Snigger, I came up with my own, but as you can see they looks really similar: Thanks! Hope you can check them out too! I'm planning on having 4 curves and one of them will be showing off all 6 radi! I am really happy with the color correction, @coaster nailed it. I think they look closer to LEGO Dark Stone Grey than ME models do. The only way to make it even closer I think would be to polish the parts even more, but I'm not sure it worth the effort, I'm already happy. Also the issues we saw with the stud clutch power on the pre production pieces at BW have been solved.

Here's my first curve ballasted: Not the greatest photo taken...

Interesting, so do you have a PF Receiver or you just control it via the polarity switch on the bottom? How long does the battery last and how long does it take to re-charge? What engine did you model your MOC after? I see similarities to a EMD switcher but the cab is different.

Nice work. In 4 GO train I do not recognize the window screen, what set was it in? Also with said engine can I see some more pictures of the double decker coach it is pulling.

I wound up sorting the order last night for my LUG but they look awesome. Hope to have them all ballasted this long weekend.

Union Pacific SD70ACe Heritage Fleet - 6 Locomotives!

Nice, really think that CNW should be on a certain layout.... -
Wow, very nice. I'm always a fan of adding lights and I like the change of color for the street lights.

I wound you doing the similar but instead of a battery I connected to a wall wort. There are 4 wires in the PF connector and I connected the two right together and the two left ones. I believe the two inner wires power motors and the two outer are pass through.

Electric frieght rules out the US. I suspect we will get a different color NA frieght with different cars that some will hate and others love. What about an Asian (Japan) electric frieght? Oh and some sort of high speed train with a complete nose cone in a color other than white. Generic enough guesses? :) P.S. I hope I'm wrong!

What about ising the 2x2 modified plates with towballs (63082 and 15456)? I think there are some larger Technics/bionocle parts too.

Wow... I need to study this on a real screen ( not my phone ). There seems so many ideas for PF drivetrains to take in.

Another option that I have employed is to slant the baseplates the track is attached to, then it is linear all the way up the incline

Thanks! We were pushing the limits of both the train and the layout. "Gonna need a bigger layout..." as it was in 2 corners at the same time. If I convert (as @legoman666 wants me to) to using ball bearings in my axles, we can greatly increase the length one motor can pull. As it was it ran for probably an hour before dying.

Cheaper than designing new ones. If anything when Technics gets a refresh, the trains will to. We have not seen a Creator Expert train in years, so an update for trains is very doubtful. I'd look at PFx, Sbrick or the other replacements.

As promised here is one short video of one of our member's bullet train going through the tracks: Also I took some pictures of ballasting the pieces. There is a slight color variation between these tracks and standard Dark Bley The rail profile is closer (if not the same) as the LEGO straight and curve track and not like the ME Models track.

Yea you can see them here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=526065 There is also a .ldr file to build them :)

I will be posting a video of our tests, hopefully later tonight.

Bumping this again, Here's our latest submission, 35.5 Feet (10.8 Meters) long and 60 cars. I should have filmed with my video car instead of my phone.

Fort those who were not able to attend my presentation or BrickWorld Chicago 2017 in general, here are the PPT slides and my LDD files. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pirzyk/MOCs/Lighting/Roads/power_through_brick_built_roads.pptx http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pirzyk/MOCs/Lighting/Roads/straight_road.lxf http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pirzyk/MOCs/Lighting/Roads/wiring_loom.lxf

+1 And the station is nice too. Can't wait to see it once it opens to the minifigs.

The only thing I can come up with for the light is to swap out one of the 1x4 bows for 2 cheese and a 1x2 jumper. It won't be as smooth :(

Hi Rafael, The model looks good to me, what specifically are you not happy about the lights and stickers? Did you wwork from a specific photo or just have a live example near by? Any plans on trying to motorized it?
