  1. Congrats. I'm getting the pet shop and palace cinema for double points.
  2. I have noticed the bow in the roof you guys speak of, but so far pushing it down seems to work fine.
  3. Sure is, my favorite set in my collection.
  4. It varies, don't worry too much yet. I've been pretty active in S@H recently, bought both the Tower Bridge and GBHQ on two separate orders. Both took a couple of extra days to switch from "in warehouse" to "complete", but that was because I ordered them in a Friday. But I would say 2-5 days for processing, then once it gets shipped it arrives pretty quickly. The only thing that MIGHT slow down your order is if you bought a bunch of hard to find sets, like 3 or 4. But if not, don't worry, it'll get to you.
  5. Man, sounds like a great deal. Id happily take a near complete one for $130.
  6. Glad to hear I had you anxiously awaiting every post.
  7. just got it done, what a fantastic set. I will be doing a video review on it within the next couple of days. I would say it took somewhere around 15-20 hours to build. We didn't build it all in one sitting, we did the bottom floor on the first day, middle floor the next day, and finished it up today. But each day we put in a good 5-9 hours in.
  8. Yes it is quite a long build. I would say I have easily 10 to 12 hours into it so far, and probably another 3 or so to go. I thought it would be easier than the Tower Bridge due to numbered bags. But the amount of detail and micro builds really take some time. So even though you don't spend the time searching for pieces, it still seems to take just as long. It is magnificent though.
  9. I am building this as we speak, such a beautiful set already. The attention to detail is amazing!!!
  10. Cool man, it's a good one for sure. I hope to be getting it within the next month or so.
  11. Yes that would be awesome. I've just decided to use mine as a walking bridge, because I do love this set.
  12. Thanks. We would be talking about a 10,000 piece set I think, lol.
  13. Yes this. That is why I posted the trailers to the other 2 films, because they have a completely different tone than the trailer to the new film has. I suppose it's still possible that the movie might be decent, but this trailer did NOTHING to help sell this movie. The best part is the beginning referencing the original Ghostbusters, but once the knew film kicks in it's all down hill from there. The bottom line is look at the likes and dislikes on YouTube, over 10,000 more dislikes. I've NEVER seen that before for a new film. People have some really strong opinions reguarding this film, and this trailer did NOTHING to change those opinions, if anything they made it worse.
  14. Well we can all wait and see, but I very much think it's going to flop after seeing this trailer. Yes Ghostbusters was a comedy, but it had REAL horror elements in it as well. For every fun or silly ghost, there WAS a dark scary one to balance it out. Library ghost was scary, slimer was silly. Dana was a Scary possesion, Louis was a silly possession. Gozer was a serious villian, stay Puft was silly. The film has balance. Based on this trailer, it doesn't have ANY balance, it's all slapstick silliness. Perhaps the actual film will have MORE seriousness to it, but as far as trailers go, that is an AWFUL representation. I think you, and others give Paul Fieg far too much credit. He has had 1 real hit, bridesmaids. But Briadsmaids was essentially a ripoff of The Hangover. So it's not like he had a real original idea there. What else has he done? Spy? Ohh that'll be remebered years to come as a great film... I think you, and others give Paul Fieg far too much credit. He has had 1 real hit, bridesmaids. 15. @Hawklord, But the original film WAS serious, they mixed in the jokes within the drama. That's what made it work. This looks like complete comedy, forced at that. Really an exorcist joke??? Come on, that's just bad writing. Worse than GB2.
  16. Looks like Shit. Looks like a bad SNL parody of Ghostbusters. This director has NO idea how to handle this franchise. Its not a male or female thing, you could put 4 dudes in those roles and it would look just as crappy. It feels like a Scary Movie parody, or has more in common with Scooby Doo than with Ghostbusters. The original mixed horror with comedy, they balanced it out perfectly. This film is all comedy, and based on the trailor, not even a little funny. Even if it does end up being a sequel, it's still destined for the bargin bin. GB2 looks like a masterpiece compared to this pile of dog $hit. I had very little hope for this film, and they just confirmed my fears... Compare what we saw today with the original 2. Tell me you HONESTLY feel this looks better or just as good as the originals. Ghostbusters Ghostbusters 2
  17. Great review!!! I really like the tent, looks nice.
  18. I thought maybe the VIP points you have are worth double the amount. Thanks for clearing that up.
  19. Oh really??? I must have missed that when putting it together, thanks.
  20. I forgot about the sails. Yes I could see those being expensive.
  21. I'm sure you probably can, but it might be to your advantage to substitute some of the bricks. Like the printed bricks for example, those are the only rare pieces from this set. If that doesn't matter to you, I'm sure you can get nonprinted pieces quite a bit cheaper. As for the baseplate, I think there were only a couple of variations. It's not difficult to find the actual one on Bricklink. But they can be fairly pricey. Not OMG expensive, but probably 50 bucks or so including shipping for an undamaged one. I actually asked a few people in here if it is cheaper bricklinking the pieces vs buying the whole set, before I bought it. The general consensus seemed to be buying the whole set TENDS to be cheaper. Or at least pretty damn close, but a LOT easier (lot less research). But to be honest, given this set is only 500 or so pieces, I actually think you could probably Bricklink it cheaper, rather than buying the actual set. Especially if you don't mind substituting for nonprinted pieces, and don't want the EXACT minifigs. Steve and the Admiral will cost a few bucks just for them.
  22. Here is my video review for the MASSIVE Tower Bridge set. I hope you enjoy.
  23. It's great for sure, but IMO Rock Island Refuge and Eldorado Fortress are slightly better. I don't own EF as of yet. But just the way it is desinged, I would put it at the #2 spot. #1 goes to Rock Island Refuge IMO. Its just so unique. But for sure, this set is awesome as well. I can't wait to really build off of it, make a HUGE Red Coat Fort, with this as the template. @Azog, On a personal note, I've heard you talk about buying or already bought The Imperial Flagship, Queen Annes Revenge, and The Black Pearl. So clearly you are willing to spend some money to get the sets you want. So you should definitely add this to your list.
  24. For one? Or buying more than 1? Because any fan of Ghostbusters and Lego, this seems like a MUST have IMO. I can't wait to get mine on Tuesday. But like I said, I have NO desire to buy another one.
