LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
BrickSev replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have still to figure out how the thing works. I tried with a couple of codes, confirmed the email and they told me all went well etc, but I got no email confirmation that I actually entered the context. I asked to Lego customer service but they told me the person who deal with such things was not in the building and to call again. I'll try to do it soon -
I know, making them in white is impossible. Let's hope in the future we'll get more white/silver parts Regarding the Lizardmen: this year we'll get a lot of dinosaurs, they would be perfect as Lizardmen's mounts. After the mounts they get in Warhammer are de facto dinosaurs

Thank you for your comment I don't like stud shooters but I run out of standard blasters. I used all the ones I found for my growing Clone Army and I don't have a single standard blaster available for them. Beside the most accurate weapon should the blaster rifle and I have even less of them. I plan to acquire few more, though I don't have the Palpatine office set, otherwise it would be perfect for displaying the Commandos. However I will add some scenery. This is just the beginning of the project so I'll add more Commandos and hopefully so scenery to display them. It's too bad indeed the served mostly as target practice. They acted as the "red shirts" of the Star Wars universe, you know what I mean. I'm glad you like my idea. I'll surely expand the core of the army. If I only could find some non-clone troopers speeder: it would be nice to give them some vehicle in addition to the battle pack heavy weapon -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

I was talking about the "standard" series Simpsons should be released on May, right? How many of them you have? I know I could count them lol but I was going with the easiest way and so I asked Btw do they all have "standard" equipment? The photo is a little blurry. Nice army -
I have mixed feelings about this set too. I also thought with that money I can buy a good number of the ned Marvel sets that will be released soon

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

Thanks So Series 13 will be around for awhile. That's good, since I'm thinking to get few more of certain Minifigures for "army building" purposes -
Recently I saw a "re-stock" of sold out LOTR sets on several EU Amazon sites and I mean sold directly by Amazon. I thought about getting a couple of them but since I can't find all the sets I'd need for a couple of projects I decided to move to other projects

Do we know when the next series comes out? The rumors I heard talked about a sort of "Monsters related" series. I don't know if things changed in the meantime -

I have two more "Lego Star Wars army project" to show here The first is the beginning of my Senate Commandos army. It's very small at the moment but the photos shows the Minifigures' wonderful details. 75088 is a wonderful set. "Protectors of the Senate" The second is my Wookiee Army and it appears it is... "One of the largest Wookiee armies" I made some search and it seems the biggest Lego Wookiee army I found on the web has just five Minifigures more than mine but I have more vehicles. Not that's really important but I was a bit curious Let me know what you think. Comments are always appreciated. I'll try to post better photos of the Wookiee army soon -
I just bought 75080 AAT mostly "out of necessity" due the Jar Jar Minifigure. I know it sounds like an heresy lol but I need Jar Jar for the "Jar Jar hate parody" Brick comics I make and my old 1999 Jar Jar Minifigure is showing some damage on the base of its headpiece and so I need a replacement to be ready

Time, cash and life: the three things that always stand between us and our hobbies High Elves in Warhammer style is indeed a very complex project. I was thinking more about something "loosely inspired by". Namely Elves without the "wood" part There are surely other "easier to make" factions. Has anyone ever thought about using some "Chima headpieces" (I'm not a huge fan of them, though) to create some Lizardmen? I know it wouldn't be very accurate but I'm very curious

It's not very easy to me to buy these kind of Lego sets. I either found them sold at illogically high prices or shipped from country far away (with obviously expensive shipping rates). I'll search specifically for that set (or Minifigure). Perhaps I'll be lucky this time Sadly I have been away from the hobby for a very long period and I missed so many things. Thank you very much for the suggestion

The exceptions do confirm the pattern Anyway mine was a reply to who said UCS sets shouldn't have any Minfigure. Most of them have Minfigures so when it comes to UCS Tie fighter this another thing we must consider, alongside the number of pieces and its price
-
I didn't considered the droids Minifigures since there is always a debate on them. Many persons claim they are not Minfigures etc, so I tried to not fuel the debate lol Anyway, the point was: It's common for UCS to have more than a single Minifigure

Thank you very much It's always a pleasure when we Star Wars fans can have our little revenge/justice on the Clumsy Creature I agree. I was about to post a comment but I was in a hurry and I forgot it It is the new Empire's recruitment campaign: "Join the Empire, we have cookies" Edit: Typos corrected.

