  1. Yes! It's all part of the latest 'RC/Power Functions' rails. They all have those snap-locks to interconnect.
  2. On a note: The Flextracks is mostly the worst tracks, as their tracksion is much worse that the normal tracks, du to the 'air' so they can flex.. Avoid them, if at all possible.
  3. Hi All, Back in february I started to work with LEGO trains again, after many years. One thing I wanted, was to see if I could make a train wagon to transport the Shuttles (set 10231) orange tank! I don't have any Maersk trains or anything like it, but anyway, the build started. So, after some trials and errors, I ended up with this design: IMG_0502 by Marook, on Flickr It's basically two ends with a long rod inbetween, normally seen on some huge trucks with special transport (like windmill parts etc..) The end looks like this, up close: IMG_0503 by Marook, on Flickr And here is the middle facing side: IMG_0504 by Marook, on Flickr Loaded, it looks like this: IMG_0505 by Marook, on Flickr IMG_0507 by Marook, on Flickr As far as I could meassure, it's 47 studs long without the tank loaded. I still need something to fix the tank during transport, but it's actually quite stable, and runs LEGO curves fine.. Hope you like it..
  4. Hi. All LEGO tracks that are 6 'studs' wide should work just fine. (8 studs with the 'ballast')
  5. Ah, ok, so they are just put on these technic-plates then?
  6. I spotted that you don't use magnet connecters - what is the technic used?
  7. Absolutely amasing cool job!
  8. No, that one I did not come bye - but it also requires that I cut some old tracks. That is what I'm using now, although the side plates has to be tiles if you run trains with the buffer plow, or it might touch the studs! But I guess, it I can use ME Models tracks, then I can also use these connectors.. And to be honest, anything that can eliminate flex track seqments, is better! Damn, they are bad..
  9. Look again! It's a custom mold, not flex tracks! Flex tracks does not have 2/3 height at the side or a stud after the track join ;-)
  10. And yet, the world record for longest LEGO train track, is made with blue tracks! :-)
  11. The thing is: what is a good sales record? Compared to what? Do they sell x100 of the Star Wars Exclusive sets?? Or the Batman tumbler car? Or the Maersk Trible-E? It would be interesting to see som comparisons.. though that's probably hard to get at.. ;-)
  12. Hi All, I have some old rails from the 12v era, and wanted to use them with all my new PF train tracks. Looking at the net, I found a solution with some plates and SNOT technics, but this seems like a much cleaner solution': http://www.ebay.com/...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Just ordered 4 to test them out, anyone else have these??
  13. Ah, didn't remember that.. Thanks!
  14. Wow, really great job there! Nice to see some danish trains :-) PS: On a web-technical note, the lego-pictures in PNG are 3x the file size of the first JPG.. and even though I'm currently in a high-tech hotel in Dubai, it took 10 minutes to get the PNG's and 1 min for the JPG.. Slow server at 'staticflicr.com' contra blogspot or file sizes ??
  15. Ok, thanks. Mine does not power off by itself.. so guess the timer is broken.. :-/
  16. Cool, great build! How did you do the technic behind the 'forklift' loading the train in the video??
  17. AWESOME! :-)
  18. I'm intersted in the technic that makes it move. I've seen a few versions, and would ilke to make one. As I have some of the older 12V rails, I'm considering using them as the basis, at least on the turntable itself, as they end cleanly at 1 stud. I even have some broken ones, that could be fitted..
  19. Looking good. Any design secrets to share about the turntable? ;-) Considering to build one..
  20. Managed to moc it up in LDD: Here is the LXF file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10320890/LEGO/Camera%20Rig.lxf Add wheels as needed.. ;-)
  21. Wow, great work! Thanks!
  22. I need to save up some $ for another SBrick for control (hate the IR..) and PF parts first, but will have to make it work at some point.. :-)
  23. Oh, thanks! It's a MOD of the MOD in RainBriks v7, as noted here: #24
  24. Well, I was going for the look down the roofs of a long train. It also gives brain time to prepare for the turns, so they don't seem that hard, I think. But yeah, there is some challenges with high-mounted cameras.. ;-)
