  1. Wow, those curves! I've never seen this car before, but the original can't be more beautiful than what you've built here...
  2. Great and unique body design! The front reminds me quite a lot of the Lamborghini LM002 which impressed little me very much, back in the day.
  3. Yes, please continue, I like half-tracked vehicles! I also had to abandon my contest participation, but I will continue the build nevertheless. Now I'm off to google McLeach...
  4. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not going to make it. I could still enter it as a "Citroën Activa Chassis", since everything is there and running, cables are neatly stowed ;-) and it even has seats and a dashboard. It's just a bit windy when driven... But seeing all the "finished" entries, it just doesn't look like I want it to. Let's see tomorrow if I can put a video and some pics here or if I withdraw. This would give me time to improve some things and make it a really great car - just as "MOC" instead of "TC6".
  5. Great front design and way better proportions than Mk1. It was worth the restart.
  6. That's really a pity... But I'm struggling with the deadline myself and know how it feels to be too busy for MOCing.
  7. I don't think that Omikron's creation does not fit the "spirit" of the contest or that it does not utilize or "need" an sbrick. Granted, the use of remote control is somewhat more stringent on a moving vehicle than on a "static" object. But i'd rather have a static object remote controlled than having ugly controls sticking out of its body. And why not use an sbrick that uses up way less space than two IR receivers and can be placed invisibly inside the object? I'm sorry, but I can't avoid the impression that some people here just want to badmouth a MOC that is just great and has good chances to win a prize. And that's what is, in my opinion, REALLY against the spirit of this (and any other) competition.
  8. I think I might go for orange/white, so blue becomes orange. This matches my personal taste as well as the color scheme of Swiss police cars. Let's hope it doesn't become too difficult with the available parts in orange. Or else I might try black/orange with a bit less black... Funny, I was thinking the same after skimming over the title. Would love to see this, but Paul's supercars are very cool, too! ;-)
  9. Cool! Another great car on my "must build" list. The remote gearbox is superb – finally the end of clumsy central consoles full of gears...
  10. +1 Amazing shape! But just a tiny little bit disappointed that it's not one of these nice and quirky old Saab cars ;-)
  11. The problem I see is size. Most windscreens and other transparent parts are just too small for the majority of technic models. Then it would have to be stacked windscreens or even bricks / slopes. And gone is the transparency. So for me it seems the better solution to just leave holes. An additional point might be the weight that is added by brick built windows.
  12. Last night I started to hate PF cables, especially these bulky connectors. With 4 lines going from the back (where the BB and the receivers are) to the front, all of them with an extension, there are a lot of them! After some struggling I succeeded to cram everything in the central console / backbone. It's now completely filled with cable stuff. But the interior will be free of cables as I wanted it. The boot however will also be completely filled. What a mess! Now on to the body - looks like it's going to be done in a rather "quick and dirty" fashion...
  13. I think that's exactly the point that makes me like it. Completely offbeat and not bowing to any ideal of beauty. I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. Too bad technic doesn't have the sky blue colour from the drawing in your OP.
  14. Intetesting work! Is it based on a real vehicle? I've never seen something like it before.
  15. I like the smaller wheels more, anyway. The big ones seemed out of scale. And now you have the perfect colour scheme. Looks just great!
  16. Although I don't like Hummers at all, I must admire your work. Densely packed and compact, that's really a good build. And I like the model team look it has.
  17. I have collected parts in odd colours for quite a time, but rarely use them. But in my current MOC (TC6 Citroën Activa) I have found quite a good use for the red and white axles, as I colour coded the different functions: red axles and connectors for the drivetrain, white parts for steering (as well as yellow for the suspension, but not the axles, obviously). I also use the coloured axles for bodywork from time to time if the right lengths are available. What I really love and use a lot are black axle pins with friction. The blue ones are just too ugly in most models. Too bad they are really rare and expensive.
  18. Very slowly, unfortunately. I had a busy time and was away from home the last two weekends. I still hope to finish on time, but some things might not turn out as refined as I expected. However, the chassis is on a good level now and quite well optimized. I'll post more WIP pictures soon.
  19. I already liked your FJ40 very much, and with this great unusual colour scheme this one is even better. I see strong competition for my entry coming...
  20. Seems to turn out quite realistic, I like it! The suspension setup reminds me somewhat of the Citroën-Kégresse half tracked vehicles. I really have to get back on them and you gave me the perfect inspiration, спасибо!
  21. A good example of what's still possible with that old stuff (plus some additions). Really clever use of the battery box as a bonnet (too bad they don't come in black). I'd leave the width as it is, it looks realistic. My only suggestion is to add a somewhat more sticking out bumper to the front so it doesn't look so flat anymore.
  22. I like that retro-futuristic style of your truck. For me it's like a childhood memory. Good luck with the additional functions!
  23. I like this, too! Today, I'm doing it mostly on the computer however – easier to play around try different setups. The black wheel with the yellow bush looks good already, looking forward to the rest!
  24. The front end looks really great! Simple, but sopt on. The colour change is a good point as well, it makes the Unimog much more recognizeable than the "all black" look – at least on the photos. However, I'm not a fan of the new wheels. They seem too wide for such an old vehicle. The first ones were too small and too much road type, I agree. So you probably had the same problem I had with several of my older style MOCs: too little choice of narrow tires...
  25. Yes, please continue! Too bad that SAAB is no longer "stronk"... :-(