Today I finally found the time to make two images. The first shows the 6205 V-Wing Fighter (the first V-Wing set) in some space action. "Evasive Manoeuvres" I'm experimenting with a new editing software I acquired The second image is, of course, a Jar Jar one. "Disappointing safe" Someone is very disappointed by the content of a safe Comments, feedback are always appreciated

I planned to build a little army with Egyptian warriors I have but I can't find a "leader". I don't have the other Egyptian Minifigures. I was thinking about using the "Withcking" to represent a sort of "undead king" leading the warriors from the sands. Something in the style of "Warhammer Tomb Kings", just to use an example

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

That cantina's patrons have weird tastes lol But I don't judge them lol Btw the Cantina seems to be a interesting set since it can be used with many themes and scenarios. I think I should add it to my "to buy soon" list -
Don't worry. I too get distracted by several projects at once Do you like only Wood Elves or do you some project regarding, just to use the classic Warhammer-like definition , "High Elves"? Btw I'll look forward your new stuff

It has been ages since UCS sets come without Minifigures. Slave I has 4, Sandcrawler has 7, the Millennium Falcon came with 5, etc. So the "complain" is legit
-
Considered the higher number of pieces and Minifigures in my opinion the Slave I would be a better choice. It's not that I don't like the UCS Tie Fighter but since I don't have unlimited resources for my Lego hobby I think there are other sets more "worthy" than this one

[WIP] [MOC] Kangaxx's tower (evil wizard). Need advice.

Thank you for your wishes. Currently I have so many sets to build and very few hours available. When your sons will open Orthanc they will have the chance to build a set that in three years is likely to become very sought after. I'm sure they will be proud to own, build and play with it I understand the reason you "first buy for the kids". Family and the persons we care about always come first. There is a person who is very special to me and if I had to choose between making her happy with something she loves or adding even more sets to my (rather large) collection I put her first. Bringing happiness, or helping, those we care about is priceless Anyway, I'm quite sure those old sets of mine should be around somewhere. It's even possible they are in my own home, stored years ago in some box. I had sets who are very sought after right now. The very old Castle sets and even Space sets that now are extremely rare. Well at least my old Pirate theme collection (including the old Blue and Red Coats) is largely "intact" -
Actually rising prices according to increasing demand is speculation. TLG is often quite fair when it comes to prices and they are usually the product of production costs ( there are pieces that cost more to produce) license costs etc. Is Tie Fighter iconic? Of course it is. Is this a must buy? I don't think so. Overpriced and not that impressive. The syllogism "The ship's design is simplistic (which actually is not that simplistic if you look carefully at it ) then the set must be simplistic" does not justify the cost. The relation between demand and prices rising is not "fair play". It's something I expect from third party/private sellers selling out of productions sets not with an official new release. Especially when we compare it with the recently released Slave I EDIT: Of course if you like it, it may be a "must buy" for you. This is a personal opinion that everyone should respect. It's our money and it's logical to spend it to buy what we like but from an objective point of view the set, according to the info we currently have, does not appear to be an "must buy"

Lower? We are one of countries with highest tax pressure in Europe. Well I guess we are not alone Spain is indeed cheaper but from what I know it's not just because of taxes. Things cost less there. In any case the UCS Tie fighter is indeed too much over priced. It costs more than the Slave I and about 60€ less than the Sandcrawler. I may be wrong, since I only saw few pics of the UCS Tie, but I think the above mentioned UCS are a better choice
