I'm curious as to how the Creature's heads are connected to the Toa's. Not sure if this was brought up yet or not.

Right, but I'm talking 30 €/$ or larger, here. But even then they'll most likely use some sort of CCBS build for stability, idk. :P

So, for the sake of not knowing how large Umarak's summer form will be, I've just gotta ask, are those technic pistons that were used for support still in production? I know they haven't used them in Constraction since Witch Doctor, but maybe Technic sets have been using them(I only keep tabs on Bionicle)?

The scenery looks almost like one of those described "suspended islands", I'm just curious why on two of the retailer catalogue pictures the sets are promoted in a fire-like region.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it I'm drawing comparisons of G1 and G2 with this whole legendary-mask hunt thing they've got going on this year and next year. Kind of reminds me of 2006 and 07', a set of Toa characters, a couple of groups of villains, all hunting for powerful masks. Did the Piraka and Barraki work for any higher ups? I can't remember :s

You know, Kopaka/Melum combo kind of gives Kopaka a bundled up look like he was this year. Which is great in my opinion as I was kind of torn between liking and disliking that design choice this year. On one hand it's a clever idea, giving him a metallic coat or whatever, on the other it takes away how agile I figured he would be. Now in 2016, I can have both! The more combat ready form of Kopaka, and then the "Melum-I'm-Going-To-Kill-You-And-Wear-You-For-Warmth-And-Cry-About-It-Later" Kopaka. :D Which brings me to Onua. What exactly is his combo? Just extra armor? Won't Terak's claws clash(physically) with the ribcage pieces?

I love G1 but even I think it's too complicated to tie in with G2, especially considering how 'simple' it's been so far. I'd appreciate bringing in more subjects from G1, but obviously they can do that without it being too complex, like what they did with the characters and such. Though now that I think about it I'd be a little upset that they didn't explore Okoto more. I loved that way the island was set out in all of it's Slizer-Planet-esque design, and these pieces of monthly concept art(those floating rock structures in Stone for example). Maybe the 2017 showdown will happen on Mata Nui. Maybe even full on remakes of the 2001 sets.

Tahu, my baby. Totally not minding that gold anymore. Also it looks like his swords connect. Edit #2- Gali's asymmetry just corrected itself with my appeal now drawn closer... still meh about how similar her and Pohatu's weapons are. Also, I see in the future a set with titan-size-leg support using those new armor pieces from Tahu's thighs/Kopaka's shins/Creature torso/slash. I think 2016 will be a mighty fine year, ladies and gentlemen. -_o

Nobody told me he had dark blue arms! I wonder if that hints to some darker colors in the summer, kind of odd that he only has two pieces in that color. I swear I thought they were gunmetal.

Man, all of this talk of Teridax is making me realize how in 2010 they relied more on the story and less on the sets to conclude G1.

Well, maybe Skull Basher should've been a 20 $/€ set... That might have caused a problem for his function's usefulness though.

How did you envision Mata Nui before 2009?

I think I started out in 2008 thinking he was Toa Ignika, later on only as a spirit. Funny thing is that Michael Dorn voiced him pretty much exactly the way I imagined his voice. Of course prior to that, around January or February 2009 I had seen the first leaks and thought his canister set was gold. :/ Though the Keetorange looks great on him, imo. But you know... gold... Also from 01-07ish I never put much thought towards it. -
@Aanchir @lambda Yes indeed, one of the two or three pros of stickers would be that model-kit feel they give off. But let's not resort to painting, the Heavens know how many Gundams and Constraction pieces I've ruined with my painting skills. Speaking of which, I think people tend to forget about Cybots(?). The, eh, first pitch at the idea of Constraction, I believe. I think Faber posted an information sheet which actually stated that consumers could order pieces with painting in mind, like un-colored or whatever.

Yeah, where was Mata Nui's sword in his canister form? Even his Titan form didn't have the right sword... Kind of reversed the what's canon there but whatever. And does nobody role-play with their figures anymore? Maybe TLG is just supplying the support for imagination in a kid/teen/adult's own headcanon.

My problem with stickers is that if I place them on, and they're slightly uneven it's a pain taking them off and re-applying them. Though something about the sticker usage in Exo Force just seemed so *waves hands around* Magical.

Very nice rendition of his original form, especially love the use of those Slizer arm/Mata hands on the shoulders giving the feel of the black connector pieces. And I agree on the torso as well, very unique.
