also like the regular Roof Tile bricks that Creator houses are built with, they are certainly easier to get around corners and build more complex roof structures with. My question is: Is using the standard Roof Tile (Sloping Brick) considered a bit basic for a build of any detail? Interested in your opinions! Cheers
  19. Just wow. Now I am looking at my current house build and thinking I need to start again. Brilliant, thanks for sharing it us.
  20. So much goodness and detail. I REALLY like the corn field, its very organic looking and real. Brilliant work.
  21. Welcome to EB! That is one awesome MOC. I totally love the staircase and agree with the comments above, the sense of space is perfect. Mega droolage!
  22. Love it Nemo, especially that tractor unit.
  23. Finally got my first PAB cups. Horrible drive to LEGO store in Watford, UK. 80 mile round trip took me 4 hours due to traffic. Anyway, I think it was worth it. I filled two cups and used my VIP points to pay, so it only cost me £3.98 :) When I got home I calculated PAB web cost of my haul and I was amazed at how much I had picked up. The cost online for the contents of my 2 cups was £120!! Now I can see why these are such great value. How often do the PAB walls normally get rotated stock?
  24. Stunning. I'd buy this as a set its a beauty. Excellent work my friend. Love the curved awning and the Bar, amongst many things!
  25. Lankygit
