Bionicle G1: Best: The original Hau just screams Bionicle to me. Worst: Can't say I hated any, but some of my least favorites would be the 08' Kakama, Bitil's mask, and Berix's helmet on Ackar. HF Best: Either Furno or Stringer's 1.0, also Rocka's Breakout and Stormer 2.0's for dat Kopaka vibe. Worst: All of the 3.0's except Stormer's, not big on animal themed heads. Also Bruizer's Forever Alone face. Bionicle G2 Best: The Mask of Fire! Worst: The Mask of Stone, too wide at the temple unlike the original Kakama(which I adore).

I actually think Umarak's bow has the potential to be a decent melee weapon lore-wise depending on his strength and the durability of the bow. Also, don't forget his secondary which actually is a melee weapon.

I'm a little worried about how well the swivel function works, especially on Umarak. Looking at the pics again it seems the torso armor will easily obstruct it's degree of motion. But then again how much swivel do we actually need.

People might have noticed this before but do the titles of the Toa sound alike to their G1 counterparts? I know people have pointed out Mata/Master, but now Nuva/Uniter sounds kind of similar. I guess it's just the 'U' in each throwing me off, who knows. And I'm really curious if that Tahu/Ikir carving is more then just a teaser into 2016. Is this part of the prophecy? If so what significance are the Creatures? Where are the carvings that predict the inevitable 2017 Toa?

Huh, I'm... kind of at war with myself over this. On the one hand it's still got a simple look to it, on the other hand it is more set accurate? It's kind of under my expectations, which is disappointing, but at the same time I'm relieved. I think I'll adjust to it, but I want the storytelling to be more in depth then what we've already got. Edit: At first I thought the title WAS 'Gathering of the Tor', lol. And I think it's growing on me, except Tahu looks kind of small, and the smoothness of Onua's shoulder armor is bothering me, but Gali looks pretty damn fine.

I'm hopeful that this year's story gets more drawn out in the Netflix series. Might explain how rushed these got. I wonder what significance the crystals will be since those are the only thing from 2016, other then the MoCo, shown here. All of the Toa have it so idk.

You know, the elemental "hair" is really growing on me. It's at least something we haven't seen in neither G1 or G2 and doesn't seem to take away from the masks at all, in my opinion. Also, Lewa's mask looks like Inika Kongu's to me.

Looks like that gold MoCr is going to be in a contest. Design your own mask, I might even give this a try if it's official, seeing as how I end up making crappy custom Technic masks and heads for my characters.

So Netflix pretty much confirmed the series(as if we didn't know) on Twitter. Aaaaaand old news. You know, we still don't know how long each episode could actually be. We may be getting hour long one's or so, which would be nice. 2 hours of the 2015 story, or 90 minutes. Then another for the 2016 story.

Yikes, that seems a little excessive. I think it's safe to say we're getting new torso pieces next year(I like stating the obvious). I do hope, whatever it is, that it has friction. Although it's been awhile since I've had them assembled, I don't think I had too terribly a hard time posing my Rahkshi, Vahki, or Krekka...

I never really liked the Tinsletown HF episodes(they were the one's that made them right?), even though I liked TLR. I wouldn't necessarily mind a more stylized 2D animation, I just hope it's not exactly like the webisodes this year. But now that I think about it, I'll take anything as long as there are multiple voice actors. And can we please get the gender roles right, TLG? And the slap in the face would be when they swap characters personalities again, Lewa the hotheaded leader, Tahu the cold and mysterious, Gali the brute, Kopaka the Australian, Pohatu the one who they never have do anything, and Onua the one who can fly. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating that I bit, but never forget Nex and Evo.

Day one purchases for me will probably be Tahu, Kopaka, Lewa, Umarak, Ikir, and Uxar. Actually, think I might get Pohatu as well, but he needs Ketar to go with him so I'll add those two. Also, Onua looks pretty good so I guess him and Terak will be in the cart... okay put Gali and Akida there also. Yup, I have no self control.

I just realized, even if the Creatures are single characters it's still possible they're each from different species. Maybe Creature of Fire, Creature of etc. is going to be the title for the sets and we will get actual names for the species in the books and what have you. Maybe Terak and Melum are both of the same species but in different regions? Good excuse for a bad design choice.

This should be something everyone on this forum can contribute to, be it Slizers, Roboriders, Bionicle, Hero Factory, or anything else related to the best customizable and buildable action figures out there, what is/are your favorite Constraction boxart/s? I would say a decent number of the Mata canister art, maybe it's the nostalgia. The one's that strike me are Tahu's, Gali's, and Lewa's. I especially love the backround environment on Gali's.

I'm just glad Kopaka has a nice weapon this time around, he's probably my second or third favorites this year, Tahu being my first(haters going to hate, but Tahu's my boy). Gali seems the most generic which is a shame, seeing as how she was my second or third favorite this year, but I also didn't think I'd like her as much as I do this year so maybe her 2016 form will follow the same path. Just seems she has a really weak weapon, along with Pohatu. At least Tahu, Lewa, and Kopaka use the new blade in a more unique way. Speaking of which, Kopaka's sword is gold/trans in the combiner pic, but on the box it's completely gold, along with the Kopaka-Melum-Combo box pic. Wonder what it will be. Also, I hope the torso function will have friction.

Hm, when they said they had Bionicle planned for three years, did they mean exactly three years? Or are they just going to give us half of a year in 2017? XD Anyways, maybe this should be a general wishlist topic? We already know what one wave of one of the Constraction(there's two right?) themes is but eventually people are going to want a 2017 wishlist. But then again I guess we can just make a new one then, eh. But I'll submit this anyways; What do you all want out of a large box set in the final wave? A twin pack? Super large Makuta? Triple pack?? Triple pack with a super large Makuta??!

I'm a little bummed that it appears the bear traps don't come with the larger sets. Could be wrong but they show the extra masks the Uniters contain, but not the extra bear trap, unless the ones between Uniters and Creatures is suppose to show it's included in both. Only bummed because of how awesome they are, I really thought the designers would've had a hard time figuring out another decent "battle in a box" gimmick, guess I was wrong. Also I think the standard Uniter's masks will keep the trans clear(I suck at color terms) as it looks like the gold masks will have a respective trans blend.

But what's stating CCBS is more visually appealing then G1 Bio? Using video game graphics as an example is so and so because the most common definition of 'good' is based on how realistic they look, other then that it's personal taste. Maybe many 8th gen games look better realistically then 7th gen, no argument there, but maybe someone prefers cell-shading and others don't, no argument here either. Nothing is saying CCBS is better then OGBio other then taste. But I understand what you mean by how 'others' might like CCBS more now that they're introduced to it, but neither system is superior in terms of design other then solely personal opinion. Edit: I derailed this topic, especially since there's a topic I Created for these discussions. Sorry, everybody.

No problem, I thought people might get confused by my statement. Also I forgot to count some other additions that are hidden on his leg/legs, but still I don't think the legs combined grant more then 50 pieces. Are people even noticing Umarak's holstered melee weapon on his left leg? Looks like a Skull villain blade.
