  1. On the Italian section of Lego Shop it is €219,99: still overpriced. Beside why prices vary so much between European Union countries is a mystery to me. They are also shipped from the same warehouse. I thought it had something to do with taxes etc but I doubt here in Italy taxes are lower lol
  2. The wonderful thing is the Galaxy Trooper Minifiugure is not only a great army build on its own but it is also an amazing addition to any Galaxy Squad army or collection. Same style/design, same logos
  3. So printing mistake in the instructions or simply "bad angle" of the instructions' photo. Anyway, thank you for the info. I have still to decide whether buying the Helicarrier or using that money to buy a good number of the incoming Marvel sets
  4. Don't worry too much about the "names matter" I run into very long articles about that Minifigure and honestly it is not a very important thing, collection-wise. If you are interested I remember in the end the general consensus is Darth Marr has a different, even though similar, armor and that character is just a Sith Warrior. If you want my opinion use it to represent whoever you wish. It's your collection and you really want a Darth Marr, then he is Darth Marr I missed the Revan Minifigure since it was released during my absence from the hobby. I always wondered if it would be worth to buy it from some online seller. Anyway congratulations again for your brilliant display
  5. Yesterday I order 75086 Battle Droid Troop Carrier. I'm very curious about it I've never been a huge fan of Droid armies but since recently I posted some photo of my Separatist army I thought it would have been the perfect moment to expand it a bit and see if that set is actually interesting
  6. Very impressive display and thanks for sharing the LDD file. I don't have LDD currently but you have been very kind in sharing it I see you have the Revan Minifigure, well done. Just a note: It has been confirmed the Sith from the Defender Jedi cruiser is not Darth Marr. Of course you can use the Minifigure to represent whoever you wish. Mine is just a "powerful Force-user". He can be a Sith, he can be a Jedi with a la Revan mask (I'm sure many of us here know there is a story behind Revan's mask ) Btw it is one of my favorite Minifigures
  7. Two more misadventures for the Clumsy Creature "A trip in the Jungle" The Clumsy Creature runs into a little surprise "Chewing gum" Someone found a new role for Jar Jar How can the Clumsy Creature win at a game with his low intelligence? It's annoying luck, of course Whoever treats Jar Jar in such a way is surely my friend
  8. Something tells me t four may not be "massive enough" Now if someone even makes an "usable" Minifigure-scaled interior with the "massive scale" Helicarrier they will be the Lego internet heroes of the year
  9. So it $100 for the all the Micro-figures or just for the "Shield agents" figures? In any case it's really an insane price. I wonder if it will be the "market standard" or if those sellers are simply rising the prices because they are currently the only ones who are selling them. Also I'm curious to see if someone bought them at that price
  10. Thanks for the suggestion There will be still the scale issue with the exterior. I do realize it would be very difficult to make a Minifigure-scale version of the Helicarrier
  11. It was my impression as well. Being as tall as any part of the structure is indeed too much off scale. Thank you for the info I'm not currently I huge fan of the micro-figures. However since I only saw them in few photos I can't judge them. I think I'm too much "accustomed". Are the micro-figures becoming so expensive? How much? Just for the sake of curiosity Would modifying the upper deck require a lot of work? I mean would I have to plan it during building or is the deck easily accessible (for modifications purposes) after the set as been assembled? Thank you
  12. I came back to the Lego universe after a very long hiatus (it lasted from 2005 to about September 2014) so I lost a lot of things too. Sadly it includes most of the LOTR sets. Luckily I got Orthanc too and I can't wait to build it (I have so many sets around it's getting difficult to plan building: if I could make this my job lol ) I agree with you regarding the recent "Castle" theme: they are very "undertone" sets. I built a lot of stuff when I was younger. I had so many sets from Castle, Pirates and Space themes (we are talking about those from 1990s, and even earlier sets) Sadly I can't find most of them. Only few of the Pirates ones. They should be around somewhere, buried in some box. If I could find them I could easily rebuild them. Anyway, we may have lost many things but this seems to be a Golden Age for Lego and it's possible we'll get a fantasy them in a near future
  13. I know what you mean. The Minifigure would be more "usable" for army building without "personal marks". You can remove the markings as suggested above or you can "pretend" it is a the insignia of some "special unit", the choice is yours
  14. I'm very curious to see the "scale comparison" too. I haven't ordered the Helicarrier yet because I don't know if regular size Minifigures will look too much off scale. I'm a collector so I like to display my Lego sets but I even love to create scenes (dioramas, brick comics etc) to tell a story and I fear regular Minifigures may just look "giants" compared to Helicarrier size
  15. I too think their intention was to create a "silly and entertaining" look for the Minifigure. After all the whole Lego universe is about hilarious things Look at the version of the Star Wars universe from the Lego video games: so funny and entertaining. Does anyone remember Darth Vader's inspection to the second Death Star with the "workers" Minifigures lazing around with mugs while playing with the chair? Amazingly hilarious
  16. I have a question for those who had the chance to give a closer look the the Helicarrier (by watching review videos or anything) I know the set is made in "micro-scale" but would be possible to use it as "setting" for standard Minifigures action (Brick comics or films, for example) without looking oddly off scale? I'll try to explain a little better: If I use it as "setting" for Minifigures could it represent a "smaller version" of the Helicarrier or will the scene look silly? I'm really interested in this set even for "collection/display" purposes but if I could use as "setting" for some Brick Comic etc I'll spend that money more gladly Any info would really help me, so thank you very much
  17. I like it too. The CMF Classic King is nice but I wished he came with some armor instead of his colorful attire
  18. I knew it was directed at hime I just read it and I found very useful so I jumped into the conversation Thank you for the info on Final Cut. I recently bought Pixelmator as photo editor and it does not seem bad. I have still to learn most of its advanced functions (like creating explosions etc) It has a very reasonable price (I bought it for less than 30€ on App Store) and it appears to have some interesting potential
  19. Of course. You have a very impressive army and the Minfigures do look cool so everything is fine Here your thumbs up Btw do you plan to expand your army further? Also let me know how you "table-top war-gaming rules" project goes. I'm very curious
  20. I'm not the author of the original post/question but I want to thank you for your advices. They are very useful to me I strongly agree on 4K: it's more useful for other kind of productions than YouTube. Regarding the static images: I too prefer non static images. However I once made a video with some of my Brick Comics and the static image was the only way to make the whole panel easily readable. I also had to use static images when making stop motion videos. Any effect added ( I notice again I used iMovie) ruined the "motion sequence" of the frames. Would you recommend Final Cut to someone who, at the least a the moment, plans to make YouTube videos mostly for fun and not to earn something from them? At least not yet Thank you again for sharing your knowledge on the matter. I really appreciated it
  21. Good point and another proof of those persons "weird" Minifigures tastes
  22. I had the same problem. I have not a lot of time to dedicate to videos right now so I'm using iMovies on my MacPro and every time I remove the default "Ken Burns effect" I get the black bars on the side. What software are you using? I've been told with the most "advanced" software there aren't such problems
  23. Those persons are indeed very "weird" It's one of the best army builders around. You made the right choice in getting them
  24. It sounds very interesting. The new Stormtroopers battle pack is amazing for any Imperial army. I have to say I also like the Officer from the Advanced Tie Prototype
  25. Oh, nice I'm always in a hurry these days so I read too fast and I miss few things lol Which ones are unpopular? I'm very curious
