  1. Welcome to a Brick Galaxy far, far, away There are wonderful sets even among the "no UCS" ones. So my suggestion to a new collector is "buy whatever you like". In the end what matters is to enjoy our hobby. Whatever it is only UCS, no UCS or a mix of sets. The important is be satisfied with our purchases So welcome to the Lego Star Wars universe and May the Brick be with you
  2. Hello fellow AFOL, I'd need your assistance. I'm thinking about buying the 10243 Parisian Restaurant but I'm not sure if it would be the perfect choice. Don't misunderstand me, I know it's an impressive set and, with 2469 pieces, it's not even an expensive one ( price per brick, speaking ) I also have 20€ of VIP points to redeem, plus the current 5% discount, so I would buy it for a very interesting price. However I'm currently working on the creation of Brickfilms and Lego comics so I was wondering if it could have a role in those projects, instead of simply be a display piece (even though a great one) I noticed the "rooms" are not very large so I'm not sure if 10243 could be a great set for Brickfilms, comics, dioramas etc. Thank you very much for your assistance. I never saw the set in person (only in photos/videos) so any advice would help me in making a decision Thanks again
  3. Thank you Niku I'll make sure to check as more content I can. There are indeed many wonderful projects and a lot of Lego knowledge here. See you around. I plan to share my projects soon
  4. Thank you very much The problem with frame rates comes from iMovie. It appears the "shortest duration" for each photo is 1/10 of second (I can't put a value lower than that ) so it results in 10 fps, which is quite low, I know. I don't know if there is a way to increase frame rates in iMovie. Do you have another software to suggest? (for Mac, since I have a MacPro) Also I used the photos in the original 3872X2592 resolution, which is not a 16:9 format and it caused the little black area on the sides. That could be easily solved converting the photos in a 16:9 format next time. Thank you again. Since this is my first shot, any advice is highly appreciated and useful to improve
  5. To be honest I don't have many expectations regarding the new Star Wars trilogy (I hope I'm proved wrong, though) but if it will bring new wonderful Lego sets I'll gladly welcome it New helmet molds and new blasters would be a great addition to my many of my current projects. Anyway when should "The Force awakens" sub-genre be released? In the 2015 rumors I read around it was not mentioned, so I guess it will be in the proximity of the movie release.
  6. Hello, I finally uploaded my first Brickfilm ever It's just a very short one but it's a start I know it's not perfect but I hope you'll like it. I'm new to the universe of Brickfilms, so your feedback, advices and opinion are very appreciated. They will be so useful to help me improve my skills and correct the mistakes. Thank you very much.
  7. Impressive, most impressive. I saw a lot of very interesting Minifigures in this "wave" The "Space Trooper/ Gunslinger", "Samurai Woman", the alien etc. A good number of Minifigures for my projects Now... if only luck would help me With Series 12 I ended with a little army of Pizza guys and Gamers...and Goddess of War but the last one is welcomed. I don't know how to make good use of all those gamers Minifigures
  8. I'm currently working on building a Lego Clone Army, so new Battle Packs are always welcomed. The "Geonsis Troopers" pack could, hopefully, be as useful as the current 75035. I have bought 20 Kashyyyk Troopers sets so a little variety wouldn't hurt The only problem are those new "stud shooting" blasters I'm aware they want to give more "playing features" but those blasters look so unrealistic. I give my Clones Troopers "old fashioned" blasters as often as I can (in addition to custom heavy/special weapon) but sadly as their number increases I begin to lack "classic" blasters. Anyway, I think multiple Geonosis Troopers Battle Packs will be on my buy list I'm also interested in the Stormtroopers pack. Perfect Imperial Army builder or even "plain white" clones for some custom project, after all we can consider their armor a Phase III Clone Trooper armor
  9. Thank you Balbo and dr_spock. I can't wait to explore the forums. I have been away from Lego for quite long so it's always nice to find a lot of info in a single place. See you around. I'm mostly a Lego Star Wars collector but I don't ignore other themes, so I'll be around many forum areas Thank you again for your welcome. May the Bricks be with you
  10. Hello there, I was comparing one of my custom Clone Troopers with an ARF Trooper from 9488 set when I thought about this scene. It's very short scene, just one panel comic, but I wanted to share with you. http://brickseven.blogspot.it/2014/11/bragging-clones.html
  11. Hello fellow AFOL, My name is Daniel (aka BrickSev :) ) I've been a Lego fan and collector from about 25 years and I'm back to the wonderful universe of bricks after a quite long absence. I have already started many Lego projects and I'd really like to share them with the Eurobricks community. From Brickfilms (I already completed my first short one and I'll post the video in the next days) to dioramas, from reviews to custom Minifigures, from comic stories to the Lego Clone Army I'm currently building around a core of 20 75035 sets. Your advices and feedback would be highly appreciated: they will help me greatly. I created a Blog and a Youtube channel to share my projects (I don't know if I'm allowed to post links to them here :) ) See you around. It's a pleasure to be member of this community. Congratulations to all the wonderful works I see here. When I saw them I decided I had to join this community :)
