If you don't like the prints it's easy to rub off, that's what I'm going to do.

For me I'd doesn't really matter, I mean if you look at it from Legos point of view the only reason that battle packs aren't just figures in a packet is due to licensing so they have to make something to build. You can't do much with 60 pieces. All of my battlepacks just get parted

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
atlas replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They're not really grey, more like a kind of olivey greyish colour. But dark bluish grey is still the best current approximation on the Lego palette -
Yep. I also never understood why clone pilots from episode 2 have the same helmet when it's clearly different, there is no fin and the hoses go in the back. Looks odd.

Nice catch. The price gouging on the figs from that set is insane, luckily I bit the bullet last year and snagged a new one for I think 80 use before postage. Really great set, minifigs are outstanding and for what it is the diorama isn't bad at all.

I agree but honestly there is more chance of an Elan Sleazebaggano minifig than a shadow caster set

[MOC][WIP][LDD] Minifig Scale Rebels Ghost Build
atlas replied to IcarusBuilds's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Really great shaping with some of those angles it looks really clean. This really is colossal -
Great. I sure everyone would prefer that instead of the many things that are still neglected after nearly 20 years

If Sabine and Ezra are light flesh again then it goes past the point of ridiculous. I can't imagine how someone at lego thought that was the right choice. It looks nothing like them! Add that to the fact that there are basically zero non white female heads and it seems that there is a whitewashing problem.

Mine are centred purely because that's the only way I could attach them to the rest of the engine assembly. A half stud offset would be ideal I think, the offset is noticeable enough that having them exactly in line with the middle of the "intakes" looks off

[WIP MOD] Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter help needed
atlas replied to one23one23four's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is my opinion but using bricks to build the 'wings' in the wedge doesn't work as well as an assembly of plates -
The way that ahsokas headdress is printed looks terrible. Just disappointing all around.
-
Looks beautiful. I've been putting off trying to do this one for a while.this has a really good silhouette, I think it will look even better in real bricks.

why are you bragging and peddling this overpriced rubbish?

Bricklink, (part 987 I think). Make sure any arms you buy are new, as they're prone to cracking. I haven't looked recently but I'm pretty sure that the light up arms on the left hand side are just normal ones. And a hand of course

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
atlas replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Theron Nett (red 10) who was released in the x wing microfighter is pretty great in every aspect. Detail wise the only part that really stands out is the lack of boots or printing on the sides of the legs. A real visor like the resistance helmets should be made though in addition to a more accurate mold. I've been amassing that body and using it to make as many of the rebellion pilots as possible. The only major issue is that they all look the same because there are only two heads with visor prints on them that are available. -
Unfortunately I think you might be out of luck. Don't give up hope looking for one though. I cleaned up a lightup DV recently, it seems that the electronic function of the minifig is dependent on the wiring inside that armed
-
Somehow, I'm not really worried how, I really really hope there ends up being produced mini figures of Luke in his fatigues (dagobah+cloud city), Luke in his fatigues injured (Vader duel+falcon) and Luke in his fatigues minus the jacket (dagobah, like the old yoda hut). I doubt it though.

Which is ridiculous because the images have been around for what like a month ?

Episode 3 had tons of sets recently. The movies that are missing out are 1,2 and everything in 5 after hoth despite that I would love to see more stuff from the first 6 movies, the force awakens is so stale already and the visual content of the film is so limited that everything has been made already.

So I received two used sandtrooper minifigs that have suffered some sun damage. Exposed areas have yellowed to a degree and the parts of the pauldron that were presumably in direct sunlight have faded. What used to be a fairly strong orange has faded to yellow and the bright white cape has also yellowed. I learnt that yellowed parts - plastic - can be restored in a solution of hydrogen peroxide. But for sun damaged cloth pieces, how can you restore the colour? Ideally I want to retain the stiffness of the cloth as it comes out of the box in a new set, but my main concern is restoring the original colour of the pauldrons. Thanks in advance. Finally, dark tan. And that face looks pretty great, unmistakably mark hamill. It is bizarre that legs can only be printed halfway down the legs though
-
Yeah that could be a great set You could have Anakin, Obi-Wan, Zam, and Padme in her night gown. Though unfortunately the chances of Padme being produced as a figure are basically zero because she isn't in many action sequences. Then the assassin droid, the two speeders and maybe an exploding window
-
That's a relief that they finally produced an accurate torso for the gown. The face is also absolutely perfect as well. Hopefully the rest are as impressive
-
oh no! Someone mentioned Luke Skywalker even though mark hamill signed a contract nearly 4 years ago! S P O I L E R S !!!!
