  1. I would love rereleases of the earlier modulars, updated with new moulds as necessary. And even if they were empty or almost empty inside as the originals were. However, it would have to be in addition to a brand new modular. Never instead of. It was terrible when that happened with the Winter Village line. Fingers crossed the next set to be revealed will be the 2018 modular!!
  2. I remember your layout from last year too. This new version is just as sweet and pleasing to the eye. Very nicely arranged and detailed. Your photography is excellent too.
  3. Yes, good eye, and that will be this year's limited set to follow on from last year's snowglobe! He is gorgeous! Keep watching as you get a nice close-up view at 1:35 onwards. He may be tall but I think he will make a great mascot for the toy shop.
  4. Yeah this is cool. So much fun! I do believe this could succeed on Ideas. Certainly it is a truly original idea for a Lego set, and so well executed!
  5. Yes indeed, very cute and perfectly fitting to the winter village themes! I love the combination of woodwork and stonework around the sand green. I think the double entry door and the exterior staircase are my two favourite features, along with that lovely tree. I have voted :-), although sadly I agree that the winter village is not one of the favourite themes on the Ideas forum.
  6. A brand reboot? That's an interesting idea - I wonder what it means? That they will change all the characters? Or turn them back into minifigures? Change the colour schemes? Why would they change anything? I thought Friends was now one of the top three best selling themes!
  7. Yes the tudor work is great. And those gorgeous white windows offset it nicely. Would love to see photos of the whole village at the exhibition!
  8. The winter village sets have always come back into stock before Christmas for at least one if not two years, so the train will come back into stock around the same time as the station is released, and likely next year as well. So for anybody who didn't buy the train last year and now would like one to go with the new station, it will be possible.
  9. It does look good! Especially from that first angle. Nice work creating an attractive looking building with three sides that still opens for internal access. Thanks for sharing the files too.
  10. Very nice @JopieK! Thanks for the file!
  11. Aah yes well it's not my creation; I bought Miro Dudas' winter village train station from Constructibles: http://shop.constructibles.net/wv-train-station-instructions-only-download/
  12. I've already got a train station for my winter village, which I love, so this will present me with a dilemma (which one to use) and a challenge (to moc the other one into something else). Regardless, I'm very excited to see the reveal and I'm sure that I'll love it. I am hoping for at least one new winter torso and the new scarf piece, from the Ninjago movie sets, in a different colour. I'd also really really love to see a woollen hat with a pom pom on top, not sure why that's never happened yet!! All the previous WV sets have had several small builds with them so it does seem possible that some transport option from the village to the station could be included.
  13. Oh there would be much sadness in our house if the Elves line were to finish. It is the favourite theme of our daughters for sure, and in fact my younger daughter was resisting Lego until ahe received the water dragon set and absolutely loved it. I think another high fantasy line could be compatible. My girls aren't at all interested in the super heroes girl sets so would have to be content with Friends and city.
  14. Yes, wow is the right word! Absolutely gorgeous. So many details. I think the rickshaw and it's two occupants are one of my favourite details. The building is beautiful.
  15. Beautiful! Such a lovely scene. My favourite building is the one on the left. I like the real rocks jutting out from under the wall, and the gently rippling water.
  16. This looks really cute - love the swan and the table tennis table. Always like to have more animals too.
  17. Ah well a real tree like that would be great but too much for a freebie, I guess. It is like the cardboard houses that came with the chicken minifigure and gingerbread man. It is a special kind of torture to see that never made, gorgeous winter outfit (on left hand side of box in first picture) printed on the box but not actually real. Hopefully we will see that torso appear in this year's winter village set....
  18. This is magnificent from start to finish. So many details but my favourite has to be the torture chamber. The stained glass windows are superb and worth every single one of those partly used sticker sheets!! Also really love the top room with the prisoner egg and the cauldron on the roof. I look forward to seeing your goblin king's castle MOC!
  19. Oh I wish they would make a set in this theme to complement the winter village series! I like your ideas Yooha, my favourite is the hiker with that lovely snowy mountain map. I also really like your little girl wearing the headphones as earmuffs- perfect! Of course if Lego produced a fun in the snow set we could hope for several new winter torsos, the new scarf piece (coming soon in a couple of the ninjago movie sets) in new colours, and some new winter hats, which I think are long overdue.
  20. The hospital set looks amazing. I would have been so happy to have this as a child. Now my daughter has been saving her money for this set. I am not sure that as a household we need two of it. So I am hoping for a hospital modular. In the meantime I will be getting most of the Friends ski sets. They look like a fun addition to the winter village albeit a more modern look than the official winter village sets.
  21. Thanks for posting this. It looks huge in this video!!
  22. Thanks, that's a good idea to put the tile on a plate first, I had never thought of that funnily enough. I will try it. As much as stickers are annoying to position, I think these ones will really add to the model as the reflections as everything moves will look very pretty. I wasn't planning on having a permanent fairground in my city due to space limitations, but this set is so gorgeous that I will renovate the city square to give it a permanent home!!
  23. It would look fabulous in the centre of your large city square, LegoSjaak!! Canberra has one in the city centre, in a large pedestrian area lined with shops. I know my kids will love to recreate that area with their own carousel, now.
  24. Yes I am very pleased that it is smaller, as it will fit both my money and space budgets better. It does look similar in style to the grand carousel though which is fantastic. The yellow (gold?) sails don't immediately appeal but I will reserve judgement for seeing it for real. If they are gold then I think it will look amazing and be easier to mod the other colours. If yellow then it may not be as attractive, but I am not such a purist that I wouldn't consider replacing them with fabric in another colour. I think this will be a particularly fun set to mod and despite not having any other fairground sets yet, hubby and I just looked at the picture and went 'yes'!!
  25. What a gorgeous build! There are so many details and each of them is a delight. The stonework looks fantastic and real; I love the roof and the lush garden. Inside I think the bathroom looks luxurious and I too like the waffle tile floormats! I also like all the different lamps around the home.
